After purchasing our first home, I agonized for months about what floors to get and where to get them. I spent HOURS researching online. I got 4 different local quotes on install. I thought I'd chosen who and what I wanted, but I decided to stop by Flooring 101 on a whim. I am so thankful I did. Immediately I was greeted by Eric, and because of him, I love my floors WAY more than I would have without him. He answered all my questions and spent lots of time helping me chose something that fit my budget. Because of his suggestions, I went in a slightly different direction than I originally planned, and our floors turned out to be our very favorite thing about our new home (and we updated every single thing). Eric was helpful and responsive the entire process, and they worked around our crazy schedule and last minute changes. Installation went great, and when there was a small problem, they were quick to fix it and make it right. And perhaps most importantly? The price was fantastic. Eric made sure they couldn't be beat. I would highly recommend this company! I enjoyed working with them and I LOVE the finished product! (Coretech XL). Thank you Flooring 101 and thank you, Eric! read more

AMAZING from beginning to end! Erick was great at helping us choose options and so patient. And when it came time to place our order, he went above and beyond to get us the best price. Then there were our installers who were also AMAZING! Efficient is an understatement! I was gone for 40 mins and came back to carpet out and prep work well underway. Tony was fantastic at walking me through each step of installation, making sure he knew what we wanted. And when there was an issue with a too high moisture read in our bathroom, he explained what they would do to dry the area and then what the options were when the moisture read was still too high. I also received a call from Jessica, a company rep, who also went through the options regarding that area of floor and that they would get a crew back to finish ASAP once the issue was resolved. Thank you everyone! Stephanie read more

After discovering over 1,000 square feet of the flooring in our new home had to be redone, we were overwhelmed with the number of choices as well as the cost. An interior designer recommended Flooring 101 so we went to take a look. Erik Teegarden went over all of the floor options with us and made knowledgeable recommendations and worked within our budget. He went over the measure with us and accommodated our tight schedule (which kept changing). The Coretec floors are absolutely GORGEOUS, the installation team was fabulous and we highly recommend Flooring 101 and Erik, who was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. We may do our living room next and I will definitely use Flooring 101 again--they are friendly and knowledgeable and exceeded our expectations. read more

We just had wood flooring installed throughout most our house. We would highly recommend Flooring 101. We had a bid from another company, but we found more selection at their showroom, and they were much nicer. They really made sure the work was going to progress around our busy lifestyle. Imagine that! The installers were second to none. You could tell these guys were craftsmen, not just installers. They really fussed over the little details to make a perfect job. Our salesperson Chris, he met the installers the morning the job started to make sure everything got going smoothly. Not only did we have a great experience with the selection and installation, they were a few thousand dollars less than the other company. We will absolutely be going back. read more

I visited many flooring stores to check out samples and wasn't finding what I wanted. I accidently stumbled across Flooring 101 and hit the jackpot! Randy assisted me and was the absolute best person I've run across. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, professional, and he's a YES person. I had a complicated situation and he was overly accommodating. The variety of flooring was very good and I ended up getting a laminate that looked like real wood. At other stores the laminates looked fake, but Flooring 101 had some excellent choices. They did the demolition and installation and it looks beautiful. I can't say enough about Randy and the company. This should be your first stop when choosing any type of new flooring. read more

Our experience with Tony at the 101 Flooring at the Goleta location was awesome from start to finish! He showed us every sample available and told us about each brand and kept us updated all along the way on what to expect and when our flooring would be delivered. His expert flooring guys did our whole house in 1 1/2 days, complete with extra leveling of floors. The installers were very professional and cleaned up at the end of the day. We picked the Coretec premium vinyl planking and it is a superior product that has been awesome! I have total confidence to recommend 101 Flooring to anyone in need of new flooring, from carpet, to hardwood to the PVP, you can't go wrong! read more

Tony has been a great colleague and go to person for our flooring business, when we install vinyl flooring we always recommend to our clients his Oceanside collection. It feels great knowing that I can provide a product to my clients where I personally know the manufacturer and know that 101 will stand by their product. Tony is always ansering his phone or calling us back asap and is eager and ready to help. We often fall back on eachother for differnt flooring needs as we dont install carpet and he doesnt sand and refinish floors, we often both refer each other for different scopes of flooring work.I highly reccomend stopping in and meeting Tony. read more

I highly recommend Flooring 101. I worked with John P to figure out how to best put new flooring for a house being remodeled. He was so patient and gave me a good deal. It was such a pleasure working with him, as I went back and forth on several possibilities and John and the others are very good with their customers. In the end, I selected a great laminate and they did the whole house. Again I highly recommend this business and you can always ask for John. Also a shout-out to Tony (owner) and his awesome Chihuahua ("Nacho")! read more

I recently moved into an older home that needed new floors throughout, and after visiting other flooring centers in town, I decided to go with Flooring 101 for both my vinyl planks and carpet. Flooring 101 had such a large display of carpet and wood, vinyl wood plank and laminate flooring. Erik was very helpful in educating us on the different types of flooring to help us achieve our goal of "low maintenance." We were very pleased with the courteous, efficient installers and the completed job, as well as Erik's courteous follow-up. He was here when the installers started, came by when the job was finished. read more

Just had a great experience at Flooring 101 in Goleta. No pressure and very helpful - that is how I would describe Erik Teegarden, the salesman who helped me out. There are so many choices, however, working with Randy who helped me with my choices was great. You get to take samples home to see how they look, which helped me a lot. Randy came out and measured, gave me a quote that I was very happy. Now that the floor is in I love it, should have done it sooner. Thanks. read more
