Amazing selection and customer service. I needed some trim tile for a shower addition. The big box Home Improvement stores did not have anything even close to what I wanted. Floor & Decor had exactly what I had in mind at a great price. After I checked out and took my cart to the parking lot, it was pouring rain. I got home and discovered that I had left a portion of my order in the shopping cart. I called the store, and an employee went out to the lot to search for my missing items. Although they could not find them, they told me to come back to the store the next day and they would take care of me. When I got back to the store they replaced my lost items at no charge. Never go to this store. Their inventory is in shambles. Says they have over a hundred boxes of tile but yet they cant find any. They proceeded to tell me it would take weeks to come in. All of the aisle look like they have been half opened and torn apart. I ask to speak to a Manger and they pointed me in the direction of a small man by the name of Tommy. I tried to explain to him that I was working on a large project and needed the vita bella. Tommy did not know his left from his right. Tommy went to the back of his "Warehouse" and it looked like the associates were still sorting through a mess of product. I made an appointment for some design help for several spaces in our new home and was set up with Shantel. I was blown away by how helpful and knowledgeable she was. My appointment was only scheduled for an hour, but she worked with us for over 2 hours. She had great suggestions and knew exactly where everything was on the floor. They don't answer the phone!!! I purchased a vanity from there ... the paint on the vanity is already cracking and the project isn't even complete. I want to return this but now I have to have a plumber come And disconnect it and figure out how to get this back to the store. This business is absolutely awful!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. I ordered tile and spoke to the salesperson on Saturday and was told it was in stock & would be ready for pickup on Sunday. I went on Monday to pickup. We waited for over 4 hours to be told that it wouldn't be ready until Wednesday. Finally was told it's ready on Thursday. Went on Thursday to pickup and had to wait for over 3 hours to get the tile. BTW - nobody answers the phone either! They are terrible!!! Do not buy flooring here if you value your time! read more

We received outstanding service from Sylvie during our design consultation. She listened to our ideas, she even printed out the pictures i sent beforehand. Not all reviews are bad ones. Can't say enough about how welcome the staff made me, my wife, son, and dog feel as we were checking out today. Had a few associates come over to meet the dog and our 8mo old, some were dancing to make our son smile and others were petting the dog. It was our first "maskless" experience, as we are vaccinated so I didn't know how weird it would be. Wasn't weird at all, totally normal, actually better than normal. Floor and Decor of Elizabeth,NJ Is the absolute worst when it comes to customer service, delivery and manager Val is the worst. Huge Purchase and paid shipping a week in advance. Waited all day for paid delivery. Called Elizabeth location all day more than 10X to confirm delivery time - No one picked up the phone. Drove to store on delivery day before closing - at store no one could help. Next morning (day 2) drove to store, gently explained the nightmare situation to manager Val. For almost one hour and half I waited randomly. Val left me sitting there hanging and went about his business without helping. I had to cancel almost $800 worth of order. read more

We had a fantastic experience with Stephany, designer at Floor & Decor! While we had a general idea of what we liked, she persevered with us ;-), in going through tile selections for 3 bathrooms and our kitchen! She had a great handle on all the little extras we needed (trim, etc.) and took us through the store to get what worked well. So -- my first kudos is to Stephany! NEVER buy online! I ordered flooring online with delivery. Over a period of almost three weeks, I had to call each and every day to finally have it delivered. Twice I was told to expect it the next day only to have it not delivered! (Took day off of work both times!) You can check for yourself: try to call their phone number: I was on the phone 1-3 times a day, often for more than an hour in "ring no answer" or "hold please" (Even the "Pro" does not pick up suggesting I should send a text to a landline!) I was hung up on 2x and when did talk to someone: "We only have two people here" On top of all this incredible poor customer service, one box of flooring arrived damaged with forklift marks on the wood. ABSOLUTELY terrible customer service. I am shocked they get away with treating customers this way. Highly suggest visiting the store.. Try to get thru on the phone as a test! read more

I am a loyal customer whom constantly comes to Floor & Decor. Today I've received horrific customer service from HANNNAH. Firstly the entire store was "out of stock" so we asked Hannah if their was any Available Vinyl in the back? She said no, luckily we found a crate placed on top of the shelves & ask her if we may have someone bring it down. Again she proceeded with the word no, & stated that "their no licensed drivers to take it down " Coincidentally 2 minutes later, another person in the aisle ahead got their flooring/crate taken down from the forklift. So we are just in confusion... We ask her are they getting their crates down but we can't? & she simply told us to ask the forklift driver ourself, which was extremely rude! But anywho we did ask him & he denied us as well.. so again we are standing confused? Secondly, we asked if we may speak to a manager, & she stated "we don't have one, he called out sorry" ... so we're flabbergasted at the fact we see the vinyl, we've been lied to & no manager?! She brushes us off telling us sorry she has an appointment and nothing she can do. Eventually we found the manager VAL who was FANTASTIC!!! He simply helped my husband & I in 2 minutes! He explained to us they were short on staff & easily accommodated all of our needs! So I'm extremely sorry for the bad rating but never have I recieved such bad service.. VAL DESERVES 5 stars but Hannah simply ruined it by constantly lying to us.. read more

This place has a great selection of the type of floor we were looking for. We decided to use NuCore Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring and are very happy with the product. I find many big stores fail when it comes to service, but F&D in Elizabeth is an exception. Have not had such good service in a long time since COVID! I usually don't do store reviews but Alex was just a great help even though he seemed to be the only one working that day on the floor in Elizabeth NJ. He was working so hard by himself with no complaints. Even though he was helping others he got right back to me like he said he would in a timely fashion loaded product into my cart and even helped me to my car and never hesitated to help answer questions from other customers. I was so surprised at his good work ethics even though working alone. I would never hesitate to shop in this store with a great worker like Alex. read more

I just had a very bad experience for picking up orders at Floor & Décor Elizabeth store today! 1. Made me wait for 30 minutes without looking for my order. I arrived around 2:20pm and gave my pick-up sheet to a red hair middle aged Caucasian woman (may be in her 50s, I wish I got her name), she told me to wait. I waited at the pick-up area by the gate for about 30 minutes until the other customer who came after me got his items and left. I asked the staff who helped him where my items were? He looked at his device, my pick-up order was not there. He went to the office and got the order. So, for all those time, 30 minutes, that red hair woman did nothing for my order, and just made me wait, and I think she forgot about it. 2. Brought me the items I cancelled a week ago. When the staff brough me my orders, they were WRONG ones. I cancelled a few items last week when I picked up half of my orders, they made changes on the paper and printed out the new one that showed what I was going to pick up next time which I gave it to that red hair woman. After waiting for very long 30 minutes, they brought me all the items I cancelled and missing the ones I added!! 3. Made me wait for another 30 minutes because they could not find my items that I added a week ago. The staff went back to the warehouse to find my orders. I kept waiting by the gate, and no one said anything, I mean no one told me what was going on, just kept me waiting in 90-degree heat. I saw the staff who was helping me walking around the warehouse, I asked him what was going on, he said the items were showing on the computer, but they couldn't find them. I mean shouldn't all my items be ready by now? After another 30 minutes, they finally found them. 4 That red hair woman made the situation worse. The service from that red hair middle aged woman was not professional. The wait would not make me so upset to write a bad review. I understand sometimes things happen. But her cold facial expression, unfriendly service, and unapologetic attitude made the situation worse! After they couldn't find my order, I went back to asked her my order sheet back, she didn't explain to me anything and just walked away from me to the warehouse. She was so rude and that wasn't the worst of her. 10 minutes later she came out from the warehouse and walked towards me, I thought she was going to say something. No, she was just looking at the item numbers, the items were on my trunk, and I was standing in front of it, she looked pass me to the items without having eye contact nor say a word to me, then just went back and disappeared to the warehouse again! So unapologetic and rude after she made me wait for 30 minutes and forget about my order. If she or anyone just say something like: "we are looking for your order, give us a few more minutes, we'll be back with your order", I would not be so upset. I arrived around 2:20pm and left at 3:40pm. No one said anything, no one apologized for making me wait for over an hour for picking up items that I ordered a week ago. Not a word from that red hair, not a word from a store manager that I filed complaint with after the staff and that red hair disappeared at the warehouse, and other guys wouldn't help me either. read more

The store is very easy to find and conveniently located off NJ turnpike. The place is enormous, very neat and well lite. I found it difficult to locate the specific tile design I was interested in seeing. They are displayed according to type but finding the particular one is exhausting. I'm writing this review because if it wasn't for one employee who went above and beyond to help me, I would be returning everything, wrong merchandise ordered, wrong items purchased and etc. She resolved all my concerns and she really did justice to this store. I can't say enough about Tara's customer service and her devotion to her job. Thanks to Tara, I will give Floor & Decor 5 stars, but if it wasn't for her responsible and concerned nature, the store would score 1 star. Great place around to get what you need for your floors and bathrooms. I visited other stores before, but was not really able to find someone to help me and guide me. Then I visited Floor and Decor in Elizabeth, and for my surprise, Not only they have a great selection of tiles, but they also have friendly and helpful staff that are always ready to assist. On my first trip there we were luck to have Simone (General manager) to assist us. She was so attentive to my needs and was able to guid me in the right direction. She walked all over the building with us to make sure we got what we needed. Not only the General Manager is friendly and helpful but also all of her staff. They walk around offering their assistance and brings everything into your car. I just went back there a 2 Nd time for my other bathroom and again I had a great experience, thankfully bc of the great staff that works at this location. Highly recommend this place. read more

Glad I found this place by accident as it was next to Ikea. It's like a big box store with its large selection but it has the customer service of a mom-and-pop. I was greeted when I entered and walked around just getting used to the layout. They have all types of flooring, tile, construction materials, tools, and bathroom furniture. I was helped at several points, but the people aren't pushy either. Someone saw me reading the directions for some self-level cement and he said he would print me the directions, which was an incredible help. At the register, they do get your information but they say that is so they can keep a history of all of your purchases so if you need additional amounts of something you purchased months or years back, they will have it on file, or if you need to make returns. Finally, on the way out, they offered to help me load the items. I declined the service and ended up straining my back loading my car. I'm an idiot. But, this is a top-notch place. read more
