Rich sent someone over immediately to patch the leak until he could do a complete job.. The entire roof needed to be replaced, and there were many unexpected problems. But Rich and his crew met this job head on, with professionalism and completed the job in a timely manner for a fair and reasonable price. I cannot speak highly enough of DeMuro Roofing and they have my highest recommendation. Thank you.

I've a small flat…read moreroof on the 3rd floor that was leaking constantly and my idea was to replace the whole roof. I called and they came right over. I did mention I wanted it replaced, but they said the best thing to do was to use white silicone coating and it will stop anything. So, I said ok. They got the job done in June of 2020. It looked good, not what I was looking for, but I trusted them and I thought it was fine. They also gave me a 5 year warranty. Fast forward to Autumn of 2024, and it started leaking again. I called and said I want to use the warranty. Communication was not as great. They constantly told me they are going to troubleshoot it and get to the bottom of it. It seemed like they were surprised that the silicone didn't stop it. They did visit, but kept on saying it doesn't look like their work, but they will get a guy who can give a masterclass on finding leaks. They never returned and the warranty had expired as time slipped by. I ended up going with their competitors. The competition replaced the whole roof, found the leak in the process, and used ingenuity to prevent it from ever leaking again. DeMuro was a huge disappointment and I regret spending $4,750 with them. They did replace my gutters and I was happy about that, but they subbed that out, so not really their work.

Let me start by saying that I second a lot of what people are saying about Carlos: in that, he…read morecomes off as a nice guy, he has a nice crew, and he has a drone that he flies over your house when searching for an issue on your roof. Where I disagree with the other reviews concerns Carlos' ability to deliver results. Because in my case, he simply did not deliver results. To be clear, I paid Carlos $1,600 to FIND and REPAIR the source of a leak above my upstairs bathroom. He came out, flew his drone around, and told me that he found the issue. After doing some work on the roof, he then told me that he found the issue and fixed it. A couple months later, still had the leak. He subsequently sent a crew member out to find the source of the continued leak. The crew member went up to the roof, did some work, and told me that he found the issue (a different issue than Carlos first found) and fixed it. Still, the leak continued, and only became worse over time (see attached photo). For a while, Carlos talked a good game about coming back out to repair the leak after I sent him photos and videos of the fact that the leak was still not repaired. But he never showed any sense of urgency about scheduling to come back out. There was always an excuse as to why we would have to schedule for "next week" or sometime in the future instead of just making it a priority to come back out and get the job done. Then, the last time we spoke, he proposed opening up the ceiling in my bathroom to find the leak, but ghosted me after making that drastic suggestion and after I requested a partial (not even a full) refund. I then had another company from Bergenfield come out that immediately found the source of the leak and fixed it for several hundreds of dollars less than what Carlos charged me. For me at least (as I can't speak for others' experience), Carlos is a business owner who can't deliver results, and who ghosts you and keeps your money when you call him on it, even after you inform him that you will sue him (which, I will) if he doesn't provide a refund. Not my kind of guy, not my kind of business.

Can anyone fix this leak?? I had several estimates, had 4 different companies come and tell me what would fix that leak. The range of remedies was vast and varied in costs. CHARLIE with ON THE SPOT was the first to come take a look. Right away I was impressed with his knowledge, he was very kind, respectful and professional. He came when he said he would, took pictures, & explained everything so that I could understand. He found the problem that the other guys didn't even mention & it made perfect sense. He is honest and that is a gift beyond measure in todays world. My Mother and I felt totally safe with him and he even encouraged us to follow thru with the other estimates I had scheduled. In the end, we hired ON THE SPOT and are so so so glad that we did. They were on time, worked quickly, were very clean and cleaned up any shred of debris from the job. They were mindful of our dogs, keeping the gates closed even when our dogs were inside. AND THE LEAK IS FIXED!!! We just had a massive drenching a few days ago AND IT DID NOT RAIN IN THE KITCHEN!! NO LEAKS!! THANK YOU CHARLIE WITH ON THE SPOT! We will be telling our friends and family and will definitely hire them again as they do home improvements as well. I would not recommend On The Spot under any circumstances. It felt like my project was managed like a game of hot potato, with no one person taking responsibility from beginning to end, but instead, by lots of people who seemingly never collaborated and also managed lots of other projects as well as evolving roles within the company. The subcontractors that they used to do my project varied wildly in terms of the quality of their work and experience. Working with On the Spot is not an experience I'll ever reflect upon with any fondness. Everyone has that friend/neighbor/realtor's nephew who had an awful experience with a contractor. Well in this case, I am that friend/neighbor/realtor's nephew and On the Spot is that contractor. Look elsewhere.

Listen, Mike Alleva is a legitimate crook. There is absolutely no reason why a homeowner should…read morerely on them to perform a service of any kind, particularly one of a larger scale remodel. His staff unfortunately follows his lead, even begrudgingly, characterizing this business as having no integrity whatsoever. The most immoral, unethical behavior of the events, is the following. We were elevating the ceiling height in our enclosed front porch. Above the dropped ceiling was space similar to an attic, and the intent was to eradicate the unused attic-like space and raise the ceiling for aesthetic purposes. During the estimate, the project manager moved a ceiling tile, examined and measured, and said the current existing support was more than sufficient for the project, and proper for code purposes. Fast forward several months to the actual construction, the ceiling was demo'd, and then Mike calls and says that he needs to rebuild the rafters. I told him they were thoroughly examined already. He then raised his voice, belligerent and aggressive, and like a thief in the night says that I have two choices - I can either choose to stop construction and cause a significant & timely delay while we await inspections, or I can pay $3000 for one day's work of exchanging the rafters. So, I watched them remove perfectly fine construction, just so they could rob me. His project manager knew it, his office assistant knew it, his crew knew it. he knew it, and we knew it. And it was unscrupulous, despicable, and an entirely sleazy way of squeezing money from good people. I hate to be stereotypical, and hindsight is 20/20 but it added up in the end when I remembered Mike showed up in a $100k car and $200 jeans to give a hardworking family an estimate on modifying their home, one that he ultimately inevitably disregarded for the sake of his own benefit and meager financial gain. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere, read and trust the accounts from other concerned reviewers of this abhorrent, dishonest individual.
