Our serve did a great job even though they were really busy with large tables. I thought the over 30 TVs was a bit much. But I guess if you want to watch them they have it covered. Even though they were busy it wasn't too loud inside. Food was decent kinds typical bar food. I got a sampler plate of appetizers. I didn't like the beer cheese at all. Everything else was good. Husband got a burger and he said I had good flavor. We got dessert to go.

Stopped in for the first time today for lunch. Ordered the double cheeseburger and was asked by the server (Justin, great server) if I had ate there before. I said no, and he said if you are real hungry go for it! I wasn't, and I'm glad I went with the single!! He was right on! The single was a big burger with a mound of great fries! Absolutely a great place. Seasoned perfect and cooked to perfection. Great staff, great food and a really good price for my lunch. Great bar area so I may be back for a burger and beer soon! Extra - the table a few down from me had a few salads and they were huge.

Great choice of burgers, garlic fries and a drink. I eat a lot of burgers so I'm kinda judgmental ( one taste like the other) right? Flipdaddy's wasn't a regular burger, it was THE burger. I had pepper jack cheese onions and pickles..basic. The burger was cooked perfectly, the bun was soft and my toppings were plentiful. One great meal! Great greet at the door, prompt service at the table and the food was delivered just as we ordered it. Server bussed our tables regularly and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. Very good service. The eatery has a little sports bar feel, lots of televisions. The crowd was laid back and very friendly. Definitely gonna stop at Flipdaddy's when I'm back in the area.

Flipdaddy's is always a solid option while in the area. The burgers are the best around. I typically order the smoked salmon, which is really good with vegetables and the baby daddy salad and it's great. They've recently added new menu items that I'm looking forward to trying. Service has always been prompt and friendly!

Flipdaddy's is a locally owned place that we tried for the first time on an evening after a tee ball game near Corydon. We arrived an hour before closing and normally I would never go in that close to closing time. We were sat right away and the place still had quite a few folks there. The decor was really cool as they had beer taps on the wall as you entered and bourbon bottles as chandeliers. Neat touch! Our server Danielle was incredibly friendly and even though she was busy, she took great care of us. Drinks never became empty and she gave us plenty of advice on the menu. We ordered the pickles as appetizer. They were excellent and I like that they did spears and coins for the pickles. We placed our order and I decided to walk on the wild side and have the PB&J burger. I've been wanting to try a burger like this for years and (upon recommendation from Danielle), I ordered it. THE best burger I've had in years!! Everyone enjoyed their food as we all got something different. They have a ton of variety in their selection of burgers but they also have other dishes and sandwiches if you're not in the burger mood. We never felt rushed while eating our dinner and the food came out perfect according to how we ordered it. Side note: they advertise the burgers being cooked medium well but you can request well done. We will be stopping at this location every time we're in the area as we love supporting local businesses that do a great job. And quality is much different than the other big chain places on that street. Thanks so much and looking forward to visiting again!

Pb&J Burger and fries

Driving past and decided to stop for a burger. Holy cow. Best burger I've had in a very long time. I had the PB&J burger and hubby had a Fighting 44 burger. Mine was slightly spicy and sufficiently gooey. Just excellent. Fries were perfectly cooked. Hubby drowned his chips in vinegar. He loved his burger, too. Service was great. Will definitely stop again. There was a very large party celebrating a birthday and we still got great service and our food came out quickly. Restaurant is clean and comfortable.

Hey batter batter burger

Service was great. When I walked in, I smelled a musty smell like smoking used to be allowed inside and the walls and floor were never cleaned. I ordered my "Hey batter batter burger and fries". Quickly seated and order taken. I ordered my burger medium and it was called out to the kitchen as if it was unusual. I heard waitresses call that out the same way for a couple other guests. "Another medium!" It was ok. Fairly dry. The whole thing was a little stiff. The fries were incredibly salty and I only ate a few. Payed and left a tip. Went to the men's restroom to wash my hands and it was horrifically disgusting and dirty. Stinky and I don't think the floor ever gets sanitized. If I had went in there before sitting down, I would have left immediately. I'm positive I won't be back or recommend.

The Bar at Flipdaddy's

Recently paid our first visit to Flipdaddy's and I really liked it! We were planning a day trip to the Indiana Caverns and wifey ran across Flipdaddy's so we thought "What the hell?" About a 45 minute drive from Louisville, Flipdaddy's is easy to find right off the expressway in Corydon. We had pre-perused the menu before we visited to we both basically knew what we were going to order when we got there. On this Saturday afternoon we were seated immediately and our server came to greet us right away. Since we had pre-shopped we went ahead and placed our orders when she took our drink orders. The restaurant was pretty busy, but not hectically. Our server was Courtney and she was great and very personable. She had a number of tables and did a great job of keeping everything under control. Flipdaddy's has a pretty laid back, welcoming atmosphere. There are a number of screens around the dining room with sporting events, but nothing obnoxiously loud or distracting. The overhead music was 80s, and I am OK with that! Dining options are a combination of booths and tables, with seating available at the bar as well. I don't know if fast food delivery is the norm for Flipdaddy's or we were just here on a good day, but we got our meals in about 10 minutes. I had the Chuck Norris. It was supposed to be spicy. It had a decent spice to it and I was hoping for more, but I'm not complaining because it was great the way it was. I opted for fries with mine and a side of mayo (why do I get weird looks when I ask for mayo with fries?). The fries were awesomely seasoned and H O T. As in, right-out-of-the-deep-fryer hot. The entire visible staff was busy and constantly in motion. From getting drink refills to taking orders to bringing food out to cleaning tables as soon as possible after it diners left, the staff was hustling. Courtney was awesome and on the spot with drink refills and stopped by to chat for a few. We were genuinely saddened when the table that was next to ours decided to NOT tip her. Not cool, dude and his son that thought she didn't deserve a tip. We were there for half of your visit and she did a great job for you. Our first trip to Flipdaddy's was great. Can't wait to visit again!

This was our waitress.

Came here with our 94 year old mother who always orders a small portion so she gets the kids menu at most places we were informed that no one over 12 can order from that menu here. Really?? It's a smaller portion of food for a smaller price not like they are being ripped off it's just rude and they don't have a seniors menu either. Waitress was extremely rude about it.

The MacDaddy- my husband and son loved it.

There were six of us and we ordered five different items - 2 opted for the country fried chicken. Every meal was full of home cooked flavors and cooked to perfection. I had the daily special of soup and salad. The salad was fresh full of crisp lettuce, bacon, cheese, vegetables and toasty croutons. The bean soup was perfect and came with a large slice of fluffy sweet cornbread. My husband said the gravy was the best he has had in recent memory and paired with the chicken and mashed potatoes, he would definitely come back for. The bbq ribs fell off the bone and my brother in law loved them. The coconut cream pie had mile high meringue and was light and coconutty with a flaky crust. The chocolate cake was deep dark and chocolaty! The blackberry cobbler was hot and delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant for food and ambiance!!

There has been a small pub below the restaurant called " Walter's Pub" . It was not open when we arrived; but it was also a great view. There is even a large scenery binocular mounted on the deck. It was a nice sunny Thursday afternoon, so you could see the river so well. We went into the restaurant and were greeted by a display with what was hand made candy, cookies and cannoli , awesome touch. We were seated by the window giving us a constant view of the winding river. We were promptly seated and asked if we'd like any beer beverages: Crystal the waitress provided the specials of the day. We settled with the fried chicken plate and the cod plate. Drink list is fairly standard normal list ( Miller Lite, Bud Light , Coors) with a few exports "Modelo". Not many in the restaurant when arrived but customers started to increase. Food took awhile but we weren't in any hurry. The restaurant was fine up with nice easy to the eye decor. You really get the feeling of an establishment that's been here for a long time taking care of customers. Food arrived and it was a nice portion, considered is a tad higher price, you get nice sized portions. Crystal was very good and nice waitress and took care of us. A small detail but I really liked it was waitress/waitress's name was on a card in a small block of wood on the table- small but nice touch. Many people don't ask or hear their servers name so it's sweet. Chicken was nice plump breast's, nice coating and so moist as I took a bite. Very , very moist and tasty. My wife had the cod sandwich; came with nice sized 2 portioned fillets. French fries with both and not bad, crispy. I had coleslaw as a side; it was very tasty if I must say! The cod was really tasty and had a nice crust to it as well. We took to go box with 1 of each piece cod and chicken home. But I was intrigued by the cannoli; so one to go. Nice place; scenic and great people and food! Stop if you get the chance! Thank you Crystal!

I selected this - and then in the special instructions sections I specified "if olives are canned black olives please leave them off". Enter the most delicious looking pizza covered in run of the mill black olives. So I returned to the checkout and questioned "what kind of olives are these". The check out clerk said "he said they were from a jar not a can" I pressed, as I've just paid $33 for a pizza. The cook came out of the kitchen to argue with me that jarred olives are not canned olives. I said, "That's a pretty ignorant thing to say." (I suppose he has never canned anything in his life.) He became highly offended and yelled "did you just call me ignorant" - to which I said "It is ignorance not to know that jarred olives are the same as canned olives." Solution options: The menu could be specific (green, kalamata, black, etc.) He could have compensated me for the incorrect pizza. He could have offered to make the pizza again. He could have been calm and apologetic at the beginning of the transaction. None of these options were on the table. It's a shame, since the pizza was delicious. But half my family cannot eat black olives. So, I wonder - do you think that a cook of a pizza joint founded on "recovery principles" that stamps bible verses all over their boxes loses their cool, and follows you out of the building - - do you think that you'd go back no matter how good the pizza was? I'm still not sure. The New Albanian Pizza and Public House is a bit of a drive from Corydon, but it's better and the servers have never one time argued with me. Evidentiary photos provided. Good luck, Fat Dough.

I love a thick crust, but because of the thickness of the crust and trying to get it cooked through, the outside ends up very burnt, and the "cheesy breadsticks" barely had any cheese, and weren't particularly tasty. When your five year old doesn't want to eat pizza, you know you've gone amiss. The concept is great, and I appreciated the thoughtfulness in pairing of ingredients, but the ratio of cheese/sauce/dough was off for me, and even as someone who likes a little carbon, it was far too burnt to enjoy. I would give it another chance, but every picture I see, the pizza looks the same, and that's a hard pass.

I have worked as a server and I know how it is and how it is supposed to be done. I feel this time I really need to say something, 3 of the 4 adults at our table have worked in the restaurant industry as servers and also line cook manager so that being said we know how it can be. My husband and I are from out of state visiting, we took our son and his family out to eat. They were NOT busy! First off, girl sits us with menus, but no silverware, ok hmm maybe the server brings them? Right out of the gate we are informed that they are out of bacon and cheesesticks. We ordered 2 orders of onion rings for appetizers, some came out cold and uncooked. My daughter in love couldn't eat her salad, we had no silverware. She sat there for 3 minutes waiting for our server to return so we could ask for some. My son finally got up and got us silverware. For my meal I just ordered 6 add on shrimp and french fries thats it (remember that)....well everyone else's food (full meals) came out their steaks were ordered medium came out medium well like really well! My husband's meat in his Philly Cheese Steak was supposed to be thin and it was really thick the Macaroni and cheese tasted old like it had been sitting all day. French fries were cold. Everyone else has their food, im getting handed frenchfries from my son , husband and grandkids lol, they felt bad for me..... 10 minutes I kid you not I sat there waiting for my 6 add on shrimp and fries, yep 10 minutes.I finally see (him) our server, so I raise my arm to ask about my food. He's carrying something, Yes maybe its mine, oh no he's walking to another table licking his fingers ( hope its not mine) ok maybe its not. Thank God! Yep! it WAS in fact my food! We ( my daughter in love and I) just watched him as he is carrying my food, lick his fingers! Like who does that? He finally brings my food to OUR table and says " I didn't forget about you." YES SIR, YOU DID!!!! 10 minutes after others got there full meals I waited. 10 minutes for my 6 well 5 little greasy add on shrimp and cold fries? Yep I only got 5 shrimp sooooo was that why he was licking his fingers? We will never know. We spent over $200.00 s on a meal and drinks in that establishment, that doesn't include what we spent in the arcade. My son said something to the manager after we paid and went outside. We are not comp my meal kind of people but Lordy, tonight should have definitely been comped. I guess now I am a complainer, on here any ways! I will never be back to Beef O'Brady's very, very bad first experience, very bad.

The space is definitely on the smaller side, which adds to the intimate feel, but I can only imagine it gets pretty tight during peak hours--especially since they don't take reservations. The menu is extensive so it took a minute for us to order. Everyone had water to drink. Our server brought us some fresh yeast rolls that were hot and tasty. We had the fried green tomatoes appetizer for the table. They were excellent served with sour cream and horseradish and ranch that we had to ask for additionally. Everyone ordered something different. Orders included: 1. Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, and cole slaw. I only tried their cole slaw which leans more to a vinegar base and I prefer a sweeter slaw. There were 4 pieces of chicken. 2. Meatloaf with mashed potato and gravy and cornbread. Cornbread was a bit dry, meatloaf was ok. 3. Mushroom and bacon smothered chicken, onion rings and cornbread. Person said the chicken was a bit dry, the mushrooms and bacon saved the dish. Onion rings were good, crispy and hot. 4. Chicken and dumplings with cornbread. Folks that tasted them said they make better at home, nothing special. 5. Rueben sandwich with corn pudding. Sandwich was just ok. Bread was too thick for my taste, beef was tender. Corn pudding was excellent, hot, creamy. Service was good, resturant quaint, street parking. The train rolling by, blowing the whistle while we ate was a nice touch, although it rattled the building. After we ate, got to go containers and paid we shopped at the adjacent and across the street shops to the resturant. That was fun. After shopping we headed back to the restaurant for coffee and dessert. Again each of us had a different dessert item which included: coconut cream pie, butterscotch pie, derby pie, chocolate sundae cake and the house specially, butter cream pie. All were pretty good. We all liked the house speciality pie, it was super sweet, creamy with a good crust. Coconut pie was a favorite as was the chocolate sundae cake. The derby pie was way too chocolatey for most of us. It is a cute little little resturant with a homey feel that will take you back in time. One of those places where you should try but then say, did that, don't necessarily need to revisit.
