He explains all the things you need to consider in a bathroom, or the kind of hardware to buy. Andrew, who showed up everyday was always on time. His tile work is neat. On the last day of the project, he thoroughly cleaned so there was no mess. Overall, it was a smooth experience and we're happy with the results.

I felt that Fabian was a trustworthy contractor from his professionalism, detailed explanations to my questions, and quick responses. There was a team of 5 others aside from Fabian and they were all courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I was impressed that so many people showed up to get the work done quickly. I added additional drywall and plumbing work and the work performed by this company was absolutely amazing. They fixed mistakes that a previous plumber created. The previous plumber took messy shortcuts and Avelar remodeling really takes pride in getting the job done right. Above all, the customer service was extremely excellent and Fabian offered a lot of home improvement insight that was very valuable. We had a vision, and Mike brought it to life!…read more We've tackled our fair share of remodel projects over the years, but nothing quite prepared us for the leap into a complete, ground-up ADU build. We knew this wasn't a project to hand off to just anyone, we needed a true expert, someone who could steer us through every twist and turn with confidence. That's exactly what we found in Mike. From our very first meeting, Mike had a calm, reassuring presence that told us we were in good hands. He listened closely to our vision, asked the right questions, and laid out a clear path forward that immediately put our minds at ease. And trust us, our minds needed easing, we came to him with a steady stream of nervous, sometimes repetitive questions, and he never once made us feel like a burden. He answered every single one with patience, warmth, and genuine reassurance. Communication was a true highlight of working with Mike. He kept us updated at every stage, so we always knew exactly where things stood. What could have been an incredibly stressful, all-consuming process instead felt manageable, even exciting. He also took the reins on coordinating with city inspectors throughout the entire build, handling all the back-and-forth so we didn't have to lift a finger. That alone lifted a massive weight off our shoulders. And the icing on the cake? He finished the entire project ahead of the estimated timeline, without ever cutting corners on quality or care. If you're on the fence about a big build like this, let us save you the trouble: call Mike. He turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one we're genuinely grateful for, and the final result speaks for itself. We couldn't recommend him more highly.

It was open, modern and made for entertaining. We just didn't know whether anyone could deliver it. Mike did. He redesigned the whole layout around how we live. Today it's a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with an open floor plan, a real laundry room and the ensuite master we always wanted. Every time I walk through it, I'm amazed at how different it feels. One thing that set Mike apart was the 3D renderings. That was a step above what we expected. We could see the layout before anything was built, and Mike could make any adjustment we asked for with seeming ease. We reviewed the changes quickly and landed on the perfect layout. We never had to guess what the finished home would look like. We were nervous about hiring a contractor. We'd heard the horror stories about unreliability, poor work and overpaying. Mike put those fears to rest early. He listened closely, answered every question patiently, and never made us feel like we were asking too much. We felt like partners with him, not just customers. He cared about the outcome as much as we did, and he kept working until we were happy. If you have a vision for your home and need someone who can design it and build it, call Mike. He was a blessing to work with, and we now have our dream house. We were so impressed with the process that we immediately started a 1000sqft ADU with MDM that was just completed. We recommend him without hesitation.

Our project was extensive--we renovated our kitchen, remodeled a bathroom that required moving walls, replaced all of our home's windows, and relocated doors. To make things even more challenging, we were living in the house throughout the renovation with our three young children. From the very beginning, Joe gave us confidence that we were in good hands. He quickly developed the plans, handled the permitting process, worked with the city, and kept the project moving forward efficiently. What impressed us most was Joe's foresight and honesty. He identified potential issues early on, including the possibility that we would need a new electrical panel. While that wasn't the news we were hoping for, he had prepared us for the possibility well in advance, so there were no surprises. Brent and Luke, the primary members of Joe's team working in our home, were fantastic. They went above and beyond to contain the mess and make our living situation as comfortable as possible. With three kids coming home from school every day, their thoughtfulness and professionalism made a huge difference. Throughout the entire project, Joe was an excellent communicator, keeping us informed every step of the way. He stayed on schedule, remained within budget, and delivered quality work that we are extremely happy with. I highly recommend Joe and the team at Built Right Construction. If we ever have another home renovation project, they will be the very first call we make.
