The folks at Fleet Feet are top-notch.They make a great argument for buying your running shoes locally instead of online, because they can provide crucial help that you would never get in an online-buying experience. Also, I recently had a reliability issue with a pair of shoes that I had purchased a couple of months ago, and the staff and owner were extremely gracious and helpful in facilitating the return and helping me pick out a replacement pair. Customer service just doesn't get any better than this! read more

This place is great. I just moved to Aptos and several patients recommended Fleet Feet for a great pair of shoes AND a really necessary sizing. Most places don't even know how to measure anymore. Stopped by with my mom who has a really nasty case of plantar fascitis. She needed a really supportive pair of shoes for work (RN--on her feet 12+ hours a day). Marcus measured her foot and she's now a 9.5!!!! She's ALWAYS been an 8. Straight up 8 in EVERY shoe. That was a real eye-opener. We had a few styles in mind, and he told us the ones we picked were all a stabilization style shoe, which is recommended for plantar fascitis. Tried on 3 pairs and landed on a really nice pair of Brooks--which is what I wear for jogging. He suggested an insert, and we were skeptical, but after trying them inside the Brooks, my mom said her foot felt soooo much better with the insert. BONUS!! Great deal, fantastic customer service. We're totally sold, and I'll be going back for my next pair of Brooks :-) Thank you Marcus and Fleet Feet! read more

I went to Fleet Feet last week with the intention of spending any amount of money for my first pair of running shoes in 15 years. Have terrible bunions on both feet which hurt a lot but also I have been very ill since 2000 and was needing some incentive to try and build some strength. I was greeted by a very attentive sales associate ( I'm sorry I forgot your name! ) who measured me and even informed me they'd be willing to sell me two different sizes if I needed it. (who does that?) So I tried on many pairs and picked out the most comfortable pair without asking about the price. Also picked out insoles and a nice pair of socks. Went to pay and for the first time asked how much. Now another associate walks out of the back and says a lot less than it was going to be. What does that mean? She says my boss just gave me this and hands me a paper that says Pay it forward Friday. All-you-- pay for are the insoles and socks and you have to do a nice thing for someone else today!! The shoes were $145!! Probably one of the more expensive shoes in stock. Now in the habit of buying sandwiches for people who look like they need one or ask for one but this is the first time I've experienced pay it forward just to inspire it in others. I've told this story to everyone I know and now I'm posting this because I've never written a review of any kind before and to say thank you to all at Fleet Feet, you are all awesome, inspired and inspiring! These people deserve your business and good karma. read more

I just bought my first pair of real running shoes at Fleet Feet Aptos and it was great! Clare was my salesperson and she was friendly and helpful and made sure I got the shoes that were right for me. I can't wait to run in them tomorrow! I noticed the other employees being very helpful to other customers in the very busy store as well. Great to see there are still athletic wear stores who focus on customer service! Will be back for sure. read more

I first heard about Fleet Feet when I was living in SF years ago. I think I went in and bought shoes at the time but I don't remember the experience being all that memorable. Recently I've been thinking about getting a new pair of shoes as I've been having some issues with my feet hurting in my current pair of shoes.. So, I went out to Fleet Feet as I've heard their personalizied service is praise worthy. And it was! The salesman spent an hour with me talking, looking at my feet, measuring, checking out my walk...it was an amazing experience. I walked out of there with a pair of shoes that are likely the most comfortable I have ever own. read more

Russ, the owner, was very helpful. He truly likes and cares about his customers. He took time to find out what we needed, made sure it fit, and guaranteed the items. He said bring it back if it's not right. That is customer service. He treated us like we were his best customers even though we only wanted to buy insoles. That is not available online! read more

shoes overpriced and sock selection was awful. Couldn't find a match for a sock I had bought there before!! Customer service = mediocre Thankfully found my shoes and socks elsewhere with cheaper price! Skip this rip-off. read more

This store is the very best. Came in to purchase a new pair of running shoes. The staff was great. Really took the time to show me several different pairs. Measured my feet, had me walk around the store , even take a jog to make sure they were to my liking. Will always buy my shoes from Fleet Feet. You can't go wrong at this great store!!!. read more

My doctor suggested I get my my kids orthodics and suggested I go here. They were helpful and helped in fitting both my kids.

I got a new pair of running shoes at Fleet Feet this morning. I chose to drive over the hill to purchase them because they support the "She is Beautiful" race (which I love) every year. I am always a little intimidated to walk into a running store. I don't look like a runner and some places are pretty snobby in that regard. Not Fleet Feet. I was helped right away, asked good questions about why my current shoes weren't working for me and even though it was quite busy Hillary brought out 5 or 6 pairs of shoes for me to try and didn't push any of them or try to rush through the process. I will continue to support the store because they support local races and because of the excellent customer service. read more

Helpful staff that are always upbeat. I love the shoes that they fit me in. I have bought the same shoe several times at Fleet Feet but I never buy the clothes, they are expensive. read more

Great time here the other day. Sales rep took 45 minutes of her time to make sure I got the right pair of shoes. Analyzed my gait, foot size, and pronation all with a smile. Since then I have run About 45 miles and my feet have never been happier. You gotta check them out! read more

The WORST service ever! I bid on the Fleet Feet gift bag donation at the Aptos Chamber Awards dinner - and due to their LATE submission, I was unable to view the items before I bid. I was excited to win, since the value said $250.00, and the list of items shows the package included a $80 gift certificate - which I was excited to use for a new pair of shoes. The package included shirts (that would fit a 5 year old) and a bunch of books I would never use. I went to see the owner, Russ Coillot - to ask for different shirt sizes (that fit average sized adults) and see if I could exchange the books - long story short, he was an A**hole and was so rude - totally refused to help me. . . I promply went to the Aptos Chamber an spoke with Karen, who graciously agreed to refund the $ spent on this shi*ty donation. Here's a tip - if you want AMAZING service, do yourself a favor and go to Running Revolution. read more
