It is like meditating in the sense that it takes practice to calm your mind even when you're in complete darkness. It was a cool experience overall and i'd do it again every few months when I need a little reset. I felt weightless! The staff are super friendly & explained everything to me. She was very patient. I love that each floating cabin has their own private room, shower etc. There's a communal area to dry your hair. They have lotion, leave-in conditioner, deodorant, robes, ear plugs, slippers etc. You literally only need to bring yourself. You don't even need a bathing suit because they encourage to go in nude. The pod had a nice calming purple-blue light & relaxing music. You can adjust the music volume but not the lighting, it's either on or off. You can leave the door open if you feel claustrophobic but I didn't feel that way. The temperature was warm (both air and water) after the first 5 minutes. When you first enter the water, you're still adjusting and it was my abdomen that was cold as it was above the surface. I'd just gently wave water over it when I got too cool for comfort. But after that initial phase, I wasn't cold at all. It was very clean inside the private rooms although I did book the first spot in the morning. Tips: Please read the instructions before you book! You can't shave within 24 hours, I'd wait an extra day more if you have sensitive skin. The salt is sooooo concentrated that all your cuts will burn. They do provide petroleum jelly as a barrier in case you do have micro cut or sensitive areas. 2) Salt water will burn your eyes. So be careful not to lift your head out of the water without closing your eyes (just in case some water trickles down your forehead). They give you a spray bottle with fresh water and a towel inside the cabin just in case this happens. It happened 3 times to me lol and it's effective. 3) Ear plugs if you don't want salt water in your ear. They were effective. I didn't get any water in. There's a vinegar rinse you spray into your ear to help rinse off the salt. 4) Relax. Be open to the experience. Be patient with yourself and your racing thoughts.

The tank is high enough for me to stand up, wide enough for me to stretch my arms out and my fingers just touch the side and a lot longer then me. Today I left the meditative music on and the light off so was in total blackness. At the end of the hour, the music changed and the lights came on to let me know my hour was up. Get out and take a shower (which is in your room), which you need because you're all slimy and crusty from the salt. They have nice shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

The spa has separate men's and women's changing rooms with showers, a hot tub and plenty of useful amenities. You can also purchase facial masks. Beyond the saunas, there are far infrared-light lounge chairs to lie on, massage chairs, a quiet lounge for reading or relaxing, a sleeping room, a gym and computer stations if you need to work. There is also a restaurant if you get hungry, as well as spa treatments available for an additional cost. Many people brought books and spent time relaxing between the different rooms. The Manifest studio is massive, and didn't have a mirror - which I prefer! It also has a beautiful view of the ROM. The high domed ceiling is a gentler experience to the more common exposed concrete and wires you see in many spaces nowadays. The reduced heat class had the right amount of heat - hot enough I was sweating, but not so much I was slipping off the mat, or felt overheated. That will of course depend if you are doing a power vinyasa flow or more static class. I did Queenie's class, which I enjoyed, but I have done her class many times before at other studios. Cymetree seems to be choosing from the Yogatree teachers (which the owners also operate) whom are always professional. You might just need to find a teacher and class that matches your vibe. The locker room has new digital locks. It also has a nice natural lotion, which is necessary for me after a hot yoga class. The front desk staff were lovely. My only suggestion would be to put a bench where the shoes are, since I can sometimes barely stand after a hot yoga class. Will be back soon!

We booked in for the Spa Day Package which included a little bit of everything. The staff was very…read morefriendly and greeted us right away. I wish they had shared the schedule with us because we didn't know the order of our services but it ended up being a fun surprise. We started with an hour long salt floatation which was very relaxing. They dim the lights and play quiet music. I think an hour was a bit long so next time I might book 30-45 minutes. They had hair caps which I wish I had seen before but it was so nice to float. They decorated the ceiling with little stars which was very cute. Next, we had the red light sauna which was relaxing and very warm. We then had a quick massage which I wish we had booked for longer. They used great pressure and it was very rejuvenating. We then had the hand and foot salt detox which was a really unique experience. I've never done that! We finished off in the salt cave which was calm and a great way to end off. Overall, it was a fantastic day. The staff is incredible and we enjoyed each step of the way. I'm excited to return but might switch around the timing of the experiences. They really put in a lot of attention and care!
