Customer service is lacking! We loaded 300 lbs of product from our car to a cart and walked into the store. A man said oh we are closed. It was literally 7:02 and they close at 7! We should have asked for a manager, but I don't know if it would have made a difference. They are the worst and that is only one of many stories! read more

Store is great. I like all the product that is shown and the staff for the most part is very friendly. I think the big issue is that the products are not always the highest quality. It is hit and miss. Sometimes the tile for example is great. Other times it is second run, not square or just about ready to crack. Depending on what you are looking for it could be a great place to shop. If you are trying to save money on the product this a great option. You need to find an installer that will guarantee and warrantee the work and that might be tough. Home Depot or Lowes is a better choice. There are also some great full service flooring providers that I'm evaluating where I can buy the product and get them to install as well. I like that idea and they bring the product to my house so I can shop at home. I have found one or two that seem to have a lot of variety. read more

We are impressed with the service at this Floor and Decor location. I walked in with a tileing project in mind and felt completely overwhelmed about what to do or where to start. Just as I was about to walk out the door someone kindly asked If i needed help and directed me to speak with a contractor who happened to be available. After given some guidance about tile selection. I was out the door with some samples and a plan. I scheduled an estimate to be completed and before you know it I was provided with a shopping list! This weekend I purchased all of my supplies and again needed assistance. Seth was awesome and once again we left the store happy and confident in our purchase and upcoming tiling project! I went in to this location dreading having to pick out backsplash for my kitchen and generally just having way too many questions I didn't know how to answer for myself. I was very lucky to get assistance from Cindy, One of this locations design experts. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable of all of the design tangents I asked about (I figured I would pick her brain about current remodel questions I have since this is just not my area of expertise), she was able to clue me into the different/better options for grout and all of the other things that would make application easier. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I probably would have given up or not had all of the necessary tools at the very least for the project if it weren't for her. I didn't know where to start as I needed to match the new closet tile to current tile in an adjoining bathroom. I was so overwhelmed. This is the absolute worst company I have ever worked with. Ordered flooring from them and they lost the shipment, took us over a month to figure that out. The flooring arrives and it is very poor quality so we request a refund and that took another month to figure out. They finally pick up the flooring and we get a call from an associate. I have tried to contact them four times, following all the correct prompts, and the line rings and then I get disconnected. Expecting to take another month before I can actually get ahold of someone. I really don't know how this company is still in business. read more

I wouldn't buy from them again. Basically if you open it or try to install it then it's yours. Even after you notice a defect that is not noticeable until after it's installed. Customer service is non-existent. You wait on the phone forever to find you that they can't really help you. That is if they even answer the phone. Their curbside pick up is the worst. I was never notified that my order was ready with a text or email as stated. Then you get conflicting information if you log in to check. I had pending and ready for pickup notices at the same time. We've decided even if they are the only place that carries what we want, we won't be buying from Floor and Decor. Can't believe I'm saying this, but Home Depot and Lowes is better. read more

We got 3 granite tile samples which we paid $25. The granite was for our kitchen . When I went to return the 3 samples, they could not find where we had bought the samples and would not give me my money back. Talk about poor customer service! The kids at the cash revister wanted a receipt and could not find anything under the phone number for samples. They offered to give me $5 for one of the samples but since I didn't have my husband's debit card, that was not possible. I gave them back the samples and said fix your damn computer system! Suggeations: 1) Get a computer system that works with the phone number and lists all the transactions for that customer. 2) Give training to the cashiers so they know what to do when a customer brings back $25 in samples. 3) Call a manager when this happens. read more

They simply will NOT answer their phones on the weekends, did not communicate when our flooring arrived, and we had 4 different employees stand there looking at us when we entered the store and never asked us if we needed help...and we were standing at the help desk! This is the store to go to if you need design ideas, they have a large selection of tiles, flooring, accessories that are priced from affordable to high end. Lucky for me Designer Penny Miller helped me choose my bathroom tiles, Penny did not rush me and generated a computer design of my two bathrooms with my tile choices, she also helps me pick out the perfect grout color. Again, this is a wonderful store for tiles and flooring, and I highly suggest to ask for Penny Miller for design assistance. read more

We had our kitchen counters replaced by Floor & Decor. It was a nightmare. Floor & Decor does not do the installation. A company named Chivino Surfaces of Mesa does. First a Chivino employee came out to measure the counters and backsplash. He was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Weeks later a crew came out to install the counters. The installers damaged my brand new $1200 dishwasher. They also failed to measure my backsplash correctly. In addition to poor measurements and damaging my property, they left a huge mess in my front yard. I called the Floor & Decor manager, he referred me to Chivino. Chivino has to be one of the worst companies to deal with. They refused to do anything. Further calls to Floor & Decor went unanswered. Stay away from Floor & Decor. You might save money on the front end but it will ultimately cost you more in the long run. read more

It was as if she didn't have time to stop and talk to us and then said she only had one other person on the floor and she didn't really know anything about a shower floor pan kit. The experience I had the other day at the store at 7022 E. Hampton Ave, Mesa, AZ 85209 is beyond any acceptable and appropriate customer service you would expect to have when shopping. My intent was to get some more flooring to help finish an ongoing project and possibly some samples for a future project, but I ended up leaving the store shaken and empty handed. First, I am a female, and while it shouldn't matter, I believe it does as related to how this male employee acted. I was first approached from behind from one sales person asking if I needed any help, I said "no thank you" and continued about my business. He did not stop there and immediately start talking about shop policy how I cannot return boxes of flooring once open, etc. I replied politely "thank you for letting me know". I walked away and continued to mind my own business. I eventually put two boxes of a laminate floor on my cart and went to the next isle to check other flooring. While I was looking at other samples another sales associate approached me and start asking if I need help. I said "No, thank you". He then stood there and continuously watched what I was doing and again asked if I need help. I again said "No, I am good, thank you". Finally, he left and when about a minute later he came back and started asking me if the cart I had put two boxes of flooring on was a my cart, I responded "yes, this is my cart." He asked if I was sure that this was my cart and if I am taking the products which were on the cart. I said "yes, maybe?" I was confused by his questioning as he continued with further comments asking me if I am sure I am taking those items, if I know that those are laminate, and if I take them and open the box I can't return them ect. At this point I grew tired and was rather uncomfortable of this strange aggressive interrogation, so I asked him "what is the problem?" He then asked me why I was being defensive. I said "you're constantly bothering me, asking strange questions and I told you that I don't need your help". Again he asked why I was being so defensive. At this point I had enough his interrogative attitude so I sharply responded to him to leave me alone, then took my cart and headed towards the front of the store and cashiers. He started asking what I just said to him and when I just ignored him, he aggressively snatched the cart from my hands and started yelling at me to "get out from the store"! At this point I was getting rather frightened and told him he needed to get a manager, he simply yelled at me to "get yourself a manager!", shaken by the experience I did find a manager. The manager Tami said she would talk to the employee but overall, seemed disinterested in the situation and the employee's behavior. Having worked retail I know being overly attentive to a customer is a reaction to suspecting them of shoplifting. But this was extreme and harsh, not to mention totally unnecessary! Also I'm not sure how someone can shoplift two 30 pound, 4 ft long boxes of laminate flooring! But evidently this harassing behavior is encouraged and condoned by Floor and Décor management. I also assume they have video surveillance in the store so encourage F&D to show any video to refute my testimony. I still need flooring to finish my project, but it seems I will need to return with an escort! read more

Great experience at this store. Don got us what we needed right away and we were out within less than half an hour. Instead of waiting for the warehouse to bring out the flooring to the car, he packed it himself and brought it out to our car. Don was very knowledgeable and helpful. read more

We purchased tile for the first time from the Floor and Decor on Hampton in Mesa AZ. Being novices at the project we had questions on color of grout, what kind of grout, size of spacers, type of sealer etc... We were so pleased with the assistance we received from Ray that on our next two trips back to get supplies we looked for Ray again. Ray was very knowledgeable and patient. But there two reasons this location stands out to me and that's Amanda & Rebecca back at the pro desk. These two have been a tremendous help for me numerous times since this location has opened and I can't thank them enough. I don't hesitate for a moment to send any of my homeowners in and ask for either of them directly. Need to check stock on something? No problem...I've contacted Amanda on a weekend and she's had an order pulled for me & ready for my guys to pick up in a matter of hours. Pro's: Selection, Price, Friendly employees Con's: Efficiency My wife was in the store and ordered at noon and was told i could pick up in a few hours. I showed up 6 hours later and after having to track down several associates who had no idea what to do (no one was in the pick up area), we finally found someone who discovered it hadn't even been pulled. The whole pick up process should have been 10 minutes and took over an hour. When i went to return the extras, there was only one associate and register in that area. The associate was very friendly and had a great time talking with a couple ahead of me and it ended up taking over 20 minutes simply to return the stock. I also needed to special order a transition piece. There were no pictures in store or online and I was told it was not returnable, so i need to just hope and trust it works. I asked if i could order it online later and they said no problem. That afternoon i tried to order online, but the piece wasn't in the system. So i called the store and was told they can't take a phone order, even though i have a credit card with them on file in a different store (farther away). So now i get to go back into the store to make a special order on a transition piece and wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive, then, yup, i get to go back to pick it up. Bottom line, they're friendly and have good material, but they are living in the stone age (pun intended) with their process and systems. Not an expedient or efficient process. I have no problem ordering online or via phone w/ the Home Depot. F & D are friendly but don't seem to appreciate people's time. UPDATE the day after all this, i decided to try to order from the 1 800 number instead of driving to the store and i was able to get it done in 5 minutes. I don't understand why the 1 800 number can take my order and payment, but a local store can't do the same. read more

When you walk in their door a huge banner says "Over a million square foot of tile in stock" however that was not our experience. We went to floor and decor and bought some tile floor samples took them home and narrowed it down. When we went back to purchase the floor we had picked was back order 139,000 units so we had to pick another. We were also there to buy our butcher block countertop which we would learn they were no longer carrying. So we went back to tile and picked new samples. The following day we go back and this store has just sold out of the next floor we had chose, but they had it in Glendale we would just have to pick it up there. The next countertop we chose they had 2 at port we could get in 10 business days and the 3rd piece at Glendale. Then we leaned the piece Glendale had was split up the middle.... we decided on a 3rd countertop but everywhere in the valley was out of that one. We decided to skip the countertop for now and just buy the floor. Monday night we paid for the floor they told us they had and would hold for us in Glendale. Tuesday we went to pick up the floor in Glendale and learned they had sold it to someone else. They asked if there was another floor we were interested in.. there was however it was $1 per square foot price difference. They couldn't price match for us but they brought the price down .59¢ so not only did they sell our tile but we ended up spending another $500 for our floor! To say we were disappointed is an under statement. We definitely won't be shopping at floor and decor for the rest of our home renovations. read more

BUYER BEWARE! If I could give this store negative stars I would. This is by far the worst Company I have ever experienced. After long consideration, my Husband and I decided we wanted to remodel our kitchen by installing quartz countertops. We found Floor and Décor prices the cheapest (which we later found out why) so we decided to go with them. We picked out the most expensive quartz offered at Floor and Décor, as we loved the white color with subtle gray veins. My husband and I asked if we could pick out the quartz slabs, and the staff advised us that the specific quartz we wanted all looked exactly the same and we would not need to pick out our slabs. Upon installation of our countertops 1.5 months after ordering, the WRONG material was delivered. The countertop material had huge black tiger stripes throughout, and was also the WRONG measurements! The countertop island material was 3 inches short on one side, and they had placed a seam (which they initially told us since our island was so small there wouldn't be a seam) directly in the center of the island, and the big black tiger stripes didn't even match up! We were furious! Immediately called the store and told them of the wrong material being delivered, only later to receive a phone call stating that the material was within the quartz variations as agreed upon. After back and forth of Floor and Décor wanting to wipe the slate clean and call it a loss, we were already three payments in on our Floor and Décor credit card for an item we didn't even have yet! Not to mention the store manager was completely unhelpful, as I emailed her numerous times and received measly responses days/weeks later. Floor and Décor then offered for us to go look at "our quartz slabs" at two designated fabricators. My husband and I went to both places, and they both stated they didn't carry that specific quartz! This is probably why the wrong quartz countertops was delivered, because the two places didn't even carry our correct quartz material. After long deliberation, they allowed us to pick a material that was close to our original white quartz that we purchased from Floor and Décor. The material looked very similar to the one in the display room at Floor and Décor, only later did they say that the material was actually $17/sq. foot more. RIDICULOUS! This was convenient for them to say, as we had just sent an email a few days prior asking for some sort of compensation for this entire mess. Their response was Floor and Décor was essentially eating the additional charge for the quartz that we had picked out and this was our reimbursement?? LIES! I called the company to ask of the price they charge per sq. foot, as the lady on the phone couldn't tell me the exact number since I wasn't a fabricator, she did inform me that this quartz was not the most expensive one they offer and was a level 4/6 on the price point. They wouldn't even agree to expedite the second measurements or installation of the correct countertops. All in all, this company did nothing to improve customer satisfaction or ensure us that they would take care of this problem. Instead we were countertop-less for 3 MONTHS (kitchen being held together by particle board and bungee cords) and the company could have cared less! Please don't ever use this place for any home remodeling, they have cheap prices but they also use cheap labor companies. Floor and Décor has ZERO customer service and ZERO interest in rectifying any issues caused by them to improve customer satisfaction at all! Save your money and go elsewhere!! read more
