Had dinner last night in the bar, the food was MARVELOUS . Saying that , I would like to give a big shout out to our server ( HUNTER ). We've always ate in the restaurant area and have had outstanding service, but never have had service at Flemings like we did with Hunter last night. If someone ever needs to be promoted to the dining area it should be Hunter. Do not let this one get away as he is the consummate professional. We will be back. My friend and I visited the week before last to celebrate a career accomplishment. Upon arrival, we checked in, as we had a reservation. The young lady said she'd be back with us in a couple of minutes. Then, she came around the counter and called my name to take us to the table, like she forgot who I was. We ordered from the Tomahawk Tuesday menu. We both asked for Caesar salads and shared asparagus and lobster macaroni and cheese. Our steak was tough. It's a large amount to share and we had some left over but neither of us wanted the leftovers. The sauce for the macaroni and cheese was kind of watery and I didn't taste any lobster. The asparagus was actually very good. The salads were mediocre. My friend asked for some butter sauce for his steak. The gentleman brought him A-1. When our main waitress returned, he was given three types of sauce. For dessert, my friend ordered carrot cake and I ordered the chocolate gooey butter cake. The carrot cake was scrumptious but my dessert tasted like a frozen dessert that was thawed for the evening. We were very underwhelmed for a $150 meal and I've since heard from several people how disappointed they've been with the restaurant. The service wasn't great and the food wasn't good. We both agreed we'd rather have gone to Longhorn. My suggestion is for you to not waste you're money here. read more

Loved the tender New Zealand lamb chops And Seasonal salad. My friends took advantage of the Happy hour crab cakes. The Elouan Pinot Noir was okay. Be aware the sounds bounces off the wooden walls and floor so it is noisy in the bar area. read more

This was my first time ever at flemings. And we went for a special occasion too! The atmosphere inside was beautiful, elegant, and clean. We got sat and ate some delicious bread with some of their home made Cabernet butter which I took home with me! Our servers name was Micah N. He Made our entire experience amazing. Regardless of my Lobster Mac and Cheese being VERY VERY cold when I first got it served. I was sooooo disappointed because that's why I went there. So I told Micah, and his manager remade it for me by placing it in the broiler (my assumption) because when it was returned to me, it was excessively hot that the flavor was defeated. The manager ended up comping it for me, for that reason I just didn't care to complain about it... but I wish I had it remade and it was a fresh Mac and cheese instead of it being reheated into a broiler... regardless of that, the only reason why I have 5 stars is because of the excellent service Micah gave us. Towards the end of our dinner, he gave us some truffles to take home too. Sometimes no matter how rough the experience can be with the food... if you are given great service by your server, you can still leave with a smile on your face. We left with a smile on our face thanks to Micah! Do I plan to return? Yes... but not for the Lobster Mac and cheese anymore. I think I would return for the Flemings Potato's that Was recommended. They are amazing! read more

Consistent. This is my go to steak house when I want to just have a good meal good ambiance and I don't feel like cooking at home.

Great service. Loved the new sourdough bread, a fresh loaf of which was included with our leftovers. Sweet potatoes were undercooked, so Matt (our server) took it backed and brought a fresh order. A manager stopped by to ask if we were happy. It's very expensive to dine at Flemings, but we enjoy each experience, so we keep going back. read more

Jose was our wait person for a second time. He is awesome...on top of everything, all the time. If I owned a restaurant, I would hire him. As regards management, it has to be outstanding right now...everything works all the time. Food is excellent, and I request the Foothills room (as I enjoy the quiet ambiance there) and so far always get it. I live in Oro Valley, and Fleming's is my first choice for a steakhouse when dining out. I noticed a comment about the steak on another review...my husband has been in the cattle business his entire career...he's known for his skill in cooking beef when we entertain--and he always is impressed by the steak at Fleming's. If you are craving beef and don't mind paying for a top-notch experience, you can't go wrong with Fleming's. read more

Not a cheap restaurant for sure but hey we don't come here every month you know. Come here for the steak and seafood, but the star is the onion red wine infused cream cheese for the sourdough bread, nothing taste like it anywhere. The filet mignon is very good and the lobster is good too, just skip the butter although it is served very elegantly on a heated bowl. The ceaser and wedge salad are also evidently not the cheap type. Have to get some type of red wine if you are to eat a fancy carne meat right. The scalloped potatoes are very good too . The gigantic onion rings are scrumptious but greasy. Get the carrot cake for desert. read more

Cannot say enough about this place. From our host Matt, (who says he wakes up everyday and his job is to make 70 year old women happy), to our server Christian and her helper Austin, who went out of their way to make sure everything was correct. Our meal was excellent, everything was done perfectly. Will be bringing friends back here to let them enjoy the great service and food. Gerri and Dennis Rasinski read more

My husband and I came because we were celebrating our when your anniversary, I should've been more hesitant in the beginning when hostess gave us attitude. But we proceed to sit down and enjoy a nice meal, a lot of people had told me that it was a wonderful place to have luxury steaks( I called them liar) the side dishes were better than the actual steak! My husband ordered medium and they gave it him raw when that waitress asked if we needed anything we brought it up to her attention she just shrugged and walked away and brought us our check. I wouldn't go back, they really need to go back to basics. read more

Went to Fleming's last week only to be left disappointed and hungry. I ordered the filet medium and it came VERY RARE. No waiter or waitress around when everyone was eating. I tried eating the sides that were cooked. When I finally saw the waiter and showed him my steak he only said sorry. I know everyone was done eating at that point but I obviously couldn't eat my steak. I ended up taking it home to cook it for breakfast. I expected better service. read more

We went here for our 10 year anniversary. It was recommended by a friend who knew staff/owner. Absolutely nothing was missed. Each and every member of their team was flawless much like the excellent food. Their attention to detail and teamwork is 100% The wine that was recommended couldn't have been better. I ordered and perfectly cooked and seasoned Ribeye and my girlfriend had an excellent Strip. It's no secret but that Fleming's is a pricey date. But, it's fine dining, and the experience coupled with the food makes it well worth a celebration. We did share a creme brûlée that was probably the best I have had. The torched sugar on top was amazing. We will return. read more

We got married and this was our first dinner after wedding! I waited several days to write this review because, I was walking a tightrope between two and three and stars. If I was given the option I likely would give them 2.5 Stars. So, I only landed on three stars, I hope my review sheds light on why they were not a perfect 5. Firstly, let's start with the people the hostess was pleasant funny and congratulated us on our big day. It was a great start to walking through the door. We only waited for a few minutes and we were taken to our table where we find a congratulations card. That was a huge touch. Next, here came who I believe was the waiter assistant. He dropped off bread and there were two rolls in a cracker and butter. We simply ask him what was in the butter and to tell us what type of breads and the cracker that we've received. He was holding another basket of bread so I'm assuming he was trying to get to another table. He said your waitress will be around shortly and he was off. So, we were left to explore the Bread Basket and it was later determined the butter was infused with a Chardonnay and we received a white roll a raisin roll and their special cracker with seasoning. The bread was okay it wasn't warm and it was quite hard so it wasn't anything to write home about but the infused butter was quite good. Next, here comes the menus and everything on the menu you order your protein and the side separately that includes starters like salads and soups. They basically had three or four cuts of me in different sizes sirloin, filet mignon, and ribeye and possibly a T-bone if I remember correctly. They eat started around $55 and go all the way up to nearly $100. We did not have sticker shock we were expecting to pay to have really great steaks. The waitress was very awkward to deal with and when you would ask her a question it would almost feel like she was treating you like a kid. I asked her a simple question which steak did she prefer. Instead of Simply answering the question and maybe telling me why she likes that steak, she decided to educate us, explaining what a ribeye is compared to the other three options. It took her it took her nearly 8 to 10 minutes to explain something we both already understood. It wasn't that she took the time to explain it it was the way she explained it as if she was explaining state to a third grade class. She decided to also explain temperatures. I digress. So, we both decided on the filet mignon I ordered my steak medium rare and my husband ordered his steak medium well. My steak was perfectly cooked. However, my husband steak was basically exactly like mine. So, my fiance does not like medium rare and so I asked if there was any type of sauce he could dip it in. She basically about fell off the side of her horse. She said I guess I could bring you a peppercorn sauce. We apparently committed the ultimate sin by asking for something that dip is undercooked steak in. We initially asked if she could cook it a little longer. She said that once it was served at cannot go back on the grill. The peppercorn sauce that she brought was like a cooking agent it was really it was not a dipping sauce. I enjoyed my steak however it did lack flavor. This really did affect our night. We also started with a salad and a french onion which both were very enjoyable and we added a side of macaroni and cheese which also was very good. So, the sides were fantastic and the meat was not cooked properly and lacked flavor. We have eaten at Michelin star steak houses around the world and just all-around great steakhouses we understand a good steak. The waiters Behavior made us wanting to get out of there as quick as possible. We ended up spending nearly $200 and left feeling very disappointed. The ironic portion of this was we were intending to go back 3 days later to have dinner with her family and decided to go elsewhere. I wish this review was different and we would have really enjoyed our wedding dinner. We just didn't. It would have been nice if the restaurant would have taken responsibility when finding out that we did not believe the steak was cooked properly and fixing it. So, we basically just consider this a lost $200. Based on this experience I would not recommend this place. read more

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar - After dinner they brought us congratulatory truffles. - Steakhouses Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Last night I was very disappointed in the food, which made paying the high price twice as disappointing. Our dinner was over $200. Prime Bone-In Ribeye (Cooked Medium): It was cooked properly but lacked flavor, and the meat was tough, causing the need to saw at it with a steak knife just to cut a piece to eat. Not enjoyable wasn't even able to eat more than 3 or 4 small pieces. Double Breast of Chicken: Interestingly enough, the chicken mimicked our ribeye as it lacked flavor and was also dry! Fleming's Potatoes: The potatoes were dry, and the flavor was bland that barely tasted of cheese. North Atlantic Lobster Mac & Cheese: The Mac & Cheese was mediocre, but adding lobster was a great idea. North Atlantic Lobster Mashed Potatoes: Tasty; again, adding lobster was a great idea. Crab Cakes: Very delicious!! Carrot Cake: It was utterly satisfying. I would recommend it! Flemings have always been my go-to place for super special occasions. Unfortunately, the last two times were unsatisfactory, and I was hoping the first bad experience was a fluke, but it seems like it might be a new trend. I doubt I'll be visiting any time soon. read more

After reading the reviews we decided to celebrate our anniversary here. Bottom line - it was perfect. The service we received from Alicia and Keith was outstanding. It is the little details that make an experience special and there were many - black or white napkins, a card wishing us a happy anniversary, cold salad forks, water and wine glasses always full, every one we saw wished us a happy anniversary including the manager, gift of chocolate truffles, taking our valet ticket to get the car as we paid the bill. Of course all the above would be for not if the food was not great - no worries it was. Everything perfectly cooked and served hot. Thanks Flemming's for a wonderful anniversary dinning experience. read more

Flemmings is a staple chain about a half step down from a Capital Grille. I really loved their Duckhorn pairing tasting. Excellent (and consistently excellent) service as well as consistently good food. Make sure to make a reservation as I was last in on a Thursday night and it was absolutely packed. Would not recommend it for those pandemic anxious as there were minimal if not any covid precautions. Would definitely recommend it for that special occasion or business dinner based on the food and service. read more

I was not overly impressed with Fleming's, to be honest. It wasn't bad but I've definitely had better. Nonetheless I enjoyed the food here. I ordered the "small plate" or scallops and shrimp on top of goat cheese grits and spinach. It was pretty good. I really enjoyed the scallops and wish there had been more on the plate! Anyway, I would like to note that this restaurant is known for its steak, so I cannot fully comment on the food. But from what it looked like, the steaks looked nicely prepared and delicious. I also ordered a drink, the "farmer's daughter". It was actually really tasty and kind of crept up on me... Would order again! Overall, I don't think I'd ever go back on my own accord. But I definitely would if invited with others. read more

Great location in the foothills of Tucson. The service is grand and the food is definitely upscale. Although the restaurant is on the high end, Fleming Steakhouse doesn't really stress a dress code. I will absolutely dine here again whenever I'm in the city of Tucson Arizona. read more

Alright! Let's hear it for service! The experience we had was terrific, with one glitch they gleefully fixed (and overcompensated for). Because of Covid, we selected outdoor dining at 5pm. The restaurant now has a small patio. It overlooks the Embassy Suites, sure, but they have a handsome front, so that was fine. But the view of the mountains as the sun went down was amazing. Our server was Randi, and she was the best. Attentive, funny, charming, and warm, Randi ensured our experience was everything you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. But what about the food? We started with drinks (Manhattan for me, prosecco for her, both fantastic) and shared the carpaccio. It was great. The dish was perfectly prepared, and the crustini couldn't be beat. We skipped salads and moved to the entrees and sides. She ordered the filet (medium rare "plus") and I ordered the bone-in ribeye (medium rare). We ordered the Fleming potatoes and the mushrooms as sides. Both were delicious. The steaks? Hers was perfect. Mine, however, came out medium. The steak had turned from being a delicious steak towards being roast beef. Hey, it happens. When I asked Randi for her opinion, she heartily agreed and had the kitchen re-do it. So I shared her filet while we waited for the replacement. They did it in a hurry and it was cooked to perfection. Amazing and delicious. So we noshed on that after her filet, enjoying it with a bottle of Merlot from Napa. (Pricey, but reasonably above retail.) We still had wine left when it came to dessert--the chocolate lava cake. It was fantastic. We ordered a glass of 20-year tawny port to go with it (and the rest of the wine) and it was terrific. Matthew, the manager, came by the table to make sure we were okay with the steak change. Of course we were! And, it turns out, he comped us for our before-dinner drinks, something he simply did not have to do. So I pumped the amount back into the tip because the service was A-One. Flemings is, in my humble opinion, pretty high-end. But if you're willing/able to do it, you get everything you pay for. This was our second visit to this location (third overall) and we could not have been more pleased. Yes, yes, yes! read more

Four adults (three from out-of-town) on Fathers' Day 2024. Had 7pm reservation and were seated right on time. Good start. Ordered Tomahawk steak advertised as 32oz. Probably was, but broke down, in my estimation, as 20 oz of bone, 6 oz of fat and 6 oz of meat. Literally the worst piece of restaurant meat I have ever been served. Hardly enough for two let alone four. Manager came over, saw the fat, and immediately said "I see the problem." She ordered an 8 oz filet mignon to supplement our meal which came about 15 minutes later (we were not charged for this). We also ordered sauteed mushrooms which were very overcooked almost to the point of being burnt. The filet mignon and another NY steak we ordered were cooked to perfection. For such a busy day, the service was excellent. I ordered NY cheesecake for desert and it was huge and excellent. This was our first time at Flemings and I am in no rush to return. read more

"Have frequented this Fleming's since they opened and each time Service get worse and a we don't care attitude prevails. Last night was the worse. Food was mediocre at best but the wait staff was very poor. They never came by to see how things were going or to replenish my coffee. We had to flag down several wait persons till finally ours came over. I asked for more coffee and when he did it was ice cold. Finally, I think a manager came by and we told him. Why I think is because he never introduced himself as such. There were more staff standing around than customers. it's a pity how what was once a fine place with good food has gone down hill. I understand it is difficult to train and keep good staff but this showed a complete lack of customer service. With Every passing year their prices go higher yet quantity of the food gets smaller . Used to go there for special occasions but there is nothing special about them any longer. read more

We just popped in for a quick nosh and a drink . This was a disappointment. They have done away with happy hour and a wedge salad is half the size it used to be . The crab cakes were horrible . They were very salty and filled with onions . Poorly done. Now the SHOCKER - we ordered martinis and a Kettle one martini was $17.00 - yes $17.00. This is ridiculous. Even in some very swankier places it's not that much . We still not be going back any time soon for sure . Management should be looked at if they want the clients to come back . THE GOOD * Great Service, he was kind, attentive, and very enjoyable. He did a good job at making us feel comfortable * Food was great. The Fleming's special potatoes was so yummy. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. It wasn't too buttery, but it wasn't too raw steak-ish either. * The steaks come with special sauces if requested. I suggest order all of them since.... they are all worth tasting * Atmosphere is great. It's romantic, however, the bar is very upbeat and classy. The lights are dim. THE BAD * I don't remember anything not being up to par... I had such a great experience THE WEIRD * He gave us free dessert even though we told him we couldn't stay for dessert! He packed us dessert in this gorgeous box. They treat their customers so well!! I would love to go back and dine here again :) read more

This is the most consistent place for steak you'll get in Tucson. It's a bit pricey, but if you want a great steak and great service, this place will not disappoint. The main dining room is traditional white tablecloth dining for an upscale steakhouse. The bar offers the full menu, but also has separate bar and happy hour menus. The bar has a more casual feel and the happy hour offerings are very good. Prime rib sandwich, burgers, burrata and crispy olives are delicious. The consistency of the food and service is great. On a Thursday night with a hankering for a filet mignon (my once-a-year indulgence), I treated myself at Fleming's Steakhouse at Skyline and Campbell. I like to dine alone when I know I'm going to Yelp someplace - it gives me the space to take good mental notes. I love the décor and ambiance of this place! It's all dark wood (faux mahogany, but nice) in clean, uncluttered lines, done in the Craftsman style of architecture. The booth cushions are black leather and comfy. It's a work of art in the study of indirect lighting. Huge red chandeliers punctuate the main room subtly, and you'd be hard pressed to find a spot where you're staring directly into a light bulb. That's very nice. I chose a booth in the bar, since it was immediately open. Big TVs displayed a basketball game, which I don't like, but the volume was off and instead, I heard strains of Sade' and soft rock. I ordered the large filet mignon ($39), garlic-bleu-cheese mashed potatoes, and a Hefeweizen beer. My glass of Napa Valley Cabernet was placed on hold to come with the meat. My constant companion, the latest Tucson Weekly, opened before me and I pleasantly passed twenty minutes. One observation that was unnerving once I dragged it kicking and screaming into my consciousness was the lack of ethnic diversity of the clientele. At least they were well dressed (take note, Gavi's customers), but in a busy restaurant with at least 200 diners, I didn't see one African-American, Asian, or even a Hispanic. Seriously - the place looks like a German Lutheran coffee klatsch. Now, you could explain this by saying, "white people have all the money, and it's an expensive restaurant in the Foothills, where mostly white people live," or you could say, "Fleming's doesn't advertise south of River Road," or "blacks and Asians and Hispanics don't eat meat," or whatever. That's all nonsense. I can't explain the phenomenon, but suffice to say - if you feel uneasy eating your steak around anybody with a tan darker than a snow drift, Fleming's is your Mecca. This isn't the restaurant's fault, of course. They can't throw people out saying, "you look like Andy Griffith - we don't serve your kind here." If they did, they'd go broke. But I always feel uneasy in a place full of my fellow Whiteys. It feels like a subtle, indirect hate crime. Like the Aryan Nation is the elephant in the room. Like I and a black girlfriend would get turned away at the door. It makes me wonder where "the back of the bus" is in a restaurant. I don't think they serve Wonder Bread at Fleming's, but they should. It would be their best seller. Back to the food and the service! The steak was amazing and perfectly cooked. The garlic-bleu-cheese mashed potatoes and béarnaise sauce were divine. The recommended Cabernet was a perfect pairing for the steak. Lauren, my server, was cheerful, prompt and professional, yet relaxed. The tab? $69 (without tip) for a steak, mashed potatoes, a glass of wine and a beer, so it's not cheap. But it's a damn fine restaurant. If you've got a special occasion and two C-notes to drop on you and your date, you can't go wrong. Now they just need to get George Howard's funk band to play in the bar. 5 stars. read more

I have frequented the Chandler Flemings location many times, and the Tucson location also did not disappoint. Tonight, we celebrated our anniversary. We ordered a bottle of French pinot noir. The bread and butter were delicious. We ordered the house salad and it was good. It came with candied walnuts, dried cranberries, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and a vinaigrette. I ordered the filet as my entree and my boyfriend ordered the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly as ordered and literally melted in our mouths. The potatoes were also creamy and delicious. For dessert, we had my favorite: creme Brulee! Although I also recommend the chocolate lava cake. Special occasions are best spent at Flemings. Consistently perfected service by all staff members and some of the best steak dinners.
