Got here early to get someone's job done. Heck. I'm not a contractor. Trying to save money, I hired a contractor for labor only. I do all the shopping and paying for my own material. This happened to be the closest Floor & Decor store to Chinatown. It's near Highway 6 and Westheimer. Easy access. So, be careful driving in front of Alief ISD building. No, avoid that building. Tons of speed bumps. I got more help from this store than other stores. I initially started at the showroom in the Galleria area. Picked up stuff at Dacoma store. I came here to get more supplies. Store agents on weekends are more helpful, for some reason. Although, it's a national chain. I learned something new from these helpful employees than any other F&D stores. But I can't come here as often because it costs toll charges. I would, however, come back for inspirations. read more

Count your boxes. I left the store with the employee loading the boxes into my vehicle. When I got home, I unloaded them. Sat in the entry hall for a few days. Then the floor installers started working and just prior to finishing up they needed one more box. I counted the empty boxes that held the floor (engineered hardwood). I was short one. Had to rush tot he store. Spoke with someone who said he would have to count the remaining boxes. Said he came up correct and then checked the camera to see if it would reveal how many boxes was loaded. It was inconclusive but I was short a box, had to purchase another to finish while the guys waited on my return. I was shorted a box. My fault for not counting them. They shorted me. So I paid for a box twice. Not happy. read more

I had a leak in my kitchen and I had to get new floor. The Floor & Decor has everything you could ever dream of for your floors. Decisions are hard with the ample floor choices. But I already knew what type of tile I want for my kitchen. Employee Saul was going by and explained to me about floor PEI (hardness) ratings and difference between pressed and rectified tile. I npticed bamboo floors too. Once I chose a porcelain floor, Saul loaded the tile boxes into a big cart. He said even if a box is open, I can return unused pieces. Yay! After I paid, he took my purchase to my car and loaded it into my trunk. This store is affordable and I've always bought floors from them for my remodeling projects. read more

about yr and half ago had floors put in by contractor they were a laminate oak suppose to be waterproof scratch proof and chip etc even had a warranty. when I first was picking up boxes they looked good then as I picked up more I noticed when open boxes I saw some boards looked like they were smashed on couple corners exchanged them then got couple more boxes with damaged pieces exchanged them. Had floors evened out also matting that goes under floors. as time went on I saw couple places that were peeling apart where the floors met and couple of chips randomly out of floors. As time went on more and more of the planks were peeling apart in different parts of house. now I'm left with damaged floors How do I address this problem? As many boxes I had to take back with bad boards I believe the whole pallet must have been a bad batch of flooring. Please help I don't want to have to redo all my floors too expensive read more

My wife and I were in the Floor & Decor in Humble, TX on 7/28/23. We came in to pay for the Ceramic Wood Tile we ordered. Cristal brought several things to our attention that are extremally important: what color grout did we plan on using and insured all the tile as from the same dye lot. She also called around to other stores to insure we had enough material to complete our order. She is very customer focused. It is obvious that she likes her job. Let me start by saying all employees here are the beat helpful staff always trying to help! Today I come to pickup a bathroom sink that I order online. It happen to be crack the manager Ernest told me he could go ahead and order me another one or I could get a discount which it was tempting but I decided not to and get another one. Come inside the store and trying to pick a new one. Mr Carl a sweet gentleman was helping me out with the ones available and I ask him which one he think it would look good. DO NOT order online from this company, or have items delivered! I ordered $8,500 worth of wood flooring online. After it was almost two weeks late and no communication, I called the customer service center. All the call center people do is phone the store and sit on hold like you do. The first girl gave up after no one answered at the store. I waited on hold for 30 minutes with the second person who then promised to research it and call me back. He never did. So, having no other options I went into the nearest store, on Westheimer. It took over an hour to establish that my original order had apparently disappeared into a black hole. They could see it in the computer, but it had somehow gotten routed to the I-45 store, where it was never seen or heard from again. No explanation was given. So we canceled that order and reordered the material. This past Friday, I spoke to a manager, who told me that Bob had scheduled my delivery for Monday. He said I would have it by lunchtime. So I scheduled three construction trades this week to follow the flooring installation. Today, Monday, I hear nothing from F&D. So I called them, and spoke to Bob. Bob said that the delivery truck didn't pick up my order because it was too HEAVY and he MIGHT be able to get someone to deliverit tomorrow. My flooring is now almost four weeks late, and they can't figure out how to order a truck for 56 boxes of wood, information that is clearly stated on the invoice. Floor & Decor is costing me time and money, and I do not recommend them. Also note that they will only deliver to your driveway, not inside. So if you have over 2,000 pounds of material like I did, be prepared to carry it in yourself. read more

I decided to renovate our home and place tile floors in a bedroom. Turns out we had no idea where the original home owners obtained the tiles that were already placed throughout the house. I arrived at home decor with a picture of the old tiles and Juana helped me find the right tiles which matched almost perfectly!! You can hardly tell the difference! She is very knowledgeable and helped me pick out all the tools and materials I needed to get the project done. Juana even called me a few days after to see how the project was going which I appreciate wholeheartedly! Her customer service was beyond amazing!!! Here as soon as I arrived an employee came to talk to me about tile. Melvin came to the rescue. He gave us some tips about the best products to use when putting tile. Floor and decor has good prices but their return policy is not fair. We spent at least $15k at Floor and Decor to remodel our home. They told us we could return excess product and then they refuse to return it OR provide store credit because it's past their 90 day return window which they never tell you about (been about 120 days). The product is unopened and still being sold, the glue is even in high demand. It's sad how inflexible these stores have become. Thank you for nothing floor and decor! We won't be back because stores need to be flexible when it's the right thing to do. read more

I walked into this particular location with my cart and found exactly what I wanted. Fine. No problem. Now, lets get some help. I walked around this big store looking for a representative to help me pick up some items and make sure I had everything I needed for my laminate floor installation. I finally located 2 representatives talking with other customers. I walked up to one to ask if there was another rep that could assist me. The young representative got on her walkie talkie, in which, I could barely hear her call for another representative to help me. I waited approximately 5 minutes. No one. I then walked to the other side of the store, saw an older representative and asked is she could get me a male to help pick up items for me. The lady looked at me...walked off shrugging her shoulders. I stood there for another 5 minutes thinking she was bringing someone back but she disappeared. Finally, I walked to the front of the store and asked cashier if she could call for assistance for me. She did. I waiting another 6 minutes. Then I saw a representative who I asked, "so are you here to help me?" She stated, "oh no, Im helping them, we are just short staffed" and she continued to help her customers. I ended up with my cart in the front of the store waiting for help and was rudely ignored! I eventually left my cart and just walked out the store! Im a nurse who takes care of our Veterans that specialize in good quality customer service. This was the worst ever and I left that store feeling more upset and disappointed at people than angry. This was my first and last time coming to this location. Your customer service policies need to be reviewed. Times are hard these days...we need unity, peace and love for one another not strife and upset. read more

Went to Floor Decor on Hwy 6, my guy Kamesh was expert in his materials and helped us in 10 mins. He helped us pick everything we need from tile to cement, to grout and more. He was even helpful in helping us load the items to our truck! Customer service was amazing! Made our experience pleasant because we have been to two different stores with little help, and he accomplished it all in less than 10 minutes. I just purchased a home and I came into this store to get some quotes on material needed for new flooring. The entire staff was extremely friendly and I was immediately approached and asked if I needed any help. This provided me the comfort of knowing I wasn't alone in this new shopping experience. When I came later to pick up the tile a young gentleman by the name of Jeffrey assisted me in loading the material on to the truck. He was very kind and helpful, he even asked me about what I was planning to do to the new house and gave great recommendations on the translation flooring which never crossed my mind. An absolute horrible experience in this store... I was with a client attempting to select tiles for her finishes on her house remodel and we were literally tripping over merchandise in the aisles, on the floors, boxes and pallets strewn about within the pedestrian areas. My client came very close to tripping over a pallet left in the aisle. Adding to this unpleasant experience, the employees were completely unaware of any customers or any customers' needs. When my client and I finally secured 2-3 employees' attention, the employee was unfamiliar with the products or were confused about which products were available. Upon checking out and paying for our purchases (with over $1,000 worth of product), there were at least 5-6 people just "hanging out" at the cashier's station. No one offered to help carry things out or pay attention to any other customers. My client and I sought out a manager on duty to inform them of our dismay and dissatisfaction, but even that fell on deaf ears. It appears that the management of this particular Floor & Decor does not know how to lead or properly train the employees in customer service and product knowledge. My complaint is not with the store locations or product but customer service. I purchased tile in 4/5/23 but found something better at a different store. I cancelled the item in the morning of 4/6 in which I received an email cancellation confirmation with a receipt ensuring refund will be issued 3-10 business days. It has now been 18 days, 12 business days. I've sent several emails and made several phone calls to discover there was an issue because the original agent never aent the refund request to the sales/refund team. Then I was told that the refund was being sent via PayPal which I used my card. I advised that PayPal was not my method of payment and was told "you're correct, your payment was not PayPal and a request to refund your card has been sent". I called again only to hear that my request has already been sent and it takes 24 hours to get a response. I called again and was informed that the process is not an overnight one and to give it time. I called again and received an apology about the unresolved issue and the sales/refund team was closed and wouldn't reopen til M ...today and still no refund. Called today and was told that the email was sent to the team one hour ago and they should be reaching out soon. This is UNACCEPTABLE and poor customer service especially for a company of its caliber. read more

My husband and I just purchased a new house and had to replace the carpet. We walked into the Floor & Decor store on Westheimer and Hwy 6 and were immediately greeted and offered assistance. We kindly declined and proceeded to look around. Their pricing on the material was pretty affordable and their selection was vast!! If we were not on a mission, this would have taken days to narrow down what we wanted because we loved most everything they had! The sample displays were a huge help! Upon making our selection, we waved over at a sales rep and he immediately went into action... he pulled all of our material and walked us over to checkout. There was no waiting in line! My husband pulled our truck up as we were escorted out with our purchase... Shout out to Thomas, Bisi, Victor & David... our entourage that loaded us up and helped us with this awesome experience!! Contrary to the previous reviews we had an A-OK experience here. Nothing spectacular but nothing outstanding either. The store assistants did ask if we needed help but at the same time left us alone so we can browse around. Variety and prices are inline with what you expect to find around Houston but they definitely are the largest and with multiple stores have the greatest selection. Note not all stores carry the same stock so we ended up buying our selection from 2 different locations. Great thing was that the excess unused tiles we returned and got a refund hassle free so for that we are giving 4 stars. read more
