Hidden gem! I have heard about this place for years and was finally in the area to stop in. This is one of those fish markets that you go out of state to find. They have fresh seafood, smoked salmon and cooked food options available. The menu is diverse and well priced. We tried a perch dinner that comes with two side and a roll. I will be back to try more! They have an outdoor covered eating area. read more

I have been hearing about Ardick Seafood for a bit so when I was out West of Cleveland I figured I would check it out. Ardick is located in Lorain near to the Black River in a older commercial neighborhood. Ardick has a smaller stand alone building painted light blue, with some covered picnic tables; the vibe is fun and nautical. Inside is a nice fish market and a hot food area at the back. The selection of fresh and smoked fish is nice, but not huge, but I came to grab a quick lunch. The menu board lists a number of dinners, sandwiches and other fried food. I ordered the jumbo perch sandwich which seemed reasonable at $10. The 2 large perch fillets were already breaded and were fried fresh then went on a bun with tarter sauce. Overall the prep was quick and well done. Relaxing out on the patio I did enjoy the sandwich; the perch fillets were perfectly cooked with a crisp crust and moist white fish inside. The highlight of the sandwich was the spicing of the breading which was a nice contrast to the mild fish complimented by the tarter sauce and fresh bun. There was nothing fancy here, but this was a very good perch sandwich. I noted that the dinners seemed a bit expensive, but they include 1/2 pound of the seafood with a choice of 2 sides and a roll and butter; there were some interesting sides including potato pancakes or cabbage and noodles. Overall Ardick was a nice spot for lunch, but I would probably not make a special trip, on the other hand if I am in the Lorain area will probably stop in again. read more

Finally had a chance to stop by and try this place out. I beat a rush by a hot minute so thankfully the wait wasn't long. They have a Lenten Menu so I ordered off of that. I got two perch sandwich combos, one without a bun, cabbage and noodles and pierogis. Everything was delicious! This is the perch I remember from being a kid. So much better than any other place I've been too locally. Perfect breading, flakey and delicious! The cabbage and noodles and pierogis were amazing as well. And prices? Great! Service was also great, staff was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back! read more

Amazing! That's all I have to say!! Good Prices, great food, and Amazing Seafood! Plus, excellent fish cutting. Love this store. So much to offer to customers. JACK OF TRADES, AND A WELL HIDDEN GEM!! TRY THEM OUT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. read more

I will say that the perch was fresh but that's where it ended. It was greasy and the breading tasted like I bit into a block of salt, coleslaw was very bland and dry, potato salad really didn't have a nice taste plus the salt and pepper packets were like so small that you would need 50 of each of them to get some taste. I had much better at Midway Oh Boys. Save your money and go to a legitimate Lake Eire fish restaurant like Jolly Rodgers or Long John Silvers, just as greasy. read more

I ordered a deep fried Turkey for Thansgiving and it was a hit only bones remained after everybody got their fill!! I will be back quality everything here read more

So I have to say the catfish sandwich is a yes..did I say yessssssssss for me. A nice size catfish fillet. Made to order fresh.. I order mine with extra tartar and add onions. Comes on a nice size hamburger bun.. for me, splash some hotsauce that baby is ready to go. I found this spot at the end of last year. Everyone I have taken there has not missed the opportunity to remind me to take them back. I've also tried the crabby pattys .. a must try with their sauce. There clam chowder and lobster bisque a must try. Fresh fish.. fresh food.. not cheap but not expensive. Im getting ready to want to go back writing this right now read more

Perch sandwich is the move! Perch and fries were perfectly done and delicious AF! Staff is super friendly as well. I'll definitely be back to try other offerings and you should to! read more

Best kept secret for fresh seafood! Their Walleye entree is big enough to share. Lobster bisque is decadent and tasty. Sides are fresh. We like the potato salad and coleslaw. Service is excellent also. Don't expect much for ambiance, it's a small place to order your food and leave. With the summer weather there is a covered patio area you can sit and eat. Highly recommend. read more

Owner Russ is great - high quality seafood. My only issue is on two separate visits my perch dinner was over cooked. They are waiting on multiple Customers - lose track of fish cooking time. read more

Hands down my go-to spot in early summer. Fantastic fresh fish & they like me, dislike the crockery crooked 'fish cleaners' located on Baumhart Road, across from the old Ford Plant. I used to there when it was a bar & play cards for my 11pm-7am shifts. read more

Highly recommend!! Service was excellent, food was great, prices were reasonable!! We got the oyster dinner with onion rings and slaw and the perch dinner with mushrooms and slaw. Plus the clam chowder and lobster bisque! Excellent!! Lots of clams in the chowder, hearty and seasoned just right. Lobster bisque was full of meat and very tasty. Can't wait to try their clam bake!! read more

This is the place for local fresh seafood if your in Lorain! They also have cooked meals as well! LAKE ERIE PERCH!!!!! I miss it! So when I come home I have to get me some perch and walleye!!!! read more

I like the large clamps the cherry stone ones, so that's what I got. They were great. I haven't had them in a while now I know where to find them. This is a nice place to go to. read more

Very friendly very good food can't eat inside but they have picnic table to eat at outside

We were coming in from out of town for the Supermodified and Sprint car races and planned our early dinner around this highly rated spot... But unfortunately they don't respect their clients time and did not update Yelp or Google that they were taking the day off. Nothing infuriates me more than an establishment wasting my precious time. If you want to take a Saturday off fine, but update your hours for a predetermined absence. In the meantime we passed plenty of other options and our dinner was ruined by this establishments lack of courtesy. read more

I have driven past this place a bunch of times and finally stopped last Friday. I gotta say this place has the best yellow perch sandwich....I wish I would had stopped here a long time ago! The sandwich is about $5 and definitely worth every penny of it! They offer fresh seafood and carry out meals. I have heard the lobster bisque is very good so I'll be stopping by for it next time! It's nice to have a good place for seafood and great carryout food near work (Lorain, there isn't much of anything around here for food), I will continue to give my business to a great place like this! read more

Fantastic fresh fish, wish they were open all season. They offer seasonings I've never seen before and can't wait to try

Love the fish and great services. So glad this is close by I visit as often as I can. If you haven't had their fried perch you are missing out. read more

We have a traditional large clam bake each year in October. In the past, we have ordered the middle neck clams from a variety of places and have just been partially satisfied. This year's clams came from Ardick Seafood and were the absolute best we have ever had! They were clean and nice size. The price was the same as the other places but the quality surpassed all! We no longer will be searching for our future clam bakes! Thanks Ardick Seafood!!! Everyone raved about this year's clams! read more

Best fresh seafood in the County for sure! Their cooked dinners are awesome and Russ's smoked salmon is off the charts delicious.

Ordered 6 dozen uncooked washed Middlenecks - they were SO SO good. This place seems to do a huge amount of volume, which leads to fresher seafood. Clams were excellent and customer service was, too. I'll be back for sure. read more

We love this place! Friendly service, Great food. Brings back memories with LHS gravy and fries

The perch dinner is an excellent value! Didn't realize at first that they sold fish dinners. I grew tired of the Slovak Home's overpriced, overhyped and sub-par fish. If you want the best perch in town, you must come here! read more

A nice little restaurant/fish market. The food was pretty good and they had a great looking counter of fresh fish. Ardick Seafood seems like a good place for lunch and has a nice menu of seafood stuff to choose from. Ardick Seafood is better for carry out meals. There is no place to eat inside, but they do have picnic tables set up under and awning/tent so if you eat there make sure to go when it's nice out. I've only been here once, and if it wasn't so far away from home I definitely would make return trips there. read more

This is a difficult review for me to write about this quaint seafood store and take out restaurant. I might have hit it on a bad day, or perhaps the fryer was not totally up to temperature when I arrived. I snagged the perch dinner and onion rings based on the recommendations here. The batter was average "fast food" type batter, and did not present a unique characteristic. I found the onion rings ok, and very oiled. (From the container near the fryers, it looks like soybean oil.) Hoping the cole slaw and tarter sauce would take it over the top, I sampled them and found the tarter tasting like a commercial blend. I did not find any unique flavor over tones in either the tarter sauce or the cole slaw. I found the staff very pleasant and helpful. If you need to snag a quick fried fish lunch on a nice day, Ardick would fit the bill. Eating under the canopy on the picnic tables is pleasant on a nice fall day. Surveying the case, the fish presented for sale looked very good. read more

Best perch sandwich I ever had. Just the right amount of breading. I get the Jumbo for $7.00

Apparently this place has been around for 20+ years, but just recently discovered it! The fish market has fresh seafood selections, and they also have a take-out menu of sandwiches, fried fish platters, etc. The only prepared food I've tried so far is the lobster bisque, which is Deeeevine! Lots of chunks of lobster and has a wonderful fresh flavor and no unpleasant "fishiness" like store-bought lobster bisque. read more

Great place. Stopped there yesterday to pick up some Lake Erie Perch and Walleye. Use for Christmas gifts The joint was jumping. Packed. Got a perch sandwich on the way out. One of Lorain's best kept secrets. I'd highly recommend adding this to your shopping and lunch destinations. December 2018 read more

I consistently stop in for the perch dinner and a 1/4 pound of clam strips atleast once a month. Fresh fish. Great service. They also make great bbq. Hidden gem on a dead part of lorain read more

This was the best seafood I had during my trip to Lake Erie last summer. I would even say the food was as enjoyable as it was at The Real Seafood Company. I got the perch dinner which has great value. It comes with a good amount of fish and a few other items you can see on the menu someone posted here. The fish is so fresh and everything tasted so good. The staff was super friendly and was very accommodating. I highly recommend it! read more

I love their fish but it is way over priced. To get a decent dinner you are talking almost $20.00, that's crazy from a smelly fish market where you have to eat outside. read more

The perch dinners are wonderful that is what we usually get- they are always 5 star but this time around we got the frozen jumbo shrimp and shrimp seafood salad and the whole family is having intestinal issues and we had to call off work so a $40 price of food is actually costing us hundreds of dollars due to lost wages. This is the second time we have gotten sick off the shrimp seafood salad- same thing happened 2 years ago we thought that was just a glitch. We won't be back after this time and the upcharge on using a credit card is insane- if you go make sure to bring cash and don't get the seafood salad. read more

Great spot to grab lunch and on a nice day sit outside on their covered patio. Tartar sauce was amazing and different from anything else.

Nice staff and awesome food. No indoor seating but picnic table area was nice to eat outside. Lobster bisque was delish with lots of lobster. Cabbage and noodles tasted homemade. Gave free taste of smoked salmon which my husband subsequently ordered and enjoyed. Fresh fried lake perch was also fantastic. Will definitely come back. We wish we would have found sooner! read more

We were frequent customers when we lived in Lorain. Now we drive from Medina for the wonderful seafood cooked or uncooked. Killer smoked salmon, great owners. It doesn't get any better. Seriously well worth the drive. No fresher seafood anywhere. read more

Great seafood. I had a Lake Walleye Dinner and hubby had the perch sandwich. We also had the lobster bisque. The food was all great. Can't wait to stop by again. Fresh seafood prices are very reasonable. No in store dining but the food is so good I'd eat in the car. A great Mom and Pop that is a hidden little jewel. read more
