My toddler is starting dance this fall and needed a few things. We decided to make our way to Bobby's Dancewear to find what we needed. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately and asked what we were looking for. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. All three employees made us feel valued and wanted us to leave happy with exactly what we needed. I was really impressed with the selection at Bobby's. They have everything you could possibly need! The overall store and fitting rooms were very clean and well organized. We ended up grabbing a wrap and some new ballet shoes (my toddler is somewhat in-between sizes otherwise we would've grabbed a couple of leotards as well)! Pricing at Bobby's is fairly standard for the brands they carry. Lots of Capezio and Bloch for the dance wear (great brands). We also forgot our 15% off coupon from our studio and they still honored the discount for us. We felt so welcomed and taken care of during our visit to Bobby's Dancewear. I popped in to purchase men's tap shoes. They have a few styles in stock. I went for the less expensive ones at only $43. She had to run into the back several times to make sure I got the right fit. It was easy and fast. She didn't make me feel like the total amateur I really am. I appreciated her professionalism and courteousness. read more

We have shopped at Bobby's Dancewear for years, and we have always loved going there because everyone is very helpful and we always find exactly what we need. Plus I am a big believer of shopping locally and supporting small businesses, even though I could buy some of the very same things I purchase there online much cheaper. I am super sad to report that today I had to return a pair of brand new tights that my daughter wore one time, and after wearing one time the bottom leg unraveled. At the time of purchase I did tell them I didn't need a receipt because we've never had a problem before and I wasn't worried about it-bad mistake on my end. So low and behold my loyalty and trust for this store failed... They told me that because she wore them one time and I didn't have my receipt there was nothing they could do, not even exchange them. Melissa, the owner of Bobby's, was amazing helping us find a pair of dance shorts in a time crunch for our end-of-year gymnastics showcase. Bobby's dance wear is a nice little shop that has a very large selection of dance wear. I also think they sell clothing for ice skating and gymnastics too, but we only go there for dance. They always have everything we need and we never have to wait for anything to be ordered. The people who work there are knowledgeable and helpful too! Recently we went there to get my daughter fitted for pointe shoes and that experience was wonderful! The girl who was helping us was definitely an expert in fitting pointe shoes on dancers! She knew every question to ask in order to get the right shoe for my daughter as well as the right accessories that go with it. Bobbies has punch cards for tights and a tracking sheet for pointe shoes and you get discounts when they are filled! Also, sometimes Bobbies gives your dance studio coupons to use, which is always useful! read more

I try to support local businesses and so we went to Bobby's to get my son and daughter's tap shoes yesterday in Omaha. The woman who helped us was not friendly at all and gave us the wrong information about their tap shoes from the start. My son - 8 and daughter - 3 were with me. I told her they both needed a pair of tap shoes. Did they have wide ones? She said yes. However, when they tried on the tap shoes my son said they were tight I asked the woman helping us if those were a wide shoes. She said no we don't have those in wide. What did I just not ask her if they had wide tap shoes? I told her we would take my daughter's shoes but not my son's. Without a further word from her she took my daughter's up to the front. Not another word was said to me. Rude. I went home and ordered my son shoes from the Capezio's website directly. They were the same price and right now the shipping is free (back to school special).
