This is a relaxing quaint location. I had a scheduled consultation and facial with Ashley. We met downstairs to lessen talking in the rooms upstairs to discuss any issues I may have suffered from and things I would like to achieve. She was very courteous and knowledgeable. The facial was great. She made me aware of everything that was being done at the time. I may miss a couple things but based on my consultation I had a cleanse, mask, extractions, etc. My skin felt soft and visually cleansed and smooth when finished. While the products are great, the customer service is horrible. I've purchased products since 2020 and my last 2 purchases have gone horribly wrong. I was shipped the wrong items and then I had to drive to the location to get the correct item. Most recently, I purchased products at the beginning of April and was told I'd receive an email when my order was ready for 2 hour pick up. I never received an email. After 3 weeks, I sent an email to inquire about my order--no response. After 2 more weeks, I called and was told I needed to pick up my order. I was also today that I could come on Saturday. I'm here to pick up my order and no one is at the location nor answering the phone. There was no issue taking/accepting my payment for the products though--just with my receipt of them. read more

My experience from start to finish was the highest quality of professionalism. Nestled in Midtown, near Slim & Huskies, you'll find Flesh Skin Studio. There is limited street parking due to some construction going on across the street, but parking is available in the nearby deck. Street parking is metered, but the deck parking is free. I walked in and was greeted by the receptionist who checked me in. She offered free water and a KIND bar while I waited. The atmosphere was so charming and peaceful. There is a small water feature in the waiting area that is absolutely soothing as well as magazines and even a vegan cookbook to view. In case you don't know, a lot of estheticians encourage plant based lifestyles to aid in beautiful skin, treating your body internally as well as externally. My appt was at 11:30, and around 11:27 the skin therapist came down to get me. The treatment rooms are upstairs, so please consider that if you have issues that prevent you from using stairs. They may have an elevator, but I'm not sure about that. My facial was amazing. The stream, the cleanse, the music. Only thing I hated was those deep extractions, but pretty hurts some times. LMAO!! I don't know an extraction that doesn't hurt so don't let that deter you. Would I return? Absolutely! HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! **Lengthy post because it's Necessary** If you don't want your deposit stolen, don't book an appointment. I've been a customer here for a couple years. Mind you ..almost spend upwards $200 every time I go. About a year ago I booked an appointment for myself and a friend...$150 deposit (half up front x 2.) Things changed in our schedules and I had to cancel. It was like pulling all my teeth out to get MY money (deposit) refunded. Mind you, it's a deposit! Most places ..as long as it's within the window of courtesy, you can get your deposit back..especially for a facial. Going back and forth with them, after about a month, I was finally refunded. This place wants HALF upfront- ( FYI, the cheapest facial is $125) BUT doesn't want to refund, if by chance you have to cancel your appointment. Fast fwd, a year later...against my better judgement, I was in ATL and returned for a self-care day. Spent another $150+ and was convinced to book an appointment for a month out ( because the esthetician I always booked with told me she fills up fast.) I told her I no longer resided in GA - wasn't sure I'd still be in town, but just in case, went ahead and secured a day with my $75 deposit. Immediately, once I learned I wasn't going to be able to make it, I cancelled TWO weeks in advance. More than enough time for another customer to have the slot. In most cases, dealing with a PROFESSIONAL business...your deposit is released upon cancellation as long as it's within a reasonable time-frame. Not these folk, I had to email them TWO weeks post cancellation, requesting for my deposit to be released. Get this, they replied sending me a link to their policy stating all deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. You can get a credit for the store ( where they inflate the hell out of the product prices) or use the deposit for a future appointment. They are forcing you to spend the money with them. Considering, I received a refund prior...it would've been nice to be notified of this "policy" change. Customer courtesy email, automated text, something! But, go figure, too much like professional. Even when she convinced me to book in person after my last facial, she should have told me about the "policy change." Had I known, I would have never booked, knowing I might be leaving Atlanta to return home, and wouldn't be able to get my deposit back. They know, as an existing customer for years...nobody is checking that site for policy updates. Especially when you go through the actual esthetician to book your appointment. On top of that...what legit business is out here keeping $75+ deposits ...when you cancel in plenty enough time for them to fill the slot. So if you're human, and things change in your schedule + you don't have $75 to just GIVE AWAY to a FACIAL "business" - be cautious...they think it's their due to KEEP YOUR FUNDS. WHO wants to be stressed out over a facial appointment ?!? They'd rather lose a customer than do right and refund a deposit. Nobody answers the phone during listed business hours, days to return emails, only to keep your money. Beyond UNPROFESSIONAL. I have been waiting to get a facial from Flesh for a long time and I started having breakouts so I decided to bite the bullet. To reserve the service, there is a $75 deposit. Fine. I don't like that you don't get to choose your service upfront, you have to come into their studio, consult, and go from there. Parking is a headache so if you do intend on trying this out, allot 15 mins extra to find a spot. The aesthetician was Erica. Jewel no longer takes new clients or non celebs I guess because she's too big now...so I did not get to experience her work which is fine, however, I spent $175 for the most basic facial I can think of. I've had several facials in different states from different spas for way less that used the same technique or a better technique for less. For me to feel like $175 on a facial is not wasted, I need tools used, I need expensive products, I need to be comfortable, etc. The room was cold. Bed not heated. I had no top on the entire service because I didn't think to put it back on nor did she say, hey, I'm won't be doing your chest you don't have to lay topless. I was not offered a blanket, or to go ahead and put my top back on after photos. I would have gotten dressed if I knew I was just going to be cold and exposed the entire service. Extractions were by hand nothing life changing, there where areas I wanted extracted that were passed over, and overall I feel very disappointed. I feel like I wasted a lot of money that could have been used elsewhere. It was basic to say the least. I wanted to be wowed and happy leaving as Jewel is so highly recommended. I figured anyone working under her would be great, I'll never know. I had they Age refining $150 facial and I tipped $20, instead of 20% which was still more than needed. Very disappointed. It honestly was comparable to my Massage Envy $50 1 hour facial, and at least she used a DERMAPORE Ultrasonic Pore Extractor and had a heated bed. I can do cleansers, scrubs, and hand extractions at home. It's not worth it. read more

I visited Flesh Skin in March after several conversations with my main esthetician in NYC. She strongly suggested I try this day spa when I was unable to get to her. and boy was she spot on! I truly appreciated the wholistic approach to skin care on top of the special attention to a nasty break out I was experiencing at the time. The space was clean and serene. The esthetician took her time to explain every single step to me while she was working. The product recommendations were also very helpful and proved to be effective. I have been coming here for a year and have finally decided to do a review because I have reaped the benefits and would love to share. I came in with severe acne on my cheeks and jawline and began seeing Jewel last summer. I was told that my breakouts should stop but to be transparent with you I initially broke out like crazy. But I was willing to continue to go because I believe only with consistency will you see change and I was already over trying different products. I told myself I was willing to INVEST in my skin because I was cheating myself trying to cut corners with Hand & Stone facials or groupon deals etc. Also, unlike everyone else Jewel took her time to talk about things other than products but lifestyle changes. Jewel took her time to explain to me dietary and lifestyle concerns that could be causing my breakouts versus just trying a bunch of products to see what would work like other places I've been. My spirit was like yeahhh keep going. It took 3 facials (4-6 weeks in between) for my skin to truly clear up and my life hasn't been the same since. I have so much more confidence than before. You know it's real when your Haitian parents compliment you on how your skin looks (they are ruthless). I still do get occasional breakouts but now I am equipped with the tools in order for it not to get out of hand. There is a lot of self discipline required if you truly want a change and I appreciate Jewel for holding me accountable. I have now moved off of Jewel's schedule to her other therapists in order to give other people a chance to tackle something so important. I was burned by the Glow microdermabrasion and no one has responded to my concern. I am seeking a refund of my deposit that I used to apply to my next appointment (before I realized I was burned I made it) and also waiting on my astringent to be delivered. Jewels did not perform my facial, Shernay did and although she had a pleasant demeanor she has just been unresponsive to my calls, text and email. I have no clue how to rectify my skin as it looks WORSE than when I came and this was and will be my first and last facial at the studio. read more

Hi. I just want to say that I love your products so much! I orders the bar soap and the toner for oily skin and it is amazing. The bar soap is not harsh on my skin at all and it does not dry my skin out. My absolute favorite product is the toner. It's so refreshing and it makes my skin feel fresh and skin after use. I love the feeling of my skin being able to breathe. I've never used any products with burdock in it but it has change my skin care routine forever. My acne scars are fading and my acne is slowly subsiding. Thank for having such amazing products for people that have struggled with their skin for years since high school, people that are not able to afford facials on an on going basis but still want to take care of their skin, people like me! Customer service is terrible. I purchased a product on 4/10/19 and as of today 4/24/19 I am still waiting on tracking information. I have been told twice by phone it would be going out the date of the call (4/17/19, and 4/24/19) and still NO tracking information. This has been the absolute worst experience of my life (no, really)! I received a chemical peel from Jewel on April 21st which resulted in severely discolored skin and a rash of pimples on my entire face. I've received numerous chemical peels in the past (at least 15) and have never experienced any type of reaction like this. I initially noticed something was wrong the very next day, as the rash started on my cheeks first. I contacted Jewel via text message and was told that it would subside in a week and to keep putting aloe on it. Wednesday rolls around and not only has it gotten worse but my face was completely inflamed and burning and itching. I called and text Jewel that day and received no answer or reply. On Thursday it had gotten so bad that I was forced to check myself into the ER. A 200$ visit that only resulted in them giving me medication to stop the itching and burning. At this point I am absolutely livid and feeling helpless so I ended up driving to her studio to get some help. I get there and she's servicing another patient (victim) and asks me to return later that day. I come back later and basically she tries to downplay the severity of the disaster that is now my face, and tells me again that all of it will eventually peel away. Yes, the rash of PIMPLES and burnt marks were supposed to "peel away". Well a whole week and a day later and my face is a burnt, discolored, bumpy mess. Keep in mind I had NO active pimples on my face before the peel, as Jewel herself will tell you that she does not do peels unless the skin is completely smooth. My face looks absolutely horrible, and that's putting it lightly. This has been the most emotionally draining experience ever.....I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I refuse to leave my house unless absolutely necessary and even then I must wear a hat to at least cover my forehead which happens to be the darkest area of my face now. I'll be seeing a dermatologist this week to try and correct this disaster that she caused. Do yourself a favor and go to a dermatologist or a real aesthetician who works in a medical office(as I was doing before I moved to Georgia). read more

I purchased a antiaging facial 125 and 150 worth of products from her and gave a tip the first visit second visit was a ferulic acid peel at 200 bucks I mentioned I needed extractions none done so I am thinking Peel will fix it . She gave me samples to try tried the samples massive breakout , no results from 200 dollar peel either sent in pictures she was like okay it was samples let it heel . These bumps started hurting a few days later so I reached out to dermatologist and aesthetician to help fix problem because I only got let it heal no call if abc does not happen no instructions. Long story short in only two visits I paid Jewel $472 and my face worse than when I came in and now I am paying someone else to help fix it. I will say I love the organic skin care that I bought from her and I now purchase that from the owner . Long post alert.....This is by far the best my skin has ever looked!! I am 34 years-old and have struggled with acne and blemishes ever since I was a teenager. My confidence has suffered drastically over the years and Jewel has changed all of that. It used to be torture for me to go anywhere that sold makeup, did eyebrows or lashes, or sold any product that would draw attention to my face because the conversation always started with "what do you use on your face to help with your acne?". I'm sure these people were only trying to help but it would always crush my self-esteem that much more because it confirmed that my acne was as visible as I feared it was. Over the years I have tried so many suggestions including but not limited to black soap, Proactive, Retina-A, Accutane, antibiotics, countless creams, birth control, physical tools, facials by other aestheticians and nothing worked. When I heard about Jewel, I was hesitant because I had already spent so much money on what I felt was a never-ending battle to just be happy with my skin like normal people. Then I went on her IG page and saw the before/after pictures and decided to at least do the consultation and see if the conversation sounded any different. Immediately, I was excited all over again as we discussed my diet and how she could have me with clear skin within a few months using her products and staying consistent with facials. I decided to give it a try, seeing as I had already spent so much money with other techniques that didn't even consider foods I was eating and didn't take a holistic approach to my skin. Disappointing experience. I'm very particular when it comes to facials. Jewel was highly recommended to me. I did some research and was impressed and scheduled an appointment with Jewel. I was asked to pay a $50 deposit to secure my appointment. I received a confirmation email confirming my appointment with Jewel. When I arrived for my facial I was greeted by someone other than Jewel and advised that she would be doing my facial. This persons work area was not in a secluded room like Jewel's area. Her work area was a makeshift corner of the waiting area sectioned off by a few see thru white sheets. I was told to disrobe from the waste up and given a linty beauty store bonnet and an old looking towel/wrap to put on. The hot towels used on my face had an unpleasant odor. My facial was mediocre and not what I would expect for $95. read more
