Staff is friendly, however there are times they cannot be found. The biggest downfall is the self checkout. It's a mess. Put too many items away too fast you have to wait. Scan too fast? Wait. Move the wrong way? Wait. Now, this wouldn't be a problem...if there was a checker to help. But they're never there when I am. So you wait FOREVER. Time is my most precious expediture and I often skip Meijer to avoid spending it.

I felt like this store was truly taking safety precautions seriously. The aisles were appropriately marked in one way directions, the staff all had masks on, and I saw employees regularly sanitizing high-touch areas. At check-out they also had plexiglass between you and the cashier. They had an ample amount of registers open, even though it was a not busy time, and I was able to get in and out quickly. I love the deli selection here and a lot of the Market District products. They also have a full state liquor store and a huge wine selection. I end up doing 80% of my grocery shopping here because it's the best option I have at the moment. However, it is very disappointing when I go there at 6:00 p.m. and cannot get a loaf of unsliced Italian bread! That seriously makes me a crazy person! I have no idea why they cannot just bake plenty of Italian bread if you know that you run out of it all the time! I'm also not crazy about the new store design! I'm having a terrible time finding what I need and I HATE the bread being in the first isle! I loved getting my bread and buns and dairy last! It just makes sense. On the positive, their produce is usually fresh and good. Their meat selection is also very good and I love their deli meats & cheeses. The beer cave and beer selection is also great, so this ends up being my grocery store of choice. It is a little pricey, but they have good sales and I'm only buying for 2 people, so that helps.
