Nice to have a good restaurant back at Winter Haven airport! These people know how to run an airport restaurant- the hours are convenient for pilots flying in as well as the locals and the food is good and reasonably priced. We stopped in recently for lunch and enjoyed seating on the outdoor patio overlooking the runway and ramp area. The "Jack Brown" club was huge (ended up taking half of it home) and delicious. The "Catch of the Day" sandwich promised local fresh fish, which turned out to be an uninspired but adequate tilapia on a bun. Maybe next time the fishing will be better! We will be back! read more

Upon entrance we were greeted promptly and told to sit wherever we liked. The place was scarce, maybe 5 tables of people and 3-4 servers working. Ordered our food and drinks. I got a pineapple mimosa that was very good and the biscuits and gravy. The portion was very large and filling. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles and was not given any syrup. Our drinks were never refilled and some of what we ordered didnt come out until we asked for it.c The service is very slow considering they have no customers. Stopped in for our first meal. We were here during breakfast. I had French toast which was wonderful, my portion was generous. The sausage patty was good, some restaurants not so much. My husband had eggs, grits, and sausage gravy over biscuits. The gravy was cold but when we asked for it to be nuked they immeadilty gave us a fresh order. The biscuit was great. Not a fan of their ice tea, it wasn't southern style sweet tea but that is just my preference. I love the crisp, clean decor and open floor plan. Great space. Went here with our whole family and had the best food and service in town! Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, spring rolls and pulled pork sandwich. The steak was also exceptional and we are very very picky with our steak. Everything is brand new and very clean with a great ambiance and decor. There was live music playing classic favorite songs on guitar including some fav Beatles. You have to stop here, don't miss out on a hidden jewel at the winter haven airport. read more

The new owners have made a change to the menu and it is definitely for the better. The pork tenderloin was succulent and cooked to perfection. The Guacamole on the santa Fe burger was fresh and the burger was also cooked to perfection not overdone at all. If in town it's a must do. read more

Exceptional service and delicious food. The renovation of the airport/restaurant and new management have made this place of my favorites. My husband and I came for breakfast, we started with fresh ground coffee and the fresh cut fruit plate. Seasonal variety of honeydew, cantaloupe, mango, strawberries, raspberries and grapes. My husband had the hash with eggs, homage biscuit and a cup of sausage gravy. I had two eggs, bacon and sliced tomatoes. Everything tasted very good and looked freshly made. While we were eating we were already thinking what we want to try on our next visit. The service was exceptional, not only from the servers but the owner/manager. A friend of mine and I decided to get out of Palm Beach County for the day and visit a friend in Winter Haven. We used Yelp to find this GEM and boy were they RIGHT. Man we're we pleasantly surprised. The fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever eaten with crumbled blue cheese and bacon on top. Holy crap!!! AHHHHMAZING. Then we both ordered burgers. They came out missing a couple of things but they quickly made it right. The owner is on site. She is super sweet and humble. She apologized to us several times. Then the chef cane out and apologized. We are not used to that in Palm Beach County. Lol. We got tater tots dusted with cinnamon. Again ...Holy crap!!! Sweet potato fries freshly cut and fried. Amaze balls!!!! Did you know key lime pie was actually tan and not green ? Yeah well Me either. Order it!! You won't be disappointed. Half way home we almost turned around for more tater tots. We also learned about a program called fly n dine. I cannot wait to check it out. You should too!!! This place is on my top 5 restaurants I've ever visited!! I am a frequent flyer flying to all kinds of international and municipal airports300,000+ miles a year. I like the Flight Line Cafe. It's is really classy. I came in for breakfast twice now which the omelette was absolutely cooked to perfection, second choice I chose was biscuits and gravy. Everyone claims buiscuits cooked in house daily (I am a buiscuit connoisseur) they are Some of the largest and fresh biscuits I have ever had. What's amazing to me is you don't have to fly out just to enjoy this place. It's open to the public. The staff is absolutely on point. A new owner has taken over, and the cafe is even better than before. The service is friendly and quick. The food is outstanding. The sausage was fresh and crisp, the French toast was soft in the center with a crispy outer layer. What a pleasant surprise! These guys know what they are doing! The food is spectacular and the prices are reasonable. My two boys (8/11) split a Rueben which was quite large. They finished every bite including the fries. The pastrami sandwich and coleslaw was tender and excellent as well. My wife had the pimento blt (pimento cheese, bacon, fried green tomato) and it basically melts in your mouth. I had the florida spring rolls with pulled pork, collards, and some other surprises (it was creative and delicious). Their dinner selections were not available at lunch, but boy was lunch talked about for the next few hours. The owner was on site, greeted us and checked in with us, nice touch. Not recommended... Went here as a result of Yelp Reviews. Not a pleasant experience. We were a party of 4 and were served coffee and waters right away. Then there was no one available to take our orders. It appears that all orders are entered by the manager on an electronic pad. Many customers that arrived behind us were delivered food yet ours did not come. I asked the manager if there was a delay and pointed out that we still had not been served. I explained that we had found this resteraunt on Yelp. We told him we were disappointed and he said that did not matter and there would be more customers to replace us. Absolutely delicious! The food is FRESH! All made from scratch and to order!! The grilled Cesar salad was incredible, it was eaten before we could even take a picture!! I was going here quite often for lunch and the food was good however on this day we was given one menu as the other one was dirty. My companion looked at my menu and decided what he would like to order before he was brought a menu and happened to mention to the waitress that we was ready to order. Apparently she felt rushed and complained to the manager. (I am assuming as the waitress never returned to our table after dropping off the one menu but the manager did) With that being said the manager approached our table and told us breakfast would take 35 minutes to prepare and maybe we didn't want to wait because he didn't want any animosity. Really? First of all we did not have the opportunity to place an order so how did the manager know how long it would take to prepare our food??? Therefore we figured we was in a round about way being asked to leave (and we did)! I have never been asked to leave a place of business and have never shown ANIMOSITY in any establishment. Heard they have new owners, so we decided to try this again. The interior is awesome, but for us, anyway, the positive experience ended there. I ordered diet soda and was told it wasnt hooked up, or was out, so settled for water ( I don't drink coffee ). Wife ordered home fries, I ordered the hash browns, to see which was better, but we both ended up with burned (blackened?) home fries. Her over-mediums were too runny, but my scrambled was o.k. Only one slice of toast per order, and they don't butter them, so by the time the toast reaches the table, it's a large, cold, crunchy crouton !! Her sausage patties were also burned, and our server never checked on us, although the other one did. The guy behind the bar/counter (manager?) didnt check on us or ask how things were as we paid and left. Prices weren't bad, $6.95 each for our plates. Don't think they are ready yet. To owner: I suggest a sign whether to seat yourself or not, have the servers or cooks butter the toast, and stop burning the potatoes ! read more
