Let me start with saying I'm going to blame the times for this review I'm about to give back in 2018 I stopped here for the first time the food was outstanding, went there again today and sadly I have to give it 1 star, I know things are more expensive these days but what happened to quality why does the quality have to go away sure you're going to charge more but why not deliver the same quality of food, we had spring rolls excuse me lettuce wrap because that's what it was the sushi roll I ordered was no where the same as it used to be, must be hard to stay in business when you can't keep the quality of your food read more

I waited a good 45 minutes in my car Wednesday afternoon to eat the rolls here! You order as you come up to the window; pay & wait! Now Sushi takes a while to be made I totally get it but I wish they took phone orders or at least had two sushi chefs just for one hour working there during peak time. That being said that's not even why I gave it three stars! Once it was my turn I ordered three rolls and one cucumber salad. I watched him make every roll and I do like how cautious and precise he was but knowing that it's the lunchtime peak hour I wish he worked a little bit faster! Like when I go to sushi restaurants or I sit at the sushi bar ( been eating sushi all over for 30 years) i'm used to these chefs making the sushi rolls more amazing AND so fast with their hands! This guy took his time and sliced every piece of fish so thin!! It felt like he hardly uses any meat! But my God the rice on the seaweed was so thick you'll see my attached pictures how much I had to leave behind when eating it later! It's not like we're at an all you can eat sushi and they're trying to fill you up on rice I'm paying for my role so the least you could do is put less rice on the little meat that you have inside!! I don't wanna eat sashimi and God knows how tiny that's gonna be for the price! Maybe I came at a bad day but considering that this is a tiny little stand that doesn't have a high space rental I'd like to believe that I'm getting a better deal on my sushi rolls! So that 45 minute wait could've been cut in half if he moved a little faster and they would've had five stars if I felt like they weren't trying to fill me up with mostly rice! The wait time is absolutely worth it. This place is completely authentic and raw to its core. A small mom and pop shop, the experience of even waiting in the drive thru adds excitement to when you finally get your sushi. I recommend going with friends, it's nice to wait, while you're talking with your friends and listening to music. When you arrive at the window, you are greeted by the same lady every time. The chef in there is always the same person so I assume there a husband and wife duo who own the shop, which is very neat and adds onto the authenticity of this place. They have a good selection of sushi rolls, each option being as good as the next. The menu is easy to read, it depicts every ingredient used in every menu item, not only that, but they also offer cold soda cans and Thai tea, in which I found absolutely refreshing. My go to order is the spicy salmon sushi rolls, with a Thai tea. Each bite is a perpetuating perplexity of flavor, with the add on of soy sauce, ginger, and even chopsticks. This little mom and pop shop has been a iconic staple on Shaw and Clovis, for the many years it's been standing, you couldn't stop but notice this little shop as you're going down Shaw. A hidden treasure most definitely. This place values their customers and takes pride in what they do, willing to go lengths to create a fair environment for satisfaction, even proudly stating their yelp reviews on their window. I've read reviews from 3 years ago that say the lady would try to make customers become regulars by inciting conversations that specifically infer to such, however I assume that was a time when their business was slow due to economic and world issues. However In this time they seem to be thriving and continue to push forward by creating good food and good customer service. A quick and fast drive thru option for sushi. They make everything fresh to order and have an array of options. They offer sushi, traditional sides (edamame, cucumber salad, seaweed salad, miso soup), rice bowls and even spring rolls from what I recall. I ordered a veggie roll, cucumber salad and spring rolls. Quality wise, not bad, a standard 3 star rating, barely. They're a bit heavy with the rice and it's not the best sushi rice I've had, but it'll do. The spring rolls I couldn't even try in one sitting because all I could finish was my veggie rolls. When I did try it, it was filled with lettuce, cucumber, carrots and avocado. They were pretty big. The prices were decent as well. My whole meal cost about $13. The customer service was great. The lady greeted me and was super friendly. She asked if it was my first time trying out their spot and I told her it was. She thanked me for checking them out and gave me a menu as well. She had such a genuine appeal to her, it really made my experience a special one. read more

This is, hands down, one of the best sushi places I have been to! The husband and wife are usually the ones running the place, and everything is made to order. They observe COVID-19 guidelines (mask, sanitization, etc.) and their customer service is stellar! This location is a drive-thru, but be ready to wait for a good 30 minutes to an hour. Wait time may be long since they make the food in front of you - so just depends on the order in front of you. But this is also a plus because your food is made to order I got the star shine roll (10.99) and my friend got the spicy salmon roll (6.50). They were both really good but we both thought there was way too much rice. This was our first time there so next time I'll be sure to ask for less rice. Fleurichi Express sushi is american as apple pie with its drive thru service and typical american rolls offerings with eclectic names which typically is blasphemous to a real sushi chef, but for most americans especially in clovis, this must be sushi enough for them, therefore if you're the rare exception and happen to be a sushi connoisseur, stay far away because you will hate it, however for someone who calls a dragon roll a "sushi", this is awesome and probably would make your two thumbs stand up. I must admit Fleurichi is utterly convenient, pretty cheap, fast, and offers some what the things Americans observes as sushi. The only problem is I don't think this is sushi at all, for god sake even the people making the sushi is not Japanese, they are South East Asian's or something. If someone is actually reading this, you are probably confused; isn't this sushi I am eating, why are you telling me it is not? sure it has seaweed, raw fish and sticky Japanese rice, but American sushi is almost a different food group than traditional sushi. So what accounts for the huge differences? Regional tastes and cultural differences are largely the source. Where Japanese sushi is a delicate balance of flavors, western diners prefer bold flavors and strong colors, which explains the popularity of a roll like the "Philadelphia Roll", which includes Salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. This is the type of fare that you would never find at a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant! Anyways let me get back to reviewing on Feleurichi and their food, I ordered the Star sunshine roll $9.99 which is basically a mix of spicy tuna, cucumber spread topped with salmon egg and smothered with teriyaki sauce and dynamite sauce. The fish itself is inferior- probably a very cheap variety, while the fresh-ness is questionable, I couldn't really tell, since it was hiding under all that sauce. But taste wise, I didn't think it was fresh to my standard. The rice texture however was good, but overall for someone used to tasting real japanese sushi, this tasted like mcdonalds started making sushi and I bought it. Overall real convenient, cheap, real friendly service and clean establishment, however this is no place for real Japanese sushi, this is a place for americans to get sushi-like-food and not the real things. Basically what I am saying is that western sushi is not as much Japanese food as it is inspired by Japanese cuisine, and that there are major differences between the sushi you would get in Western countries and the sushi you would be served in Japan. I love that my town has a drive-through sushi joint. While I don't eat sashimi, I love cooked and vegetarian sushi. This place, conveniently located on the corner of Shaw Avenue and Clovis Avenue, provides a fresh, healthy alternative to conventional fast food. I have gone here a few times. So far, I've tried the spicy California roll, vegetable roll (my favorite!), seaweed salad, and spicy shrimp roll. Everything I've ordered has been enjoyable, fresh, and plentiful in portion size (for what you pay). I love that the rolls are made to order--nothing sitting around for half a day waiting for a buyer. I hope the novelty of a drive-through sushi place doesn't wear off, because this place is awesome! read more
