Cake with florals from her garden
    Randi W.

There are cakes you want to look at, and there are cakes you want to eat... and then there is Fleur Cakes, which does it all! We booked Pam for our June wedding in the Gorge, and she did a wonderful job creating an absolutely delicious all-vanilla masterpiece (at the request of my fiance, a vanilla fiend!). For the sample cakes, she made us entire fresh cakes, which was very generous, and my family devoured hers as our clear winner. She even decorated the cake with flowers straight from her garden, for an extra touch on the cake. There wasn't any left at the end of the night - it was that good! She also made us some cheesecakes for our gluten free friends, and we loved having the option for both.

Gluten-free Cheesecake, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Orange Cream Cupcakes, & Coconut Cupcakes for our wedding.

Thank you so much Pam! The cheesecake & cupcakes were by far the BEST we've ever had. And we're dessert people so we've tasted a lot. Even my Dad, who is a retired executive chef & is very critical, LOVED the gluten-free cheesecake. He said, "this is the first time I've ever eaten an entire slice of cheesecake!". That's huge coming from him! Everyone commented on how yummy the desserts were. We are so sad to be so far from you! When we visit Mount Hood again, we'll definitely be putting in an order with you. Rads will be in desperate craving mode for your red velvet cupcakes, his favorite, until we meet again.

Loved their croissants and lots of pastry options. Nice little spot open late to have desserts!

During our first visit, we arrived kind of late, and there was only one loaf of bread left, and two small baguettes, and so we bought everything they had and a couple coffees and a chai latte to take with us to the cabin. That ended up being an incredible choice because the baguettes made amazing grilled cheese sandos in our little kitchenette, and the rye bread was a hit for breakfast with avocado. The chai was delicious and the coffee was stellar. We stopped back in for lunch on our way back home, and had yummy breakfast sandwiches that were delicious! My croissant breakfast sandwich was next level with delicious bacon and flaky, buttery croissant deliciousness that I would have once more in a heartbeat! It's a lively little joint, located in the great part of town , with wonderful young folks running the place and a great mix of tourists and locals.

There will likely be a line out the door but it's worth the wait. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. We even brought our pup. Staff are friendly and super fast! They know how to move the line and churn out loaves of bread quickly. Super impressive to watch. Thanks for the great Mother's Day breakfast. :)

Hastily decorated. Clean, but nowhere near sterile. The clerk seemed irritated that I walked in, like I was keeping her from something more important. So, I tried to order fast. I was a little peeved that I very clearly asked for a specific Danish, and she just kind of pretended not to hear me and very quickly threw a different Danish in the bag and gave me an irritated look and said, "Anything else?" Um... They were both huckleberry Danishes, but the one she gave me had like a third as much fruit as the one I specifically requested. Whatever. "You don't have any ham and jalapeno rolls or anything like that, do you?" "I'm sold out of that one, but I do have a bread filled with cream cheese and bacon and jalapenos." I took that. The jalapeno bacon cream cheese bread was amazing. The fillings were pretty standard, but the bread itself was phenomenal. Other reviewers have mentioned that the head chef is a classically trained pastry chef. It really showed in this bread. This bread was as good as the bread from my favorite bakeries in San Francisco. Top tier. I could probably eat a little loaf of it every day. It definitely would have been better heated up a little bit, since the cream cheese was all in a cold block on one side of the bread. But it was still really good. The Danish was decent. It definitely tasted very blueberry-y--- I'm not sure if I can tell the difference between regular blueberries vs huckleberries. Overall, it was about as good as a fresh store-bought Danish from Costco. It didn't necessarily taste home-made to me, but the website states that everything is made home-made and from scratch, so I guess it was. But it tasted kind of commercial. The total was around $9, which I thought was high considering the quality of the Danish and the amount of fillings. But prices are high in 2025... c'est la vie.

You can also contact Beverly, the owner, who will do special orders and even provide treats for events like weddings, celebratory parties, special dinners, anything! Over the years I have tried many items and loved them all. There are always unique flavors built into everyday pastries which take B's Sweets to the next level. For example, the maple scones have figs incorporated giving them both texture and contrast. The doughnuts are sometimes flavored with lavender, sometimes hibiscus, sometimes both, giving them a scent and flavor that elevates the ordinary doughnut to something truly special. Even though I am not gluten free, I often buy the GF shortbread cookies beautify decorated with an edible pansy flower. Trust me, you need to buy this for your next brunch or gathering. Not only do they add an artistic flair to your table, they are scrumptious! And all of your friends can enjoy them. The mini tarts - in various flavors depending on what's in season - are also decorated with pansy's and dried fruit. Just gorgeous ! The lemon tart is my favorite but recently bought the blood orange and everyone loved it. Sometimes there are purple tarts - lavendar - and while the color may throw you off, go for it! So good. There are various types of stuffed croissants, brownies, artisan chocolate bon bins and caramels, cookies, focaccia, hand pies, cinnamon rolls, lavender tea cookies and more! Really hard to make decisions. Luckily I'm there weekly so I get to try most everything. The lavender shortbread squares with half dipped in dark chocolate, sprinkled with lavender, are my favorite. Only available in the cooler months as chocolate melts in the heat, I always buy a box of 6 for $10. They also make a great little hostess or just because gift for a friend. You can also find these at the gift store at Hood River Lavender farm for a treat any day of the week. The owner and baker, Beverly, is the best! So kind, friendly and enthusiastic about her baked goods and the customers genuine enjoyment. Call her for special orders. She also provides dessert spreads for events. Your guests will love them!!
