Called SVM after learning this and got an appt for replacement today (Thurs). Nikitia called prior to appt & said he could come sooner and I said great. Not only was he here sooner he got the job done quickly. Our washer & dryer were side by side w/the dryer hose passing behind the washer to where it exited--when the old washer became unbalanced it had banged into hose causing the hole that were unknown to us till it was exposed when new washer was installed. As a side note, when replacing a washer or dryer do not let the installer run a dryer hose behind a washer as if it becomes unbalanced it will damage the hose creating a fire risk.

A couple of years ago I noticed the amount of energy we were supposed to be getting with our solar panels had severely decreased as our SMUD bill increased. Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. Excellent company, which I will refer to others as well as use again next year.

Had an issue over the winter with water getting through one of our window seals. The boss (my wife)…read morewas convinced it was because we'd never had our gutters cleaned. I searched Yelp for a five-star gutter cleaning company, found Bargain Window & Gutter Cleaning Services, and decided to give them a try. It turned out to be one of the best home maintenance decisions I've made. I contacted Joshua through Yelp Messenger, and he responded almost immediately with a quote. He requested my address, used Google Maps to inspect the roof remotely, and we quickly scheduled a full gutter cleaning. The service included complete removal of debris from the roof and gutters, a thorough rinse of the entire gutter system, flushing all downspouts to ensure proper drainage, and photos and videos of the completed work sent directly to my phone. Here's where things got even better. While cleaning the gutters, Joshua noticed several roof tiles that were cracked or out of place likely the real source of our leak. After a quick trip to the hardware store for some roof tile repair adhesive, the problem was fixed. Joshua, it was an absolute pleasure working with you. We had Squeaky Clean come clean our windows about two weeks before listing our home for sale. After…read morethe technician (Eliot) left, I discovered that three of the four blinds upstairs were no longer functioning correctly. One roller blind with a bead string was snapped, one blind was stuck in the all the way up position and would not lower, and a third would open and close very crookedly. I contacted them and they sent out a manager (Kyle) to look at the blinds. He was able to fix the one that was stuck all the way up and wouldn't release, and he agreed it was caused by pulling the blinds up too far/hard. He was unable to repair the other two blinds, but said that they would send a blind repair specialist. After almost two weeks, there was finally availability in his schedule and he was supposed to arrive between 8-10AM to fix the blinds on the same morning that the house was being photographed for the real estate listing at 11AM. He no showed the appointment and after I called at 10:15 to inquire about his ETA, I was told it was due to a truck breaking down, even though this was not communicated with me. Eventually I spoke with the specialist and by the time he could arrive it would have overlapped with the photography appointment. At this point he also told me for the first time that he would not be fixing the blinds on-site, but instead they need to be taken down and brought back to their warehouse for repair and that they should have brought them in for repair two weeks prior when the issue was first flagged. At that point I couldn't have him take the blinds because it was Wednesday and the house was being listed the next day with open houses scheduled that weekend. The plan was made for him to pick up the blinds the following Monday morning, to repair and return them before the next weekend's open houses. On Monday morning I received a call from a manager that said they no longer thought they were responsible for breaking the blinds and that they were already broken before they got there. They later admitted that they did open one blind that was stuck and wouldn't release, but that they never touched the other blinds and that they were open when they got there. This is untrue, if I had prepared for the visit by opening the blinds, I would have done that for all rooms. What happened was that they came on time at 8 AM, I met Eliot and said please start upstairs, I am going outside to power wash the patio since I didn't want to get water spots on the patio door or windows after they were cleaned. It was only a few hours after he left that I went upstairs to lower the blinds and saw that 3/4 no longer worked properly. So to summarize, Squeaky Clean's position is that I waited until right before selling my house to try and trick a window cleaning company into fixing my two broken blinds, and that they did coincidentally happen to break a third one while there, that they did manage to repair, but take no responsibility for the other two. So now I am out $1000 because of $250 worth of window cleaning services and it is all happening while we have the added stress of showing our house to potential buyers. The takeaway, should you choose to do business with this company (you shouldn't), make sure to document, ideally by video the day of the service, that your blinds are in good working order. You should also supervise them while they work, and immediately check the condition of all blinds before they leave. You need to approach this like you are going to have to prove your case in front of a jury of your peers. --OR -- You could just go with a different company that isn't run by a bunch of lying crooks. Choose wisely.
