I am writing this review of Fleet Fleet to showcase the unprofessional, illegal practices occurring under direction of franchise owner, Lori Borer. I have attempted to file a formal complaint through the BBB, EEOC, Nebraska Human Rights, and ADEA. Unfortunately, due to the laws currently in place in Nebraska, I will not be able to file a formal complaint. I also emailed corporate headquarters. They have failed to respond. The following event occurred between myself, Fleet Fleet Lincoln & Omaha owner, Lori Borer, and Omaha store manager, Sarah Madsen. On July 15, 2020, I had an interview at 2:30pm for a marketing manager position at the Fleet Fleet Omaha store. I met with Borer for 30 minutes, during which time Borer covered the job responsibilities and introduced me to the marketing manager, Kalan Dahir, over Facetime. After meeting in the office, I toured the sales floor with Borer. On the sales floor Borer introduced me to Madsen. During my time with Madsen, Borer explicitly asked me, "how old are you?" To which I honestly responded. I felt morally obligated to give an honest answer because Borer is the owner. According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEOC), questions regarding an applicant's age are illegal. I do not feel that I was given a fair interview because immediately following the disclosure of my age, Borer and Madsen referred to me as "so young." Borer also failed to follow-up over email. Borer agreed to provide me Dahir's contact information should I have additional questions about the position. Borer also failed to notify me when the job had been filled. I requested HQ train Lori Borer regarding legal interview practices. Headquarters has failed to communicate any improvements. This lack of action can only be considered supporting illegal interview practices. I believe as a member of the workforce, it is my personal responsibility to ensure that I, and future applicants, be given a fair interview. read more

Red Dirt Running is an awesome store and we are lucky to have them in Omaha! I came here after trying to venture out of The Sports Authority or Scheel's. Scheel's prices are outrageous and The Sports Authority employees aren't the most knowledgable. Here at Red Dirt they know exactly what they are talking about. I recently stated to get more into running. I knew next to nothing about running shoes or form or running related injuries. I came in to get a new pair of shoes and found that I was running in a type of shoe that was unnecessary for me. They carry a large variety of brands and prices, though only from the best. I'm talking Nike, Adidas, Saucony, Mizuno, Brooks, Asics, you get the idea. I ended up leaving with a pair of Brooks that are leaps and bounds better than any shoes I've worn before. I also figured out I should be wearing a wide size (which is why I now have a large callus on my left foot). They put you through an entire fitting process where they determine size/type of shoe. I was also able to talk to them about several running related pains/injuries I was experiencing. They were helpful and knowledgeable but still recommended I see a physical therapist. I'm glad they will try and help you with your problems but admit they don't know enough to diagnose anything! I'll keep coming back any time I have running related needs! read more

My husband and I went here, based on the yelp review and location of the store, because I was tired of spending the money for walking/running shoes, only to have them still hurt my feet. Red Dirt Running, did an analysis and fitted us both for new tennis shoes based on our needs. For the same price that I would have spent at any average shoe store, we got a pair of name brand shoes that properly fit and support our feet. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, happy to help no matter what stage you are in, walking, running, marathons etc. Give them a shot! read more

My letter to the owner: "Mr. Jorgenson, I'm ashamed it took me so long to send this email; but, this week I stopped in and met Jeff and Cassie at you store in Legacy, off West Center. For a VERY long time I have been searching for customer service like I found there...both of your staff met AND exceeded expectations - I was FINALLY able to satisfy some requirements I haven't discovered solutions for anyplace else in your trade. Jeff greeted me and offered immediate assistance to find what I was looking for. He listened to my concerns, thought a bit, then handed me a shoe to consider - one of a few I looked at, coincidentally the one I chose to buy - evidence he was spot on right from the start. Your treadmill recording was a reassuring aspect of my purchase experience, something I've never seen locally before. When I began to ask other questions that Jeff was uncertain about he leveraged Cassie's insights to fill in the details - great team work - zero "pro" egos, honest answers and none of the "Oh THAT (my question(s)!!!) doesn't make sense/matter" attitude...like I found at another shoe store. Both of your staff took great care to assure me my interests were valid AND worth their best answers. I actually left with way more stuff than I intended to buy; often that disappoints me, feeling like I shouldn't have spent my money so frivolously...not the case this time - I was proud to leave your store with a fond memory of nice service, great products to use, and the thrill of FIRST CLASS buying experience. I intend on sharing my perspectives with everyone else I know that are interested in the types of resources you offer - being a military professional means that plenty will ask!! Lincoln location not listed yet. I stood in there with the owner or manager telling me "I'll be with you in just a minute" all the while everyone else around me kept getting helped. She even helped a group of 3 women who came in 15 minutes after me again walking by me and saying for about the 4th time "I'll be with you in just a minute". Finally I just walked out in fact I walked right by you and you didn't say a word. You were not that busy and your employees working for you. Even the other employees did not come up and ask "can I help who is next" they would just start talking to someone. Some people need to get it out of their head that this place is trying to go for a foot locker or champs feel. It's not. Not by a long shot. The inventory is entirely sufficient based on the clientele. The staff will take the time to talk with you about what your goals are, perform a GAIT Analysis, and give recommendations on which shoes are going to work best for your stride based on foot roll and where your foot strikes. Super helpful! I ran today in the shoes I purchased and they feel much more natural/functional and I even cut 40 seconds off my 2 mile time...I know my new shoes are going to help me reach my goals faster as well as minimize injury potential.
