Had a great experience at Dr. Cho's office. I am a novice to glasses and eye exams. Dr Cho was very patient in answering all my rookie questions and did a thorough job doing the exam. It really gave me confidence that my prescription would be correct. It is a lot of pressure to try to give the right answer to, "lense 1 or lense 2?" Dr. Cho double and triple checked to make sure all was right. Her staff was also very nice and helped me choose the right frame from their vast selection. I visited with my Fiance and we did our eye exams together. Our visit was astounding from the moment we walked in the door. I believe we worked with Justine who got us started and prepped us for our appointment. The new patient paperwork was completed online with ease, and when we walked in I filled out nothing. This is a 21st century office and it was awesome. Once Justine finished with the pre-appointment exam, Dr Wong came in. Dr Wong was a really cool guy, very personable. He didn't just get in there, do the job and get out, he took the time to really understand our needs and explain everything to us. I have been going to Lenscrafters for most of my life since it was covered by my insurance. My insurance changed, so I had to find a new Optometrist. I was recommended here by a friend and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. The approach was consultative and included follow up visits to verify that the prescription was a good fit. Although, Dr. Cho was on maternity leave, I was seen by Dr. Justin Wong, who applied the type of care that is hard to find in this day and age. Very happy with my experience at Dr. Cho's and love my new frames! I found Dr. Cho through Yelp and like other reviewers have mentioned, I too was a bit skeptical at the number of positive reviews. 8 years ago the last optometrist said my eyes were fine and that I didn't need to come back until my vision changed. In hindsight (har har), that was poor advice because it's difficult to notice subtle changes over time. I figured it was time regardless and made the appointment. An optometry intern conducted the first part of my exam which was reading the letters on the wall. Dr. Cho checked her work and took over the rest of the exam. She seems like a good teacher, I appreciate when doctors instruct interns in a way that explains what they're doing and why, without alienating the patient. It turned out that I now need glasses for computer use and nighttime driving. She also found a small scar in my eye and noted the size and location to keep an eye on (geez these puns keep coming) for future visits. They have a good selection of brand name frames, and despite my indecision/pickiness/fickleness I really really like the pair I purchased. I couldn't find a backup pair I liked and they didn't hesitate to write down my prescription. The staff is so friendly and stars warranted for their follow through. First to confirm my out of pocket cost before ordering the frames, and after I received them to ensure they were a good fit. They share a suite with a medical spa that I also go to and always ask how my eyes and I am doing. A tip for picking frames: Wait if your eyes are dilated. There are often 5-star rated places that are all built on hype, or the small business owner has a paid Yelp account and has manually filtered what reviews make it onto the front. Before coming, I even took a peek at the filtered reviews, and was pleasantly surprised to find that those were all 5-star reviews as well. I think one very important thing to note is that I was never once pressured to make any purchases from her store. I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam, and got an eye exam. Every other optometrist I have gone to, has never so freely just given me my prescription. I was surprised I wasn't offered to purchase contact lenses from them, so I had to go out of my way to ask. I've been going to this wonderful place for the last 5 years and am extremely happy with each of the doctors and their assistants. This year, due to the pandemic shutdown in May, I couldn't see the optometrist to get my contact lens prescription. I emailed and asked for an extension until the office is allowed to open again. Within 24 hours, I received it. I was able to order my contact lens. Once the office opens, I went in and saw Dr. Chiu and she was polite, knowledgeable and very accommodating. She offered options and won't try to sell you stuff like the doctor I used to see (no pun intended hahaha). I just loved everything and everyone at this place. I needed to find another eye doctor as my vision plan had changed and no longer covered the current optometry group I have been with for many years. I was just about to call to make an appointment with a different optometry group when my coworker noticed what I was doing. As I was starting to dial, she asked if I was looking for another eye doctor. She jumped into Yelp! and found several for me to consider. Two of them were too far and out of the way from my normal travel. Another one looked pretty favorable, but I did not care for their hours. Lo and behold, I find Dr. Cho - close to home, great reviews and with great hours! Hmmm... worth a try! It was a rocky start at first. I excitedly called to make my appointment based on all the excellent reviews. I was on hold for about five minutes before finally hanging up and calling back. The gal unintentionally forgot about me and apologized up and down. I was a little miffed, but it happens, as I am guilty of having done that myself. I made sure my insurance was valid prior to making my appointment. Fast forward two weeks to two hours right before my appointment on a Saturday. I get a call from their office informing me that my benefits are not valid. Errrrrr!!! Long story short, the very well known insurance provider screwed up. (How they remain in business, I will never know!) After sorting everything out the following week, Justine from Dr. Cho's office contacted me to let me know that my benefits were valid again. She even apologized for all the trouble even though it was not their fault. I rescheduled my appointment and finally made it. Yay! The office was clean and bright and everyone was super friendly! Justine, Jessica and Thui were awesome! They explained everything and made sure I was doing okay throughout my entire visit. Dr. Cho is very lucky to have such an excellent staff! As for Dr. Cho, I have never had such a thorough eye examination before! She took her time with her assessment and was very patient. She explained everything she was doing. She was awesome, too! Thanks to my coworker, I have found an optometrist for life! They are fully aware that you have the choice to go to another office. They are so great at what they do; you won't want to go anywhere else! The location may be a bit challenging to find for some, but I assure you that it'll be totally worth it. Love Dr. Cho and the staff at For Eyes Optometry! I came here for the pre- and post op for Lasik. I had a lot of dryness and some blurred vision after my Lasik and Dr. Cho was really thorough. She always took time during my visits. I never felt rushed, and I felt like I was able to ask questions. Also, I like that she was honest. There were a couple of times when she didn't have answers to my questions. She said she would ask NVISION (my lasik place) for answers and get back to me. And she did. Their customer service is excellent. During one of my pre-op visits, they forgot to dilate my eyes. I had just gotten home from my visit when they called saying I had to come back. I had to drive back to Irvine from Orange. I didn't really mind since I'm of the mindset that everyone makes mistakes now and then, but my husband was pretty annoyed. (He demands excellence! Lol.) When I got back to the office, they had a Starbuck gift card for me and they apologized repeatedly. Also, it was Dr. Cho that came out and handed me the gift card saying sorry. I think it's those little things that show that they care about their patients. If the practice owner makes that concerted effort, it's going to trickle down to the rest of the support staff. At my last post-op visit, they were giving out Nothing But Bundt cakes to their repeat clients. I think it was around Thanksgiving season. Needless to say, I was really touched. I work at a veterinary marketing agency and deal with a lot of animal healthcare practices. It's nice to see that level of thought and appreciation in a healthcare practice - even if it's for 2-legged patients. =) read more

Dr. Hannah Cho & her team were extremely friendly and very professional. My husband was lucky enough to find her on the internet or it might have been here on yelp and so we went in for our very first eye and vision exam. We were kind-of nervous at first but Dr. Cho and her team were very informative and helped us to understand what exactly was being done throughout the whole check-up. They made us feel very comfortable and patiently answered all of our questions. The whole process didn't even take too long and we hardly had to wait for anything at all. The location of the office is perfect and not hard to find. They have plenty of parking spaces and it's super clean inside. Jessica called and followed up with me to ensure that I had my paperwork completed prior to my appointment, her assistant (sorry I forgot your name!) did a great job with explaining all the tests she was doing and everyone apologized a bunch of times for the wait (which honestly wasn't even much of wait at all). I used yelp as a tool to find a new optometrist, and this place was great! Even though there were other patients waiting, she didn't bother rushing through me to finish, because her focus was on making sure I had the right prescriptions. I'm use to having the doctor hand me a random pair of contacts and leaving , but Dr.Cho made sure what was a good fit and just did a great job with the overall contact lens fitting process. Dr.Cho really knows her stuff, and goes beyond giving typical eye exams. She observes all that there is to see to make sure your eyes are healthy and thoroughly checked. Definitely would come back. Well to be honest I've only been to one other optometrist, but Dr. Cho takes the cake hands down. She is very thorough and also very personable. I happened to pick this optometrist out just because of its convenience but it is also great service! They only opened up recently so there are still plenty of openings for an appointment. So if you're looking for a new optometrist I suggest you end your search here! The only thing is that there is a pretty narrow choice of glasses, but I was able to pick something out all the same. She won't rush you, or give off any ticks or insinuation that you're being annoying, or making her repeat, or feel like you have to apologize on some level, or make you feel like you shouldn't be asking so many questions, or make you feel like an idiot when asking about optometry stuff. Nope. That's Hannah Cho. She is totally welcoming of questions, and you will feel like you're being treated as a VIP. The fact that she will explain the examination as she's doing each step, while not slowing down the process or making the customer feel bad just shows how she really understands the process from the patient's point of view and how dedicated she is to quality and care. I had an eye exam from another place, but she took the care to examine me again to make sure, as a service. We talked about my previous glasses, which I didn't have the documentation for, and even did some reverse engineering to figure out the prescription of those. When we ordered the glasses, the nose bridge and legs were lopsided, and she even spent time adjusting them out, which can be a very long and frustrating thing to try to fix. Seriously, she will do whatever it takes for you and do will do it with a smile, and without nickel and diming you. She's very understanding, straightforward, and pleasant. You'll walk out and look at the experience as extremely smooth and pleasant. She will answer any lingering question or concern you have to the fullest. So happy with my exam with Dr. Cho! She's very thorough, accommodating and will answer any and all questions no matter how ridiculous you think they might be. I ordered glasses before at Warbyparker and they had to go back because my prescription was missing some of the measurements and as a result my vision was distorted. My previous optometrist refused to provide the extra measurements. Very frustrating! Dr. Cho even offered to order any frames I found online if I couldn't find anything I liked in their store. Dr Cho is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and through. I was finally able to wear contacts for my long-hour-in-front-of-computer workdays! And this is after seeing different optometrists without sucess for 2 years. Thanks to Dr. Cho! Unfortunately the management of trial records is pretty chaotic. There seemed a problem to identify which trials I was referring to - I was not asked to remember all the prescription data I tried on. And since they told me to throw away the trial packages when I put a pair on in the office, I would expect the office to record the prescription data. This almost led to a failure of the fitting. And it wasted time. I would still recommend Dr Cho, but be sure to keep the record of every trial you put on. read more

Everyone here is so friendly and very accommodating. They really explain to you what the process is and why they are doing a certain test or procedure. They explain the results very well and make sure you understand whats going on with your eyes. The doctor also gives you tips on how to maintain and take care of your eyes. they also tell you what is and what isn't covered by your insurance so you at least have an idea on what you have to pay out of pocket. I had no idea what my insurance is and they explained very well what my plan covers. Very very good service here! read more

I had a great experience here. Dr. Cho and her staff are awesome. I was interested in trying contacts for the first time in my life and thought it would be a difficult learning curve. Dr. Cho was super patient and helpful during the fittings. I had 2 or 3 follow up appointments with her while trying different trial contact lenses since mine were multi focal and trying to achieve both distant and near was a process. I really liked that I could call and come in usually the same day and discuss the trial lenses. I also appreciated what Dr. Cho DID NOT do. I happen to have really good insurance vision coverage. My last Dr. went through the entire exam and when it concluded he noticed my coverage at which point he immediately asked about my other family members on the plan and when I could bring them in and how much I could spend on frames. I went from a patient to a dollar sign. With Dr. Cho it never came up, not once. I was always a patient first. read more

I've been a regular at For Eyes Optometry for a few years now, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised by how the service continues exceed my expectations every time I visit. Upon arrival, Meaghan, the office manager, offered me water and proceeded to quickly and smoothly take me through the routine pre-optometrist exams. (I even got retinal images!) After Meagan took down all the necessary measurements, I got to meet Dr. Wong. Dr. Wong had just started at For Eyes Optometry since my last visit, and I was happy I had an appointment with him. He was kind and attentive. He answered all my questions regarding the changes in my vision since my last visit and how to minimize eyestrain. I went to Dr.Cho's because I found it convenient in terms of office hours and location (open on Saturday). Plus the reviews on Yelp were good. I was not disappointed at all, I easily got an appointment over the phone on the same day and all the staff were very professional, active, friendly and helpful. I had a regular eye exam (costs 99$) and I noticed they did more tests than other places i have been to. Some people might choose to pay less for a more basic exam somewhere else. Better be safe than sorry though especially when it comes to health. As other people mentioned, the collection of glasses is a bit limited but it looked good (didn't buy anything). What else is there to say about an optometry?! I would definitely visit again if I am still in the area! read more

I decided to go in for the contact lens fitting, and Dr. Wong apologized for the misunderstanding as well. The whole appointment went smoothly, and everyone acted in a friendly and professional manner. I went in again for a follow-up appointment, where Dr. Wong addressed my concerns about new contacts I decided to try. I've found my new optometrist! I've never had an eye exam done before, so I felt a little nervous going in. After being recommended by a friend, I saw Dr. Carla Chiu and had a great 1st experience.
