My friends and I had spent time at the textile museum here in Tsuen Wan, after which, we were feeling a mite peckish. My friend John recommended this place (even though he's not eaten here before). The whole building is sort of noveau-modern, with a few newer establishments offering their dining/beverage fare. The name itself may tip one off as to their pretentiousness, even if someone who really understood French might be more likely to name their business "La Fleur" or "Des Fleurs" - "Fleur", on the other hand, is...weird.
We were seated quickly and offered menus. They are not pricey-pricey, but it's not eco-dining by any means, especially at lunch. I chose the fish, which came with a melange that included quinoa. The fish did SEEM fresh, but it also smelled just a little fishy. My friends did seem happy with their choices. Forget what the deal was, but it came with a beverage.
Service was really slow at times - lunches for our table of 6 came out at different times; one beverage required repeated begging before it finally arrived. They were not busy by the time that happened. read more
