Maple has not faired well through the years and the neighborhood isn't nice anymore, and that's something you need to keep in mind when visiting, but the deli is outstanding and the beer selection is good and very reasonably priced. Now I have to give massive kudos to this awesome Lakewood gas station which is not only shiny and new but has free air for anybody. That's one of the coolest things I've ever heard. Nobody gives free air - these guys do. It was a godsend on this particular night, as I had a slow leak. I was impressed and happy about it. So this was where I ended up changing my tire and it took about three hours (1am-4am) and other than an Ashton Kutcher look alike who popped in to put free air in his tire there was never a point where anybody bothered me or hit me up for anything - so it's definitely in a safe area. I think I saw more cops out here than regular cars. The tire changing was a nightmare, but the gas station was awesome. It's well-lit even when it's closed. I guess that's my only complaint is that they close late at night - but other than that it's the perfect gas station.

I ordered two sandwiches... and while waiting I noticed that they had a little combo deal going on- add a drink, cookie, & chips to your sandwich! I was all about it! He basically let me pick any 12oz drink, small chips, and their cookies are already made!! The sandwich was pretty big! I got mine cut in half and they actually put a good amount of things on your sandwich! You can get any of their sandwiches hot or cold!! I toasted mine and added mayo/chipotle sauce - DELICIOUS!!! And only $8 or $10 for the combo!!! I will say the cookie was a little hard but I was stuffed anyway I didn't need a cookie haha It looked like they also served breakfast sandwiches!! For around $4 - not bad AT ALL!! I'll have to come back and try them! They also offer catering of sandwiches - anywhere from 8-20 but possibly more if you called and asked! For the price and care you cannot beat it!!! I will definitely be back to try more sandwiches!!!
