I had lots of questions and Tim McGinness answered all my questions from what mortars to use for a bathtub surround, to what tile sizes work good for a beginner or intermediate tile layer. Love this store. I'm presently remodeling two bathrooms. Not only do you have many choices for mosaics, tiles, travertine,, marble sticks, but free designer help. My wife and I worked with Karla Eschenbacher. She made the process easy, very good at bathroom design, and fun to work with. You don't see folks spraying tile with water to see the true color, she did. I recommend this store not only for good pricing and choices but for free professional designer support. Putting new flooring in our home and it's been a pleasure working with Sherman. He knows his stuff, didn't need my flooring guy to come with me. I've had to come back more than once when he wasn't there due to some of the other employees error. I will now only call ahead to make sure he's there before I go in. Huge selection! I was so excited when I walked through the doors! Employees were a bit off putting. Not super helpful. The manager was nice but the others didn't seem to have much expertise. I actually ended up helping a customer when I heard her asking and employee what she needed to frame out some tile. The poor employee had no idea what a pencil line was! Great customer service! Went into the store off Hampton in Mesa on June 3rd to purchase the tile I had decided on prior to. Charolette was super friendly and helpful in helping us place the order. Today I received a thank you card from Floor and Decor. Very few businesses send thank you cards and for a store that seems as big as Floor and Decor to send a thank you card shows me how much they value their customers and the type of service they offer. I was so excited to be able to save some money and buy my own tile. They have a good selection. But if something goes wrong with the tile don't expect anyone to help you out. Let me start by saying we re did 1800 sq ft of tile. Meaning we spend around $4k in the store in one night. We bought a gray wood/tile for all over and a porcelain MATTE white for the bathrooms and our master closet. Well the tile was installed and we found random GLOSSY tiles all over our bathroom. (and NO this is not an installer error when it's the MANUFACTURERS AND STORES job to make sure the correct tile is in the correct box!!!!!!) There were random glossy tiles not sorted through inside boxes we bought. I called and their solution was to give US the supplies to fix the tile. When I just finished paying someone over $2,000 to install the tile. What do I benefit from getting the supplies to fix it???? NOTHING, because I am now out the money to pay someone AGAIN for a mistake that WAS NOT OUR ERROR. So just be warned. If you have a problem that is THEIR ERROR, they will not help you. Only offering "supplies" and creating more work for you. read more

Had a bathroom remodel done by the store , they sent a OSWAR TORRES to my house to do the job , Horrible job done by this individual, I called the store and the inspector came out to look . Found out (OSWAR TORRES ) did not use the materials he was given to do the shower install , Floor and Decor sent a demo team out and redone my shower completely over again, why do they Hire such incompetent people like (OSWAR TORRES) to do work in peoples homes .This contractor worked for the Mesa Floor and Decor store I have proof of the sale and job description , The Store has contractors who they use , Victor was in charge of the contractors , I have proof that the work was done by Floor and Decor in house contractor (OSWAR TORRES) who they recommended and who ruined the shower install and had to be done completely over again by Floor and Decor . read more

Shamara helped us with our bathroom remodel questions and selections last week at the Tempe store. We needed a few more decorative edges; we returned and asked an associate to check for us...he looked for 10 minutes but he said they were out of that style (should have found Shamara as soon as we walked in!). This store never answers their phones. God forbid the employees actually help you. Can't find anyone to assist and when you ask for help they come up with some lame excuse that they can't pull a new pallet of Marble because it will take them 1/2 an hour to be able to do that and they can't put out a new pallet until all the pieces are sold... mind you, all the 9 pieces they have on the floor, are scratched and can't be polished so good luck finding a buyer to buy the scratched up Marble. I had to drive all the way to Tempe and they did pull the pallet out and they let me hand pick the pieces I needed to finish our bathroom remodel. This store has lazy employees. Buyer beware. Decided to give them a second try. Spent a good deal of time looking online before making a store visit. Found the perfect tile after much searching when I logged into the Mesa store at Floor and Decor. However, after talking to one of the Pro's (designers), the tile is only available somewhere in the South. If I wanted that tile I would have to order from them and pay for shipping expenses from the South! The pro designer told me that they do not agree with the store policy about "putting everything online even when it's unavailable." "Customers come into the store expecting to find a tile and we can't get it." So don't waste your time bothering to even look online. If the item is unavailable then it should not be on the website - especially when logging into Mesa (local) store. They do no shipping free of charge store to store even if the item is part of their inventory but is out-of-stock! Returning to Monterey Tile in Mesa - the inventory is not nearly as large but the customer service and store policy is far superior. read more

If I could give Chivino and Floor and Decor zero stars that is exactly where I would start and take away more stars if I could. Worst experience I have had in sometime with the subcontractor business model. They broke both vanities and we went a week without them. They cut a backsplash short and then they did not inform me that they only cut the hole for a drop-in sink but do not install it like they do with the undermount sinks. Buyer beware.... read more
