Great personalized customer service for their shoes. It's worth spending the time and money to get a great fitting, high quality shoe. Selection is limited and prices seem high, otherwise a great store. read more

Great place to shop if you wear average sizes--womens 7-9 B, or mens 8-11 D. For average sized feet you can actually buy shoes here. If you wear anything above or under the average size, or if you have wide feet, save yourself some time and avoid Fleet Feet Aptos and buy shoes over the hill or online. Fleet Feet Aptos has NO selection of sizes, and is a small town store only for people with very average sized feet. If you have small or large or wide feet--don't waste your time here, you just will not find anything to fit you...! P.S. I tried to buy shoes here several times in the last 2 years and never have come close to finding anything in a 13-14 Wide, even though they boast having a "selection of sizes"... read more

Every time I try and buy sneakers here there is always an extremely long wait. Prices are probably on par with the market, but if I'm willing to pay $$150-$175, I feel like there should be more staff (and space) to handle more than two customers at a time. I've walked out more than once after waiting 10-15 minutes to work with someone to find my shoe size. I want to support local, but there's a point where I give up and decide to buy online. read more

Far and away the best shoe store in the county. Fleet Feet is the best argument for opting for brick and mortar stores over on line products. You get attention and considerate service. Great for runners and any body who appreciates a comfortable shoe. read more

This store is not closed, the previous reviewer must not have realized they moved just down the road. The listed address is accurate. Excellent store. My first time there. They measure your foot digitally with a little podium that has 10 or 12 cameras, and then they go over it with you in detail. They also send you the report. They fit me in shoes that are perfect for my feet. Finally shoes with enough cushion for my flat feet that stop me from falling to far forward. My balance is now back where it should be, more of my heels than the ball of my foot. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Most shoes range around 100 to 130 or so. I will definitely be back. read more

Above and Beyond!!!! The manager of this store gave me her FULL attention (for at least 45 minutes) to make sure I got fit into the exact perfect shoes for my gait and my body. I'm new to running, so it was especially beneficial to have Amber Melville (the amazing manager!) give me such great education, careful consideration, encouragement, etc. She went above and beyond, gave me a pair of discounted socks and I even got a 10% discount just for being a new customer. Such a great experience! I went back a few weeks later with my boyfriend and she did the exact same thing for him. read more

There was a mixup on delivery of the shoes I paid for but the owner, Eric, helped me resolve the problem and treated me wonderfully. I will continue to shop there and recommend this business. Thank you read more

Returning to running after a handful of years and a few too many pastries is difficult, but Amber made the daunting task of finding new shoes easy-breezy. I came in ready to spend too much time trying on the whole wall, but she narrowed down the best choices and accurately predicted the pair I would ultimately choose. I had been wearing the wrong size all along! She listened to all my concerns and found the best shoes and insoles she could for me. This kind of customer service can't be beat! Thank you, Amber!! read more

I bought running shoes here so I could train for an intensive physical conditioning regimen, and I really like the shoes they picked for me. Yes, they picked the shoes for me. They took the time to analyze my gait and pick the shoe that would provide the best support for my needs. The store is really geared towards runners and they have a wide selection of other running related items here. Friendly staff. read more

I am a difficult and picky customer and Luisa was amazing!!! Such patience, good listener, and helped me figure out exactly what I needed.

Awesome experience today!! Came in as the wife need new shoes. After her getting her shoes I inquired about some for me. I have feet with attitudes. I told Kristen about my feet and what I was looking for. She went into the back and came out with a pair of shoes that..so far..have been the best shoes I have had on my feet for 20 years!! So comfortable that when my foot went into the shoe it sang....seriously THAT comfortable. This girl knows her shoes and listens to her customers needs!! Thank you Kristen for a fantastic experience this early afternoon!! Need shoes....do yourself a favor and go here!!! read more

Fleet Feet is locally owned by Russ and Tina and they along with their staff are the best! They have a great selection of running gear, shoes, hydration gear, socks, fuel for long runs, hats, sports bras, the list goes on.. They go out of their way to fit you in the best shoes, I know - I wear a women's 12.5 narrow! They also have amazing running programs for beginners and seasoned runners. On top of that they put on local races that raise money for local charities, schools, kids programs, etc. I would be amiss if I didn't mention that Russ makes the best pancakes in town right there at the store many weekends! read more

Without a doubt the best experience I have ever had. I just can't believe how much time the sales guy spent with me talking about my feet, how I run, why certain types of shoes are better for me, etc. The store was really busy and I didn't once feel rushed. I'll definitely go with them from now on. Thanks Fleet Feet! read more

This place is sketchy. The put an article in the paper for their so called weight loss program. They registered four or five times as many people (on-line so they knew the numbers) as could fit in to their room. It was a nightmare. A packed room and another crowd outside the door while the owners chuckled and joked. Not a healthy or productive atmosphere and made me realize that these people were incompetent and possibly dangerous to run any kind of program that deals with health. They sell sneakers!!!! They have no business running a weight loss program. Plus, that aren't even competent to organize it. Oh wait, I take that back. They were very good at collecting everyone's money. read more

We LOVE this store! Three weeks ago, my wife and I came in for a fitting for her first pair of running shoes. Amber was fantastic and Hayley was super helpful and friendly. Today were back, all the way from Fresno! They are totally worth it. Met Carol, Louisa, Calvin & Danni. Again, super helpful! Can't imagine a more welcoming group. Super knowledgeable about all sorts of shoes, socks and clothing! And that roller! If only that would go on sale! Great company! Great customer service! Great product line! Wish we were closer! read more

Under new ownership this store is now even better! The owner is great and is hands on to assist you in finding the best shoe for your foot possible- I am a bit disappointed in the selection and colors, however, nonetheless the shoe was exactly what my feet needed regardless of the look of the shoe. I am also impressed with the rewards program they offer- it does entice you to want to go back to them to spend your money there rather than a footlocker or any other atletic store, because you know you are reaping the benefits by shopping there as well. Love the store! read more

If running is your thing for exercise OR if you are just running around everywhere all the time, you GOTTA go here! They have excellent clerks and the selection is very good! I particularly loved the attention I got when I told the clerk I was having arch pain in one foot. He knew exactly what I needed and brought it to me pronto! Just a little caution, this place is not your typical outlet priced shoe store....so bring your FAT wallet! read more

I have bought countless running shoes, and apparel from here over the years. I run a fair amount, and always want new gear to help keep myself motivated. They measure your feet for width, length, arch, and check out your foot strike which is way beyond your normal Foot Locker morons. They have fit me for all my running shoes, and kept my feet without pain/blisters. Very knowledgable staff, and reasonable prices considering all the online competition these days. I am happy to have them as a local business. read more

This has the best selection of actual running shoes anywhere in the Monterey Bay Area. The service is great. Depending on how you run, weight and terrain the staff will help pick the correct shoe for you. The prices are what one would pay for real running shoes not the trendy shoes one finds at Foot Locker. If your serious about running this is the store to go. read more

I am so impressed by the customer service here. If you are serious about running, I could not imagine getting your shoes anywhere else. Full personalized foot assessment, and everyone who works there knows their shoes. The first pair of shoes ended up making my feet numb after a few runs, I stopped by strait from a run without a reciept or even the box that the shoes came in. I explained what was happening, and without a blink, did another assessment, and fit me for another shoe, which was a different brand, and even different size than I would have ever tried. They exchanged the shoes strait from my feet and I literally walked out with a new pair that are awesome. I will be a lifetime customer. read more

Excellent customer service and knowledgable staff with good recommendation. We were so impressed we bought shoes and insoles from them. Only down side, I found the exact shoe at Costco later for less :( read more

Fleet Feet is truly is more than a shoe store. I LOVE my new shoes and they fit like a glove. The Superfeet inserts support my arches and make my feet happy. Fleet Feet Aptos owners and staff are committed to building a community focused on being healthy and active. They host several running events year round as fundraisers to support local charities. Check out their store for a great collection of athletic shoes, socks, clothing and self-care/massage tools. read more

Amazing service, great selection! Staff is very knowledgeable as well. Always love supporting the locally owned. They are so friendly and helped me find the perfect pair of shoes! read more

I still really really enjoy this store. I came in to talk with someone about these awesome blisters I get from my current running shoes. I'm a barefoot, minimalist runner, so the right shoe is really important. I spoke with Jessica (?) who told me it was most likely my socks, and recommended a pair. I already had purchased the socks some time ago, but she was right! I ran in my fancy socks, and no blisters! She also helped me out with trying on some different shoes, though I didn't like them for my specific needs. They also have an awesome selection of clothes and sports bras! Ladies, if you're looking for some support for your "ladies" check out their selection. read more

It has always been a bit farther of a drive for me, but well worth it. I have never had a bad experience here and find the staff to be knowledgable and genuinely helpful. Each time I've been there they have gone above and beyond to make sure I got the shoe I needed. Many shoe stores don't carry large shoe sizes in stock(10.5/11), I can always count on Fleet feet to have my size. They even helped me tie my shoes with fancy new speed laces. Thanks Noah! A side note, they have a small, but stylish collection of women's workout clothes and bras. read more

Everyone that works at this store is SO kind and knowledgable! The owner is a gem! I will forever go to fleet feet to buy running shoes! This place is awesome! read more

I usually order all my running shoes online because it's cheaper and more convenient. I went in to get some sizing questions answered and I fell in love!Every person I encountered there is so personable. The staff really cares about having your needs met instead of just trying to sell you stuff. I bought new running shoes after spending 45 minutes trying on several pair and testing them outback. I went back after this experience to buy racing shoes and had another positive experience. Carol was super generous and comped me my balance of $5 after paying with my gift card because I left my wallet at home. Totally worth going in to get the expertise and support from the fleet feet crew! read more

Rus and Tina are the BEST! All their employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything you need in just one stop, from shoes, to apparel, to rocktape and nutrition. WAY more than just a shoe store - they have really created a community of sorts, hosting lots of fitness events and seminars. It is really worth the little bit of extra time to go in and get fitted for the correct running shoe - it makes all the difference! read more

Was told to go to fleet feet by my physical therapist to get supportive gym shoes. I was thoroughly impressed by their customer service. The guy who helped me was very attentive, thorough, and really listened to what I needed. He picked out great shoes and insoles for me, I will never buy athletic shoes from another store again! read more

As a local avid trail runner, I utilize Fleet Feet Aptos often and am always, ALWAYS pleased with the customer service here! Super knowledgable re: products and they will go the extra mile to order something (if it's not in stock). I feel lucky to have such a quality running store here in the 831! read more

Great experience at Fleet Feet in Aptos. Was able to exchange shoes I had recently purchased at their store a few weeks prior that were hurting my feet. Amber was incredible. Service is outstanding, it is always great when the owner of a business actually works the business. They are knowledgable and take their time with you. I was sent here by a friend who recommended some running shoes. Highly recommended and will be back. read more

I will be back for my next pair of shoes! It amazed me on how knowledgable everyone was. My only complaint would be for the sales people to help more than one person at a time. If I'm running down the block to test out a pair of shoes and I still have a few more to try on, by all means please go ahead and help another customer and if I have any questions I will just ask. Other than that I will see you guys soon! read more

First time in the store to buy shoes. Calvin was very knowledgeable and patient as we talked about what I did and didn't want. Once the "reader" told us what my real shoe size was we got to work. Found the perfect shoe for me, but they didn't have my color in the store. Nor did they have it online. Calvin went the extra step of contacting their sister store in Monterey and found my shoe! Wonderful....I was delighted. Great customer service. read more

Fleet feet sports in aptos is awesome & has thee most durable running // walking shoes in town! & a ton of different colors / brands! Stop in and check them out if you are in Santa Cruz County! read more

I think this place is as good as it gets. I find their shoes to be top of the line and the service is very helpful. When I went they talked to me about what I was going to use the shoes for, had me try on multiple pairs and in general apparently know a lot about shoes. In addition, the shoes I bought, while expensive, ended up being both better for my feet and also cheaper than the less expensive options, because I would have had to replace my Fleet Feet shoes about 2-3 times if I had gone with the cheapies. I'll be going back to this business again the next time I need some athletic shoes. read more

My "go-to" place to get the service and brands that I like. I've always gotten great service and a lot of helpful advice about my foot issue. I tend toward over pronation and having the right shoes have helped a great deal. read more
