Arrived Sat around 10:40am a few customers inside and plenty of staff around 4-5 I walked in and shortly after looking around was greeted. The sales rep measured my feet and after a few questions to determine what I needed the shoes for the rep came up with 2 choices for the brand I was looking for Hoka The Clifton 9 and the Bondi 8 The Clifton9 is soft and pillow like feel and the Bondi 8 was a little firmer. I choose the Clifton 9 after trying both on a few times and walking around the store. These will be my work shoes as I stand and walk a lot. The rep recommended these since that is why I was buying shoes. I recommend this place as the rep was helpful and not pushy or in a hurry and answered all my questions and was super helpful. Price was not too bad either as I look as it is an investment in my foot health and comfort. read more

I have been doing business with Fleet Feet for about 4 years now. This is a real runners store and with several Houston locations makes shopping with them easy. Their sales associates are knowledgeable about running and the importance of wearing the proper shoes. They will do a free analysis of your feet, stride, etc. using a machine they have to make sure you buy the right type of shoe for YOU. Finally their prices are competitive and they have a rewards program to help lower your purchase price. A month ago, I visited this store to get a new pair of New Balance 860's and was waited on promptly and professionally. They had a good selection of colors and provided excellent customer service. So I was struggling with calf pain when I was running in my Hoka Bondi 8s and heavy cushion sketchers & I needed a better shoe. Although the guy who helped me has 0 personality, he did get me an amazing shoe after my foot scan & I haven't had any pain since! So for finding good shoes it's a 10/10 for me. Patrones this business due to a foot injury I had. My podiatrist recommended I buy a pair of Hoka Rocker style bottom shoes (preferably the Bondi). Came to fleet feet to get fitted. The sales associate was very helpful. I got fitted and tried on various shoes and she even brought out different colors once I narrowed it down to one style. The cost was $165 ish. Which is to be expected and cheaper than some of my other sneakers. I've had them for almost two months and the paid I had been experiencing has subsided (although not completely gone). My wife and I were recently in this store, looking forward to getting her some new running shoes. It was a disappointing experience to say the least. Comically lazy sales staff. 4 employees hovering around the registers. The one employee who did somewhat help, we felt like we had to beg to bring shoes from the back. After the second time bringing back one pair at a time, both of which were either the wrong shoe or the wrong size, we left. Crazy because probably would have also bought other things. Walked in with high expectations on customer service only to be disappointed. The first time I ever visited was years back for my first pair of Hoka running shoes. It was a different location that I believe was moved to the vintage park shopping center. Back then when I walked in they measured my feet and assisted me in the best way possible. Moving forward this past weekend I visited the vintage park store and they were moderately busy. Some older lady came to talk to me, but was ultimately no help at all......did not care to knowledge me on the shoes nor ask the right questions. When I did ask a question I didn't even an answer. I could've just honestly went ONLINE and did my own research. This is why online shopping is the future now because retail associates are pretty much useless unless they feel like really doing their job. What a disappointment. Do better Fleet Fleet! read more

I've been running for years, though I'm currently taking a break because, hey, I'm tired. Whenever I've put a couple hundred miles on my ASICS though, it's time to switch them out and wear them for yard work instead. Fleet Feet employees do a great job of confirming the tread is evenly worn and the shoe is fitting me well. They'll be honest with how a shoe fits on you and they'll offer lots of advice and insight when trying new running shoes. I also like to get my all-time favorite running socks from Fleet Feet too. Balega socks are the bomb! Never run without them. It's just nice to go into a place where people know what they're talking about, are personable, honest, and genuinely interested in helping you find the best running shoe for YOU! I went in and had to return my hoka shoes 3 times. I understand that this is not their fault. What I do not understand is why they said I cannot return them anymore ever when they have a 60 day warranty. First pair I had for 12 days and second pair I had for 3 days. When I went back they said I cannot return them anymore and one young lady was very rude to me. I love the store and the hokas are super comfortable. I decided to take up running lately and decided to finally buy a nice pair of running shoes. I found this Fleet Feet on Yelp and they took excellent care of me. They used their foot scanning tool to get a good measurement of my feet and recommend a pair of shoes to meet my needs. I wound up with a pair of Hoka's and couldn't be happier. They're by far the best fitting, best cushioned athletic shoe I've ever owned. In the past I'd buy whatever addidas or nike that was on sale, but I'm now convinced that it is actually worth the extra money that a quality shoe costs even over the other name brand's. I think their prices are competitive on the brands they sell and there is a large amount of value in being properly fitted for almost any piece of athletic gear. Pros: selection of excellent running shoes and return/exchange policy. Cons: staff measure your feet with the "ifit" system but don't really explain how it works or which shoes are best for your feet. I asked for a copy of my measurements but the young man who helped me wasn't able to send it to me and ended up fidgeting with the iPad while I stood there and waited. Ended up returning the first pair and did the fit measurements again, with different results. Overall- good place to go if you already know what you want to buy, otherwise you'll just end up trying on a ton of shoes and leave kind of confused. read more

Walking inside the store we were on a mission to find the perfect fit of Brooks shoes to replace the current ones my Mom had. Eric, was amazing in his expertise and willingness to listen and recommend the best fit for her needs. After the foot assessment they explain what they see and show you the selection of shoes that will address your specific foot profile. My son had major foot surgery and got a pair of shoes that actually made his feet feel better which we didn't think would be possible. Bad experience at Houston/Louetta store today. We have been shopping here for running shoes for my twin daughters for about 5 years now. We always walk out spending a lot. Thus, we expect and appreciate good customer service. Last week we purchased 2 pairs of shoes. One pair was available in-store, and the other pair purchased, but to be delivered to our home from another store. I called on the status of the shoes to be delivered, today, and turns out THEY WERE NEVER ORDERED. The person I spoke to by phone was unfortunately clueless and I had to walk her through everything. Yet, we have a FF account that she can pull up and review. She asked her manager for assistance, and in the end...... *They no longer have the shoes we apparently ordered. *The different color options are more expensive, therefore the manger needs to talk to the staff person who made the mistake tomorrow before ordering for us. *I asked for expedited shipping since we've been waiting a week already. They will let me know tomorrow as well. All I want are the shoes I paid for, or another color, but same shoe, obviously, because that's what works for her feet. The call was disorderly, she was confused, they fell short on reconciling the issue, and there was zero urgency to get this issue resolved. I still want the shoes I paid for, but we WILL NOT be purchasing from Fleet Feet again. We have invested too much time and money at this Fleet Feet for them to not have answers or remedy. Sorry Fleet Feet. We're taking our business elsewhere. I will also be sharing our bad experience with the school leads. I bet they can find another store to offer their runners a place to shop, and trust. read more

I went in a few weeks ago to get fitted for new sneakers. I was nervous since I've been fitted at other places and put in shoes that were completely wrong for me. Their machine indicated that I overpronate, which I know is wrong based on my wear pattern (and pains in the wrong shoes). Thankfully, the woman at Fleet Feet watched me walk and noted that the structure of my foot says one thing, but the way I walk says another. She must have brought 10 pairs of shoes out for me to try on. I found a pair I really liked and have put about 30 miles on them so far. I plan to go back in t get my second faves from that fitting so that I can start rotating. On top of the shoe fitting, she helped me with socks and exchange some thoughts on shorts. By far one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. Anywhere. The young lady who assisted me did a gait analysis, measured my feet length and width, and then recommended a style of shoe which would provide me the most comfort. She then brought out several different shoes of that style which met the criteria and worked with me carefully as I tried them on, walked in them, gave her feedback and brought out other shoes based on what I told her. My overall experience here was fantastic! I went on a night that was a really busy, despite the chaos the sweet lady who helped me never forgot about me or the shoes she was selecting for me. They all worked as a team and the environment was pleasing. I never felt rushed to make a decision or made to feel silly if I didn't understand how the shoe wasn't fitting properly. I was referred to this place by a friend. Visited the store on the first of the year and the woman who helped me, Dee, was extremely kind and helpful. I took a foot measurement on the system that they had in the store and she explained the results to me and then suggested a number of shoes that would fit best for my foot shape. This lady came out carrying nearly 9 boxes of shoes for me and my friend, and made 4 or 5 more trips to the back for other sizes/colors once we were down to our final choices. I felt bad every time I needed something different, but she was SO polite about everything and really made us feel like she cared about helping us get the right pair. I really wanted to take the time to thank Bonnie Egbert on amazing customer service and expertise when buying my 2 endorphin Pros this year. I started going to Fleet Feet about 3 years ago as I had a bone fracture on my left foot and was told by my Doctor I needed better shoes. since then fell in love w the customer service, knowledge and available shoes at Fleet Feet. My foot doctor told me I really needed to invest in good shoes if I wanted to continue to run. So I had heard from my neighborhood running club (Coles Crossing) that Bonnie was "the person" to go to, and they were completely right. She helps me know what's available ahead of time so I can spend the least amount shoe shopping. When I go to the store, I try my shoes on (that were selected and put aside ahead of time) and even have a little time to shop around for something extra (this year I got some wireless headphones too). I have been a runner for many years - not a fast runner - but I have purchased more than my fair share of running shoes from many stores all over Texas and Oklahoma. When I moved to Houston a few years ago I was thrilled to find Fleet Feet within just a few miles from me. They are not as large as other Fleet Feet I have been in or as some of their competitors but they still have a great selection of shoes and a decent selection of other running gear. I had been developing some knee pain and wanted to try a few different types of shoes. I can't remember the name of the young man that helped me but I must have tried on 6-7 pairs (Newtons, Asics, Saucony, Nike, Brooks, etc...). I normally know what I want and usually make my selection in about 5 minutes but I wanted to make sure "something different" was going to work. The sales guy never seemed impatient and occasionally one of the other sales people would offer help. I purchased the Newtons that time (I have purchased several other pairs from them since) and felt good about my experience. I would recommend them regardless if you are a long time runner or just getting started. They can meet all your running needs. read more
