After talking to 9 different companies, I chose Flavor Chef. during my first call I could tell the owner was all about making my wedding perfect and serving the food my guests would love. Well he did not disappoint, from the appetizers to the desserts, each course was a hit. I am still getting compliments about the food served. I guess the best part of my experience with Perfect Chef was how easy they were to work with, nothing was too hard or complicated. Their staff were efficient and polite and did it all with a smile. I can't thank Chef Derek enough for his help with our service. Losing a loved one is hard and there are so many things to get done. Derek made the whole process as simple as possible from the beginning but to arrive at the location and to find the beautiful spread was the best. Everything he made us was superb!! The ingredients were put together with thoughtfulness and tasted amazing! The fruit platter not only included a variety of organic fruits and berries but also star fruit and passion fruit arranged perfectly. The finger sandwiches were scrumptious!! The hummus and veggie platter was not standard by any means and included purple carrots and purple cauliflower along with a variety of other veggies for dipping. The pita bread was not standard at all but tasted as if we were in a Mediterranean restaurant. I'm glad I requested pickles to go with the sandwiched because his house made dill slices are to die for. The cookie platter was delicious and the lemonade really hit the spot. We selected FCC to cater our 60th anniversary aboard the Nerissa (Zola Yachts) in San Diego. The food was perfect! Chef Diego and server Joey did an outstanding job. Diego's dishes were fresh, well seasoned, beautifully presented...just all around great. He prepared some items on site in a small galley on a moving vessel with a smile. His work area was tight and open to the party yet he kept it immaculately clean throughout the entire cruise. His timing was right on. From the beginning of the evening until the end he always had food items available. He kindly cut and plated our cake and Joey served it. Joey was moving around the boat all evening. He passed trays from the top deck, through the main deck and out to the bow. He made sure each guest was served. Working with Flavor Chef was a breeze. Madison was so attentive and easy to get a hold of. We used the Flavor Mobile for our wedding and the food was absolutely amazing. We got married three weeks ago, and our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was--from the appetizers (lamb chops, chicken and waffles, avocado toast and charcuterie spread) to the entrees (burger and chicken sandwiches). After doing a tasting, my now-husband and I thought the food was delicious but then wondered if it could be executed the same for more than two people. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. A little bit delayed with my review, but better late than never right? Flavor Chef catered our backyard wedding for 76 people out in oceanside about a month ago. Mind you, we did not have a Wedding Planner or Day of Coordinator, so we relied a lot on our vendors just knowing what to do, and that is exactly what Flavorchef did! Throughout the entire process, from planning to the actual big day, Steven at Flavorchef did a phenomenal job. During the planning phase he was very responsive to emails, texts and calls and answered all of my questions. ( And I am definitely the type of person that has a long list of questions). We looked at a couple of companies and Flavor Chef was definitely one of the more competitively priced and they were definitely flexible and willing to work with us to make sure we got what we needed from them! During the day of the actual wedding they hit the ground running. They were efficient with their prepping, kept to a schedule, super nice at serving and helping all of the guests, and most importantly everyone LOVED the food. (I still get comments about the bacon wrapped dates that were passed as a hors d'oeuvre!) Can't really compare them to any other catering company as this is the only time I planned such a large event and used a catering company... but I would recommend them in a heart beat to anyone who is looking for a caterer! read more

They are amazing, I could not have been any more impressed than I was. His prices were more than reasonable and when ALL the food arrived I was even more impressed. I had Flavor Chef Cater my wedding and I cannot recommend them enough! We had about 250 people and Steven and his team didn't even hesitate. We had passed appetizers of bruschetta, steak and Brie crostinis and bacon wrapped dates. For the entrees we had live action stations of salad, pasta, sliders and tri tip. For desserts we had fruit tarts and lemon bars. The food was absolutely amazing and freshly made so the meal was hot. We have had so many people calling to let us know how good the food was and it was "the best food they've ever had at a wedding" and my family's very food oriented people, so that says a lot! Aside from how delicious the food was, everyone on Steven's team were all so kind and incredibly helpful.
