A store is only as good as management and employees. If not for Mike Dorr I would give one star. He straightened out a mess that other managers created. On a 2000 sq. feet of tiles we were given 4 different lots and the manager assured us they all matched. They did not. After 5 days of phone calls and talking to a second manager I had enough and wanted to cancel the order and let them pick up their tiles. I was shuffled to Mike Dorr who immediately took charge and straightened everything out. Why can't all managers be like that! Yeah for Mike and Boo for the other two. read more

I can't speak as a customer because these folks lost my business during the first phone call. The woman who answered the call was abrupt and unwilling to have any conversation at all about what I was looking for. I was looking for repair work on a tile floor and have not been able to find anyone who does that. She referred me to an "887" number which she said had "a list of local contractors"; there I was told (only a little less rudely ) that they don't provide repairs or referrals and that no sich list exists. It would have been so simple for the first woman to have said "I am sorry, we don't do repairs" and not wasted my time. read more

My husband and I got all of our flooring from Floor and Decor Outlet. They have the best prices around and trust me we shopped around about 15 different flooring places and they were by far the best quality for your dollar. There are hundreds of different choices of laminate, hardwood, tile, travertine and granite plus all kinds of backsplash and remodeling material and padding for underneath laminate and hardwood. The staff is really knowledgeable and they didn't hover when we were trying to decide what we wanted. Only downside is that is IS an outlet, so if for some reason you didn't buy enough material there is no promise that the flooring you bought will be there the next day, so make sure you buy some extra just in case!!!!!!! read more

Way better than any other place I've been around Clearwater. Their prices majorly beat Home Depot's and the staff there know damn near everything it seems. They also carry damn near everything. I bought laminated wood at this stored. I returned 5 boxes but only three accepted. According to the manager I suppose to open 53 boxes to ensure no defects and breakage before I left the store. His associate broke down the pallet and put the boxes in my vehicle, I never heard of this kind of policy. The boards that he would no accept were broken, chip ones that were marked. Customer service unsatisfactory. I called corporate office two times to complain. Two emails were sent to the regional manager two days ago he never called me. I never has a problem with Lowes or Home Depot with a returned. Lastly not a good place to do business. read more

Be very careful when working with this store on projects. We have remodeled multiple homes and have had issues like tile showing up from different dye lots (and don't match), orders with 2 pallets of tile and one is the wrong product, we had a whole house worth of tile delivered and installed by our contractor and went to the house and found out they shipped us the wrong tile for the whole house. We now have to scrutinize each order to make sure it is right. In addition, they won't sell over the phone from the store even to a frequent business customer so when I need to place an order they want me to do it on the web site. The problem with this is that you place and order online it says it will be ready in 2 hours and 3-5 days later it isn't ready and you have to call the store and customer service to get information which they usually can't provide such as 'when will my tile that is in stock be ready so I can finish the job'. There is no accountability when orders are wrong or not ready there is no one person you can count on, you have to call the 800 number for help. Not good service. The only thing this place has going for it is the larger selection, price and that they keep the same product lines in stock for while instead of changing them every 6 months like Home Depot and Lowes do. read more

Check prices some higher and some lower then other stores. Tile is there on day gone the next so be sure to buy as much as you need. They only ship from other Florida stores so if you like something online don't think you can have it shipped for free. It takes forever for someone to help you seems like they avoid you. We needed bathroom tile so we went here as our tile guy said he likes this place. We originally purchased marble for the shower walls and were going to pick up the next day. When we got home, we noticed the numbers were wrong and they they charged us for the wrong item. Then after reading about the maintenance of marble, we decided we'd just have them switch it out for porcelain tile anyway. So we went back the next week, told them to cancel that order and picked out the porcelain instead. We go to pick it up, they gave us all the WRONG stuff. They never cancelled out the first order and gave us all marble, and the marble that was supposed to be on the top didn't even match the marble on the bottom! Now we have to go back again for a THIRD time! WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! read more

I'm leaving this review to compliment Robert, a manager at Floor & Decor who was a real relief after trying to deal with Home Depot and Lowe's. We had contractors waiting and had already wasted so much time at those more local stores i was no longer in much of a good mood. But Robert fixed us up with 70 sq ft of basic but beautiful 2x2" immediately. After purchasing, their loading process was so long and involved that I'm hesitating whether to knock off another star, but Robert made such a positive impression that we decided to buy the rest of our tile there too. And that went well. Recommend their amazing selection over Home Depot and Lowe's any day. read more

Sadly, I was most disappointed with my transaction and service from Floor Décor in St. Petersburg Florida this past month. We spent over $4,000. for marble tiles and supplies to put into our house. The person we dealt with seemed very friendly and helpful. But after purchasing the tiles trouble started. We ordered 288 tiles. Set up delivery. Upon delivery we found that 20% of the tiles were the wrong ones. After calling the store to try and correct it, they did not have the stock and I was not getting a resolution on the remaining tiles needed to complete the project we were doing. We hired a floor tile person and even scheduled them to come and do the job. After calling the store many times I was not getting a solution from the representative who sold us the tiles and materials. As a note, there were also problems getting our materials put together for the order. The person we were dealing with did not put in the order and I had to chase it. So I found myself losing confidence that I was going to get everything I had ordered in a timely fashion or even when. I drove back to Floor Décor (30-40 minute drive). And had to physically make sure the order happened. I again tried to get the full tiles order worked out. Another note, when I found that the person I was dealing with was incompetent and not on top of this, I called the manager. I was sent to what they call the command center. The person I spoke to was unprofessional and seemed confused and could not find my order. She also seemed irritated and annoyed instead of being in control and willing to handle whatever problems we were going through. I had ended up calling the command center two times and finally I asked for the manager. The manager was too busy to take my call so I left a message. The manger NEVER called me back nor did a representative of the manager. I had to go back to the original sales or store rep I was working with. It took 3 trips to the store, and 20 texts and 10 plus phone calls to resolve the order, get what we ordered in time for the installers to do the job. I want to add that the rep I worked with never got angry and maintained friendly relations and that was a good thing. But I had to continually contact her and prod every day to ensure it was going to happen. It took a few weeks after the order to finally get everything we needed and the order did end up being correct. I also did end up talking to the shipping person who was much more positive and seemed much more in control of our delivery. This was honestly a somewhat painful transaction in that if I did not stay completely on top of it, they would have messed up the order several times including the materials. The tiles we bought are very nice and without having taken every tile out of the box to ensure its in good shape and the correct style we ordered, I would say the products seem good. But the experience was unprofessional, and I felt that dealing with what I felt was incompetence caused me to have to work harder and stay on top of the purchase till I got it right. It caused unnecessary stress. They should have completely verified the order before shipping it to us. That was the first big mistake. Instead they sent us 55 tiles that were the wrong ones. Additionally the sales rep said that the store was short personnel and had trouble hiring. That made no sense. In these times it seems that there would be many qualified good people needing work or at least they could take the time to train people properly. It was obvious to me that the sales rep was either improperly trained or not qualified to handle our translation properly. This is horrible Public Relations for the store. Quality of service to me is vital to the prosperity of any company. I recommend that Senior management of Floor Décor seriously review your hiring & training policies & practices and upgrade them so that you deliver 5 star service. What I just went through in the past weeks is a big phat zero. read more

Spent $100 and had everything from tools to bucket, tile to grout. Found 22 cent 6" white tiles. Exactly what I needed. Had to buy 2 cases & not one chip. I would give them -100 if I could. I originally purchased my flooring in May 2018 for $3900 and install that flooring in June of 2018 at floor and decor in Saint Pete Florida in January 2020 I purchased and installed an additional $716 of flooring to complete the kitchen and the office during the summer of 2020 we noticed the flooring starting to curl at the end we contacted and started a claim with floor and decor in December 2020 their first response was to decline the claim due to no vapor barrier being used when I spoke with them and let them know we did not use a vapor barrier or underlayment because the sales person that sold it to us said if we use the vapor barrier or underlayment it would void the warranty and one 2921 I received an email from Dominique a Henry claims an escalation specialist she stated I apologize that this was not communicated at the time of the purchase properly due to that fact I requested and was approved to provide a full reimbursement of the material purchased however they only wanted to reimburse the $716 not the $3900 when I questioned the amount they said they would have to do a floor inspection to determine a floor manufacturing issue after the floor inspection was completed now floor and decor is declining to pay due to pinch points at the baseboards door jams and transitions not allowing the floor to float I use the transition strips from floor and decor and in the pictures provided by the inspector it shows one spot at the baseboard and door jam with a pinch point 1700 ft.² of flooring was installed and it was not damaged by one pinch point the baseboards were installed after the flooring they are not pinching the floor floor and the core just keeps finding new reasons to deny this claim please do not use floor and decor ever read more

I believe I have worked with her before, and each time, I feel that she gives me her undivided attention, is personable, and very professional. I went to floor and decor because the tile I picked at a Tampa store was not in stock... In fact they didn't stock any tile. So at the last minute I was told to try floor and decor. I found tile almost immediately, it took me 20 mins to get help, but I was so glad to get Nancy as my sales lady... She is amazing with a great personality. Today was our first time at Floor & decor, clearwater. They had a very nice selection of flooring and the backsplashes we needed. The best part of the experience was a very friendly and knowledgeable employee named Colleen. She was just as concerned as I was about picking out the perfect colors. We spent about 30 minutes together and when we were done I made sure I approached one of the managers and told him what a lovely employee she was. His expression was priceless. Good thing you have product because your help is terrible. This is my second review of the same store. TRAIN YOUR HELP! Your customer service sucks! This time was not as bad as last time, but when a contractor comes in the store and asks for help with the signage and the help who was walking right behind you suddenly turns around and walks back to the register to talk with the girls, instead of giving his assistance, than your training sucks. When I returned to the register to purchase the sample, the gentleman had nothing to say about why he offered no assistance. Keep it up. There are plenty of contractors in Pinellas County. Who care if you lose a few hundred. You have some young girls at the front counter who act like if they smile or talk to anybody, they will turn into a pillar of salt. read more

We were checking out some tile this evening (3/16/17) at the Clearwater store. The cashier was Quinonice. She asked for my phone number and I said try this one (we have bought there many times in the past and I wasn't sure which number was used for our stored information). She entered it, rang up the sale and gave us the amount. I asked if that number brought up our info and she said "no" but was going to enter it. I said try this one. She was clearly exasperated and re-entered it. Her attitude was showing!! This time our information came up. After the sale, she grabbed our receipt and said "here you go" and turned away as she called the next customer. I stayed right there and said "excuse me". She turned to face me and I said "I'm waiting for a thank you". She replied "WHY WOULD I THANK YOU?" Wow...Really!!! I said because I'm the customer. She picked up her stuff repeated "I would never thank a customer. Why would I thank a customer" several time as she walked away into the employee lounge. Hopefully she was quitting and would never face a customer again. I went to the service desk and asked for the cashier manager or store manager. Good luck on that one. After several pages over their walkie-talkies, Chris showed up and I explained what happened to him. He explained that she was one of his better cashiers and couldn't understand why she would act that way. Clearly he was just patronizing us to get us out of the store. It's late Friday evening and I will report their conduct to the corporate office at my earliest convenience. read more

The associates have been approachable and willing to answer my questions, both in the store and on the phone. I don't have a set time or day when I go to this store, seems the times that I'm there, Anna is working the Check-Out /Return counter, which is an easy choice of which counter I line up in. Absolutely terrible, unfortunately my clients choose from there. Something I am trying to prevent for the future. I pick up all of my floor coverings, and not one time has the back loading area been on time. It is seriously disorganized. I ordered whispermat hw online knowing they had to ship it in from Miami. The called me two days later to say it was in, it was not the right whispermat. They told me it will be a week. That's what I was told for three weeks.... I was trying to get a penthouse finished on the beach and was getting close to my deadline and called the corporate office. They told me the order showed it delivered and completed and would have to start a new order, it would be ten more days until it arrived because it was not in the system. I ended up driving to Miami that day to pick up the material. 9 hr drive and not even a "I'm sorry" corporate said, "we'll send you a gift card for your trouble" never came. I order two pallets of items last Wednesday that are in stock and told me on phone. Might be ready Thursday, Friday maybe even Saturday I'm not sure. It states on there website if you order by 2 same day pick up. Not only is that not true, they don't even care. Picking out what you want, loading a cart and walking out front door is probably the only solution for this place. Contractors with large orders, beware. read more

After driving an hour and a half to collect $500 (as directed by staff) I was overcharged by mistake, I was told it was credited to my account and will reflect within 5 days. 5 days later, the money was not there. I called the store and was told it was credited to gift cards. Gift cards?!?!? And if I wanted it back in my checking account, I would have to wait up to another 7 days. Absolutely insane! 8 days and multiple lies later, I am on the verge of taking legal action! read more

F&D's customer service in the Tampa area has been down right bad! I had an issue with Dale Mabry store and my order was transferred to the Clearwater store. Took 20 minutes to get help as to where their warehouse is located in the store and how to get there with my truck. I finally get my order after about 35 mins of being there & upon taking the boxes off the truck hear a not so familiar sound. Open up the various boxes and have 2 full boxes of broken tile. The person who filled the order had to know these boxes were broken when he loaded them. I say this because I was told they were pulling the order off the floor. This was a 2nd trip so the order wasn't a full or even a half pallet. Called the store, was on hold for 20 mins before being told a manager was busy and would call me back in 15 mins. 2 hours later I called back and was passed from person to person for a total of 56 mins on the phone with them. UGH!!! Never again F&D!!!! read more
