I'm a disabled vet with mobility impairments so shopping can be very stressful and challenging. Natasha & Ivette took initiative to offer assistance and truly made it a pleasant experience. Sylvie helped my husband and I with our recent large tile purchase. We ordered three different tiles for different projects, and she made sure we got all of our materials in an organized and timely manner. There were some complications with some of the tiles and Sylvie kept track of everything. Grace was also very helpful to us during an another visit to Floor and Decor. She gave us advice on what types of materials to use (e.g. tile vs vinyl) and made us feel good about our design choices when others were discouraging us (dark gray/black tile walls and white floor in bathroom). After waiting 6 weeks for our order I received a notification that it was ready for pickup. After an hour drive, we arrived at the store and after waiting over an hour, 2 boxes were found (Order was for 7 boxes). After another hour I was told to check inside and use what was in stock to complete my order. the inventory in the aisle consisted of 1 tile and 2 shattered tiles. terrible, terrible experience. And based on the waiting/loading area we were one of many customers with a similar experience. read more

I met with one of the design consultants, Maria Ortiz, to select a tile scheme for my bathroom. My initial thoughts were overruled as being impractical - too much grout on the floor to keep clean. She quickly pivoted to my style and in one hour we were loading my car up with the new scheme - gout and edges included. Maria is wonderful and very funny! read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. High school kids in charge of the store . Purchased tiles that were loose along with a full box. This was all they had . I asked if it would be a problem to return due to the condition. Was told it was no problem. It was not enough tile to cover the area. When I went to return exactly what I bought ; it was a big problem. TERRIBLE SERVICE; It's a self service store. There are items on display that are out of stock. Price is average. They are not giving anything away . Customer service not good . There are independent tile stores all over ny and nj . Same tile , same price KNOWLEDGEABLE SALESPEOPLE THAT ARE POLITE. My family is doing construction on their new house Florida. We live in NJ and can't travel to FL right now due to COVID-19. Dicknery helped us to not only style our entire house, but also got in contact with various locations in Florida to ensure a seamless process with our contractor. She was patient and spent at least 3 hours with us running around the store, calling different locations to check our choices were in stock in FL, and placing our final order for the contractor to pick up. Unfortunately floor and decor was a disappointment during a recent visit to return tile purchased past 90 days. They wouldn't accept the item because they discontinued it. The return for "merchandise credit" was "at the managers discretion", had a courtesy been granted they would have made a profit with our new purchase & kept a customer. We've used this store for many projects in the past but their policies will unfortunately force us to shop elsewhere for the next project. read more

Three weeks into my paid order and NOTHING!!!! My contractor has moved on because I can't give him any sort of time frame. Awesome shopping experience at floor and decor in Elizabeth NJ! Even with obsessive HGTV viewing, walking into a store the size of floor and decor, with what felt like an infinite amount of choices for tile and grout, for a multi room project was making my head spin.. Luckily ,I was very fortunate to work with a truly wonderful design professional named Sylvie!! Thanks to her experience and keen eye for detail , I'm confident I will be very happy with my choices...also want to give a shout out to the store manager Simone, who along with Sylvie managed to track down the last 2 remaining pallets of a discontinued flooring ( in a warehouse in Savanah GA) that I very much needed to complete my reno project ..it took quite a long time to pull that off but they got it done for me and I am truly grateful...their kindness and professionalism was greatly appreciated!! read more

Placed an online order when the website showed every items were in stock. Three days later only 36 out of 486 items were ready to pick up. Contacted the live agent for numerous times only standard replies but no actual progress at all from the Elizabeth store. The next day my contractor went to the store for partial pickup, and the items shown as 'ready for pickup' were not there at all and he waited more than an hour for the staff to get the items on site. Besides the staff keep saying an item we wanted to buy is not available (again it shows on stock online), and not willing to help, finally my contractor found it by himself in the store. Canceled all of the rest of my orders and bought substitutes in Lowes. Will never deal with Elizabeth store again. read more

If I could give zero stars for this company, and the Elizabeth store in particular, I would. This location is known by corporate and other stores to be a disaster zone. Two weeks ago I drove two hours to buy in-stock countertops - I saw the countertops I wanted but they said we could not load them because no one in the warehouse was trained. I could understand if it was end of day but this was about 4pm. I couldn't go back so bought them instore, reluctantly paid $200 extra for delivery, was told they would arrive at my home in two days. They didn't arrive. We called the store for DAYS and no one picked up. So, we took three hours out of work day to go BACK to Elizabeth, and apparently they had "forgotten" to process the order. They promised the countertops would be picked up the next day, a Friday, and delivered to us on Monday. A tracking number was created but apparently there was no pickup. Called the trucking company on Monday morning and they told me my order did not exist. When I finally got through to Elizabeth, they said... we don't ship countertops, you can't just ship countertops. I spent two hours on hold and then talking to a helpful guy in corporate Customer Care. Stock is low around the company obviously and the closest replacement was several hundred dollars more expensive. I thought they would offer a discount, because of all my wasted time (they held up thousands of dollars of work just because I tried to save a few hundred dollars on the countertop) but no. They would not ship a replacement or give a goodwill gesture discount on comparable countertops that were in stock closer to me. My only option was to drive back to Elizabeth where *maybe* I could load up the product I had already paid for! So I spent hours on hold, hours driving there and back, and now they have a thousand bucks of my money, this cost my contractors time and money and now I have to drive to Elizabeth for my refund because they won't process a refund over the phone. Prices look good online, but you can't buy in-person and you can't get it shipped. Don't waste your time and money at this business! Bronx cheers for the corporate "Customer Care" management team who apparently knew last week that those countertops were NEVER getting shipped and never told me. I'm getting my credit card to cancel the payment because they charged me for something they were never going to be able to fulfil. read more

My experience with the Elizabeth, NJ Floor and Decor has been one of the worst experiences I have had with customer service. I have been trying to get an answer on my delivery and keep getting hung up on. I get other numbers to call and the same thing happens. I have been told by other employees at other stores that this is unfortunately the process this store follows....hanging up on customers and even colleagues from other stores when checking in on timing and status of order delivery. The toll free customer service number is unfortunately no better as they are unable to do anything without getting in touch with the store. Guess what! They also can't get in touch with the store. It is mind boggling that a manager if this store would allow this type of behavior, particularly at the level where it is known by other stores that this is how the Elizabeth store operates. There is no easy recourse and I can't even cancel my order as the customer service line can't even do that without speaking to the store. How do I do that when no one answers or they always hang up on me? I am so disappointed in this place. read more

First I would like to send my congratulations to Gary on his new baby. Now I will get to our story. My husband and I went here to get flooring for our kitchen and livingroom. We went with an idea of what we wanted but it was not available in the store. Gary took the time to walk us around the store and provide options that hit the mark on our design plan. He made it easy to shop and was super informative. (You can see he likes what he does and takes pride in his job) At checkout we hit a glitch with the over the phone support but the manager Simone did a fantastic job troubleshooting. Absolute worst service!! Didn't give me half my order, never told me they didn't have it all in stock. Never told me they put a transfer from another store until I came back to the store looking for my boxes. Manager could care less, then someone told me she said she already clocked out! If I could give less than one store that's what I'd give. We did one purchase and installation from floor and decor and had installed through installation made easy. Did they re-purchase the floor the guy helping us select the floor and load it into our vehicle number one there's not really customer friendly And two as he will loading it onto the quiet his quote was remember you need to take care of me. I guess that meant I had a tip him on the way out yet but getting shaking down at the door it's not the way to work a business. Installation made easy Really rips off the customer by the markups that they're putting on the product for the installation I got a quote of over $1100. to install laminate flooring in a space 8 x 13. The in-store contractors making money on it insulation made easy is making money on it and the only one that's on the loss is your wallet in you for the money that you need to pay out. Buyers beware on what you buy at floor and decor and the contractors you get because you're overpaying for what they're doing. read more

Grace Guddemi is the designer that we have worked and she is amazing. She is the reason my rating is a 4 not a 1. When we showed up for our first appointment, our original designer was late and rude. Grace stepped in, apologized for her coworkers behavior and got right to work with us on our 4 bathrooms. If she hadn't done that we would have walked right the door. Grace quickly picked up on our style and knew where to find it in the store which was so helpful. She is a true professional and I can't wait to work with her on our kitchen backsplash! Where you can improve is hire more people like Grace or better yet, promote her so SHE can hire more people like her. During one visit a man came up to her and asked where the designer "with the crazy hair was". That man was a manager. That man should be fired for talking about an employee's appearance that way. Please don't tell me good help is hard to find. Your employees and your customers deserve better than that! read more

Literally this place is a joke and it deserves 0 stars. Ordered my floor that was in stock to be delivered to my home a month ago, and after 2 weeks I started to get concerned why I haven't heard anything. After multiple attempts of calling and getting no response or being put on hold for over an hour, I finally got in touch with somebody. I even emailed a manager, and obviously got no response as well. Each time I spoke to somebody I was told the package would be shipped out in just a day or two. 2 weeks later now and still no floor, so I am finally going to cancel my order and get my floor from somewhere more reliable. They make up excuses as to why your order didn't arrive, try to lie and say it will show up in a day, then you call a week later and it's the same song and dance. Not worth it!!! Save the headache and go elsewhere. read more
