Came here in a pinch, 3 days before Christmas, to get a pernil. Tried a couple other places first but Fligners saved the day. Their meats are top quality and reasonably priced. They'll cut or grind meats fresh for you. Customer service is always great, too. read more

This is the best meat market in this city. The people working are very nice, they make you feel like family.

Amazing local butcher, but also their prepared foods are soooo good. They've got stuffed cabbages that taste homemade -- maybe better than my grandmas? (Don't tell her!) read more

No me gusta por qué cuando voy a buscar el wic nunca puedo llevarme lo que está establecido por el wic

Not what I thought it would be! Dirty and run down! I think they might not be following some health codes!

A must see if you want an enormous meat selection. Frozen perogies were delicious! We bought the potato and cheese and the corned beef and potato. The cashier and the man at the meat counter were very welcoming and helpful. read more

Fligners is a great local family place especially for Deli, bakery and meats. Their deli always has specials on lunch meats under $5/lb. The bakery offers custom cakes, delicious breads and great pastries. And their meat section has a great variety of cuts and fair prices. Lastly, great service by all, even the cashiers are friendly and polite. read more

Local grocery store with a huge meat counter I took a few family members recently to checkout the meat counter. Everyone was surprised by the selection of the store. It has most of your everyday grocery items, larger selection of ethnic style food and the MEAT! The meat counter can be intimidating your first time in. It takes up the whole side of the store. It is best to take a look to see what you are interested in selecting first. Then grab a number ticket. When you number is called just wave your hand and they will come over to you. You will have the same person for the whole meat selection. After that take a stroll past the preface items and bakery. Always something fun to try. After checking out they even load up your car! read more

Fligners is the best meat market in the area!! They also have all kinds of goodies and groceries but my favorite thing from there is the freshly made French and Italian bread baked daily!! Good customer service! read more

We went to a catered event on a Sunday. The food was just out of this world! Dinner included penne pasta, meatballs, breaded chicken, chicken parmesan, beans, salad, fruit bowl. Fligner's once again hit it out of the park! If I ever had to cater an event, I would think no farther than Fligners. Great job for everyone involved to create a great meal for this family. read more

Best meat counter in the area. The service is fast and anything you would need you can get.

I frequently shop at Fligner's Market, but it's been a year since I made a review. Fligner's is the go to grocery store for all of your fresh meats, vast deli, ready to eat prepared foods, huge variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and the most awesome bakery!! They carry all of the condiments and spices that you need for any dish that you're planning to prepare! One of the best parts of shopping at Fligner's is the employees.... Fligner's employees are a true asset to this establishment, they're always friendly, hospitable and ready to assist you in finding whatever you're looking for! #SatisfiedCustomer read more

My wife and I usually go to the store once a month. We like the selection of meat and the helpful employees. Today, wife needed to use the restroom. Nice to have public facility for the customers. However, the sanitation standards in the lady's room needs to be up graded and monitored for cleanliness. Come to think of it, the men's room could use some TLC also, but I don't have to sit down. Maybe, a cleaning service might resolve the issue?? Would help to uphold Fligner's image. read more

Fligners catered my son's wedding, the first wedding in our family, and did a fabulous job! We have always heard from other people who have used Fligner's for weddings how great of an experience and Fligners did not disappoint. Fligners exceeded our expectations on service and food! We received many compliments from guests regarding both the food and the servers. We will definitely be using Fligners again for future weddings! read more

I have been looking for turkey wings for what seems like forever. I've been to a plethora of stores and nothing. I searched for butchers near me, and Flingers pulled up. Being that I'm not a Cleveland, Lorain, or even an Ohio native (Show Me State girl here), I had no idea what Flingers was. I popped the address in my GPS and realized that it was only like 12 minutes away. Sweet! When I walked in, a year almost fell. There's a store called Wild Woody's back home, and it looks just like this store. From the fresh fruits and veggies when you walk in to the meat in the back! I walked to the back, and to my surprise (and disappointment), I saw no turkey wings. Bummer, right? I asked a nice guy behind the counter do they ever have turkey wings, and he said, "We have some now in the back. How much do you need?" Y'all, I almost jumped up and down! I told him what I needed, and he went to the back and got them and even cut them a part so I didn't have to! I'm ever so thankful for Flingers! I'll definitely have to make it my weekly meat shop because they had some great deals on the different meats, including seafood. I also saw some specialty seasonings that I'll definitely come back for. If you're ever looking for good meats and I mean good meats, check them out. I'm glad I did. read more

For the first time ever, we decided to purchase our family's Thanksgiving meal rather than making from scratch. We chose Fligner's and it was excellent! The meal for 10 could have easily served 20. All of the turkey and fixings were packaged meticulously and the food was delicious! Highly recommend! read more

It's a nice super market! If you are in town, you should check it out, they have some unique items at times.

I've been going since 2009. I love their deli and they have the best Chicken prices. I'm an avid home canner and love buying their meats and chicken to can up to enjoy through the entire year at record low prices. Get on the mailing list because those low prices are while supplies last. I now drive from Willard just to shop there once month. Worth the trip every time! read more

Great place to go to for the meat. Have to look for the weekly sales and you won't regret it. Only bad thing is they run out of chicken sausages a lot read more

The produce is hot or miss but they have authentic Spanish items that are hard to find elsewhere and the meat counter is worth all the hype.

Got meat? Walking into Fligner's is like walking into a time machine and heading back to 1950, a time when America was just like "Leave it to Beaver." The first thing I always notice about Fligner's when I arrived is just how nice and helpful everyone is. I hate when places that have nice people borderline on being a bit stalkerish, but that is not the case at this grocery store. The cashiers, stock-boys, butchers and bakers are always kind, helpful and professional. The baggers even walk you to your car and unload your groceries! Now that's service! If you are looking for fresh-cut meats for low cost then Fligner's is definitely your place. They always have plenty of people working behind the butcher counter so the service is quick. My favorite thing about their fresh meat section is that, for twenty cents extra a pound, they will trim all of the fat of of your purchase and filet it to your liking. They always give out tips on how to filet and properly cook your own meat at home. I don't think I ever learned anything new at a grocery store until I decided to go to Fligner's. Fligner's also has a pretty decent wine selection if you are looking for a nice bottle of wine to go with your fancy dinner. Fligner's is located in the heart of downtown Lorain. Parking is in the back of the building near the entrance so don't park out front on Broadway. Check out their website for awesome coupons that they email to you. read more

The meat counter provides excellent quality meat. Prices are reasonable. I understand they provide the meat for many area restaurants.

Fligners has the best bacon hands down in Lorain. I have drove from Cleveland to Lorain in the past just to purchase some of their meats from Fligners. Their environment has never had a fowl scent. Great deli department. If your expecting quality meats and fantastic sausages, then shop here.

We chose to use Fligner's to cater our wedding. It turned out to be an excellent choice! Lori and Judy, the managers of the catering department, were helpful and responsive to my questions throughout the planning process. They were professional and friendly via email and in person. They were also flexible and accommodating. On the day of the wedding, the food was delicious! There was plenty of food for all of our guests, and the members of the catering team worked hard throughout the wedding. There were no problems with setting up or cleaning up. Fligner's is a high-quality, affordable catering service. read more

Good quality meat and fresh fish. I love their selection of meat bundles with extra savings! Produce is usually above average quality of other stores. Bakery has some tasty treats. It's my "go-to store" when I can't find a spice. The people are nice, helpful and professional. They even help load your groceries into your car. read more

You would drive right by and miss this grocery store. Small but great meat and fish selection.I also like that there is still a store that takes your groceries to your car for you!!! read more

This is a really wonderful experience. My wife had never been there so on a rainy day we decided to visit. As brand new West siders it was an adventure. Store is a bit on the small side by today's standards but we thought it was a perfect size. They seem to have a variety of specialty food items, mostly catering to the Hispanic/Latino community which I found wonderful. Meat, deli and bakery counters were awesome. We stopped to "just look" and completely destroyed our food budget for the week! We will be back. read more

You catered my mom's funeral lunch and I just wanted to let you know how great the food was and the ladies that were there were so nice and really took good care of us. We really appreciate how hard they worked. Thank you so much. read more

Once every six weeks or so I get in my little car, turn on Sirius and listen to book radio, liberal radio or old time radio shows as I head on west along the lake. This by itself is a pleasant way to pass an afternoon. Sometimes I make it to Sandusky which I will save for another review. More than likely I get to Lorain and more specifically Flignor's Market. There is a wide selection of produce but you have to know prices. Today a mango was cheaper than any where else but Vidalia onions were about twice what they sold for at Giant Eagle. As in the canned goods there is a wide array of Hispanic produce. The bakery and deli are comparable to the those of most supermarkets with two distinctions. The first is the kifle cookies. Buttery little nutty mouthfuls at only $4.99 for a heavy dozen. Secondly, prices are low. If I were buying for a large family I would come here more frequently. So far I may not have convinced very many to shop here. Add a full service butcher shop. One that runs the entire length of the store where one person patiently waits on you as you walk from the sausages to the poultry to the meats to the fish. She asks you which steak you want, if you want the whole chicken breast split, or what other particular preferences you may have. Everything is wrapped in freezer weight bags. No where at any time have I ever had such service. The clincher is that all the meat is from Ohio farmers and hand cut at Flignor's. As you smugly grin at the checkout seeing the choice meats placed in bags and the register totaling far less than expected, a very polite young man gathers your bags to carry them to your car. read more

This place is crazy awesome!!! They are really friendly. The meat is really great. They have everything. The meat counter is the length of the entire store and than some. Plus they sell chicken by the 40lb boxful! Check it out. read more

This store is nationally known in the industry as one of the largest meat service and deli counters in the states.
