I don't love huge lumps of meat covered in a sweet sticky sauce but I apparently a lot of people do, and therefore I usually end up somewhere that serves a lot of this food when going in a large group (I also think these places cater better for groups). To be honest Hudsons is one of the better American style eateries I've visited; the food is edible, the staff are pretty good and the restaurant is small enough to mean that the noise doesn't build up to levels where you may need a megaphone to speak to the person opposite you. I think if you love the type food and didn't want to spend lots of money Hudsons is probably for you.

Today, the girls at work all ordered various things, panini, baguettes, burgers, chilli con carne. Everyone way saying how good it was. They serve up quite a portion to be fair and they charge really good prices. A sausage and cheese baguette (not one of those skinny ones but proper french stick sized) was £3.50, just to give you a bench mark. They are quick on their service so there is no standing around wondering if you are going to have enough time to wharf it down. You can also sit in and eat and all the servers are good guys with a smile on their faces.
