On a recent visit to see friends, we started a long day as anyone should, with great coffee!…read moreLocated near the lakefront in Vermilion, this coffee shop has an eclectic feel, both cozy for small parties, and also with a ton of space for large groups. The counter is in the back; they have a large selection of breakfast items but the main draw is coffee. They have all the brewed standards, plus along the rear wall are dozens of roasted beans to buy to go. Beans from all over the world, roasted in different ways, some with flavoring. You can fill up bags to enjoy your favorites at home. During our visit, I ordered a bagel and their star tots. The bagels were great quality, toasted to order with any toppings. They have options for breakfast sandwiches as well. I also had a cold brew. The staff was small, but surprisingly efficient even with the amount of customers coming and going. Prices are super reasonable as well. If you're in the area, this is a cozy spot for breakfast.

We sat in the big comfy chairs. Drank a tropical bubble tea and an iced churro coffee. The tropical bubble tea was good. Not too sweet, a little bit too much ice, but was very cool and refreshing. The iced churro coffee was delicious and a bit indulgent. Lots of cinnamon and nice cold foam top. Very good. We sat for about 30mins and enjoyed our drinks, cooled off, used the restroom and did some people watching. Place was very steady. People talking out and staying in. This seems pretty popular. All sorts of drinks ordered. Nice place lots of tables, booths, and comfy chairs and couch. Main order area is in the corner toward the back, the rest is seating. We'll be back.

5/5 STARS!!! NUMBER 1. NUMÉRO UNO!!…read more WOW, QAHWAH HOUSE COFFEE is the best coffee shop in Cleveland and this is coming from a non-coffee drinker. I tried their Jubani, a light roast coffee and it is out of this world. Out of all the Yemen-based coffee shops in Cleveland, QAHWAH HOUSE is my favourite. HISTORY -- They are the original YEMENI coffee shop that existed in the United States, the first. They offer premium Organic Coffee from an 8th generation family coffee farm in Yemen. Qahwah House brought their coffee from Yemen to the United States in 2017 and have grown ever since with locations in over 10 U.S. states. They have 2 locations right now in Columbus, Ohio and 1 location in Cleveland. They are still expanding across the U.S. AMBIANCE -- Chic and cute. Beautiful inside with lovely light fixtures, amazing pictures on the wall of their famers handling the coffee beans, and an overall great design. Right in the center of the coffee shop on the wall is a lovely map of the world that shows the distribution of coffee over the years. TEA/COFFEE -- Their coffee beans are hand picked by humans in Yemen and sun dried on the roof of houses. The beans are a green colour and they use an elaborate and specific process to grind/roast the coffee. I tried the Adeni tea which is excellent plus I asked for light sugar. Because I sat in store, the tea came in a tea pot plus a small cup for me to drink it with. The tea pot is a great idea because it has a small candle underneath it to keep the tea warm. I was given a sample of their Jubani coffee which I absolutely loved. The Jubani is a light roast coffee with ginger, cardamom and cinnamon. The Jubani is very good and I highly recommend it. I'm not a coffee drinker but the Jubani blew me away with the taste. PASTRIES -- They also sell different types of sweet and savory pastries. I got a tomato and olive pastry while I sat in and it was delicious. I also got the Sabaya ($5) which is a light pastry that is supposed to have butter inside but I didn't taste any butter. The Sabaya comes with a side of what appears to be honey or syrup. The Sabaya tasted dry but I only ate it later that night or the next evening (I didn't finish it). SERVICE -- is absolutely outstanding, in my opinion. Everyone that I met was super nice and friendly. Tony, I think that was his name, explained to be the process of how the coffee is roasted in this big machine that sits right at the entrance to the store. He showed me the coffee machine. He told me so many interesting facts about their coffee and about Qahwah House in general which I've already highlighted/written in this review. When I arrived and told them it was my first time here but I don't drink coffee, an hour and a half later or so, I was brought a sample of their Jubani coffee. I was surprised yet happy that they brought me a coffee sample plus I loved the Jubani coffee. With friendly and excellent service, amazing coffee and tea, good wifi, and plenty of tables/chairs, I will definitely be back. TIP: There is a free parking lot. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 119/250 total reviews in 2026 - 960 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 6 June 2026

The baked chicken was so tender and juicy! Bacon wrapped meatloaf is worth driving an hour to eat! Her apple pie was one of the best I have ever had.... The crust was so flaky! But the Hoho cakeshould be illegal to serve, so moist and the chocolate topping! I will never forget this dessert. Thank you for such a fine meal!

We discovered Susie's Cafe around that time as well. Here's the main thing. It's small and fills up fast. So if every seat is taken you will wait. Servers are busy and a bit harried all the time. We were waiting for a table with another 2 ladies. Not with us. Just all waiting for a table. A 2 top opened and the staff assumed we were all together and didn't ask. We weren't. Just talking friendly as we were waiting. Finally we said something. The 2 ladies were seated. We the. We're seated about 5 mins later. I guess the moral is to ask. Don't assume. As mentioned it small. Food is diner and good. Breakfast all day. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, soup. Menu isn't huge but it has the good stuff. I got a wrap with chicken, bacon, peppers, cheese, onions they were out of fresh cut fries and it was only 12:30p. So I got hash browns. Food came out in about 10 mins or so. It was good portion. My wrap was supposed to be to be grilled and it wasn't. Nor was it wrapped well. I had to rewrap it. Contents were falling out. It was good though. Hash browns good too. The staff seemed harried and stressed. So I am cutting them some slack on the score. Food is good. Prices are decent. Staff is trying. A few things they could clean up. It's a mom and pop place. You will get a good meal. Just be aware.

An absolute treasure! No other way to describe it. "The…read moreJudith" is a cute as can be, little French styled Cafe on Lorain Ave. in Cleveland. We went out there this morning at about 9:00 am so we could get a table before the "sit at a table all day with their computer" crowd. We beat everyone. We were greeted immediately by 3 very pleasant young ladies that were more than happy to explain how things worked. We were given a menu and told to sit anywhere we liked. A bottle of water was provided with glasses made of real glass... unusual now days. After perusing a small, but very interesting menu, we returned to the counter to place our orders. I had an excellent cappacino and something I haven't had since our last trip to Europe...toasted sourdough with butter and fresh radish slices. Now, you may think, that doesn't sound like such a big deal. But, it's all in the simplicity and freshness of the ingredients. I'm here to tell you, it was marvelous! We had a very relaxing morning with young people who were personable and laughed easily. I enjoyed it tremendously. Can't recommend this establishment highly enough. A definite must see.

I was immediately welcomed and offered a menu. I ordered a special latte which was very good. I don't remember the exact name and their drink menu isn't available on their page. Sorry. For my meal I ordered the Roast Beef Croustillant. I didn't like it as much as I'd hoped. I found that the baguette really took away from my enjoyment. The bread wasn't very pliable so it felt like I was fighting to take a bite each time. Overall the flavor was good. I'd go back to try other things in the menu.
