Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the space is beautiful and relaxing, and they facilitate great floats! I've only floated in the Bellevue location and had a wonderful float there. They mentioned having free parking in the parking garage, but I found a free spot on the street about a block away since I planned to take a walk after my float. I've since visited their other location, but just to check it out and not to float (I was tight on time during a business trip). The staff at their original location were very friendly as well and didn't mind at all that I was just coming in to see the place. Just finished my first float at Float Bellevue and I am so relaxed. I have floated a couple of times at Float Seattle and this place is a classy addition to the experience. It's minimalist like the Seattle location, but in a different way. Similar theme, but fits Bellevue better. The new float pods are so cool. It's all the same when you're laying in the dark, but waking in and seeing a beautiful glowing float pod is where the relaxation begins. The staff person was great, facilities are clean, the experience was top-notch. Another customer was getting out of another float room as I was getting out of mine and we agreed that this was a great float experience. I had the best float today. My best ever. I scheduled a last minute middle of the day session because I needed desperately to re-center myself and this did the trick. I did my first float this week and I am so glad I did. What a beautiful experience. It is freeing, it is cleansing and it does wonderful biological benefit for your body - look up the health effects! Friendly staff and a cool experience, but I recommend that you NEVER let them talk you into purchasing floats in advance. They expire after a year, so if your schedule prevents you from using them in time, you've just given them a wad of free money. Ask me how I know... Used a Groupon here with my cousin. Our first float experience; it's very simply. You shower first, then hop into the float chamber. You will be floating on some very salty water in pitch darkness, naked and vulnerable. They supply you with earplugs so water wont leak into your ears canals. My experience wasn't all that great mostly because of me. I couldn't relax, my shoulders and neck felt odd with no support and thoughts of people doing malicious things in the chamber wouldn't let my mind rest at ease. I hopped out, showered and just sat on the bench until my cousin finished his session. My skin did feel good afterwards though. read more

This place was such a cool experience! I came here while I was pregnant. The idea of feeling weightless while pregnant seemed like heaven... and it was! This was my first time doing a float so at first I was a bit unsure. Once I got acclimated, it was so fun. It's great place to meditate and really takes focus. A friend recommended that I give this a try and since he was very enthusiastic, I gave it a go. The facility is very minimalistic and very clean. Since part of the point that it is a quiet environment, they do ask that you are quiet in the lobby if people are in the tanks. The tanks (which to me look like some kind of spaceship pods) are pretty big. You have to shower before you get into them so you don't bring in debris or anything and they have everything you need for that. If you are going to use the earplugs (and I recommend you do), put them in BEFORE you shower or they tend to not stick in properly. Then you float, then you shower again when you're done. I know a lot of people find it very relaxing and therapeutic, but it took me a while to settle down and zone out in the tank. Maybe it would come more naturally with more floats or maybe my personality just isn't quite that relaxed, lol. Once I did zone out, the time in the tank went really fast. I do recommend turning out the light in the tank. It can be a smidge disorienting at first, but it helps with the zoning out. I've never tried floating like this before and it was interesting experience. The instructor was friendly and answered any questions before. I was okay floating for awhile, but noticed my back got sore. My arms also got tired in different positions like above the head (which was recommended). I think I would have preferred glow light, pleasant music, and a larger tank for the experience. When I spread my arms out I might bump into the edge which was distracting. I didn't like the shower being so close to the changing area and I think one of the earbuds leaked a little water in my ear. Overall it was neat to try it out, but I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

I really looked forward to my float session with a friend. But unfortunately the hot water heater was broken and I had to take a cold shower afterwards, with freezing water, in the middle of winter to wash off the salt. I wish someone had the foresight to call me to reschedule before my appointment. They offered a free make-up session but I don't think I will go back. My session also ended 10 minutes too soon. My friend enjoyed it but said she was cold most of the time. At least she had a hot shower. read more

I tried it a few times and found that floating helps with my lingering injury issues. Once I was comfortable with floating, I signed up for a membership, which was a painless process. DRINK LOTS OF WATER BEFORE AND AFTER YOUR FLOAT!! This is very important and was not explained to me at my visit. Salt water is detoxifying and the body needs to be rehydrated. The facility was clean and peaceful. The staff, while friendly and accommodating, just wasn't thorough. The day I went the hot water wasn't running so the shower was cold. I could have rescheduled if I had been called before arriving. But I decided to go ahead because it was my first time. They graciously gave me a free float coupon to make up for it, but I had to ask for it. The float experience itself was amazing and I look forward to my next one. read more

This place is amazing! I had never done a float before but have heard a lot about them. So I bought a package deal special right after Thanksgiving for 3 floats. I figured I couldn't go too wrong. And I was definitely correct!!! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They explained everything in a very kind, patient manner. I was thankful to hear that you can keep your light on in the pod or in the room if needed. Just made me feel better since it was my first time! But within about 2 minutes of being in the pod I turned off the light and really enjoyed the experience! It's a completely safe and wonderfully relaxing hour. I have since been back twice and even bought another package of 3 floats. For me, it is not only about the relaxation and "letting go" but for the high amounts of magnesium from the salts. I feel less pain after my sessions and of course experience a calm mind and body. The combination is so important for me since I am working with chronic Lyme Disease as well as a recent toxic gas exposure. Online scheduling is very easy, which I also appreciate! read more

I've floated at the Seattle location a couple times and tried the new Bellevue location this week. The space is nice, clean, and welcoming. Staff walked me through what to do/expect and answered my questions before and after. I easily found free (2-hour) parking on the street about a block away. I like floating more every time I do it. I really like floating and have tried several locations. Float Bellevue is my favorite so far but I have had a bad experience. Their website is very confusing whe it comes to scheduling.They have a Bellevue and a Seattle location and I am on the eastside so I would never want to use Seattle. The URL I use is floatbellevue.com and still for some reason my last booking ended up with Seattle. I didn't realize it until I showed up in bellevue and was told: "You might be floating in Seattle". I was told that my only choice was to go there otherwise I would lose my session completely.It would only take a 20 minutes drive. So I rushed there had to pay bridge tolls and parking fees had a shortened session which was not relaxing at all under the circumstances. Also the location did not seem as clean as Bellevue. I would have written this off as my fault but to top this off I received a customer satisfaction survey afterwards: Thought "good at least they care" I responded with a detailed account of my unsatisfactory experience. Never got a reponse and it has been several weeks. So much for customer service. read more
