Had an amazing dinner at a close friend's house. Brett was the chef and each course was even more fantastic than the previous, although I seriously believe that was the absolutely best crab cake I have ever had. The steak and the fish were both huge hits, and my spouse, who is a crème brûlée connoisseur, said it was unbelievable. Creamy, smooth and the brûlée was perfection! I am writing this review because I couldn't be anymore pleased with Trevors professionalism and delicious food! Having a baby during covid has been tough and bc of that we aren't ready to go to any restaurants any time soon. This lead us to hire Trevor as our private chef..we desperately needed to get a little taste of the normal life and wanted a fun way to celebrate our little girl with our family. and OH MY goodness we are so happy we were referred to him! Chef Trevor did a private birthday lunch for my husband and our friends at an AirBnB in La Mesa and it was simply wonderful. His communication was outstanding from the get go with a phone call and follow up emails, helping create a menu that would cater to omnivores and vegans - even making the most amazing chilli chocolate cheesecake vegan with only 3 days notice having apparently never done something like that before and yet it appeared absolutely top notch restaurant quality and totally fooled the non vegans. Our menu was: 1. Prosciutto and Burrata Crostini/Summer Vietnamese rolls 2. Charred romaine lettuce with avocado 3. Diver Scallops on Jerusalem artichokes/cauliflower meatballs with coconut and turmeric 4. Chef Trevor did a great job with a small 70th birthday dinner for my dad at my parents' home! He was responsive and communicative, from the first phone call to discuss pricing and services, to responding to multiple emails about menu tweaks and answering last minute questions. When he showed up, he was warm and friendly, and extremely professional from start to finish. The food was excellent and price was very reasonable for what we got. He even loaded the dishwasher and left the kitchen sparkling clean so there was absolutely nothing to do after he left except put our feet up and digest. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to have been invited to a small gathering at a friend's home with food provided by Your Table. We gathered after a round of golf for what I thought would be a glass of wine and some light "snacks". What a treat we were in for! Chef Brett arrived with his coolers full and ready to prepare our foods on-site, all the while being simply charming. A beautiful charcuterie board started the evening, followed by bacon-wrapped dates, pan-seared tuna happiness, and the most delicious crab cakes I have ever eaten. I snapped a few shots before the food was eaten, sadly I didn't get a pic of the crabcakes as they were plated with the lime aioli because I just dug in! We did not have a full meal, but honestly, I can only imagine how delicious it would have been. I could get spoiled by eating this way! The very best experience! I reached out to Chef Trevor through Yelp for ideas to celebrate a major birthday during COVID, thinking it would be a way to get the fine dining experience at home. Of all the companies I compared, this is the best combination of price, service, and customization. Fine dining is an understatement for having the most luxurious multi-course meal at your own table! Chef Trevor was attentive to emails with my logistics questions since this was my first time planning this sort of event. He was supportive in picking custom menu items, even going so far as to partner with a local bakery to prepare a special-order cake for us! His partner Chef Justin arrived ahead of our dinner guests, had done all the shopping, prep, brought everything he needed, and quickly took charge in my kitchen. It's hard at first to relax and have a guest cooking in your home, but Chef Justin went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and like I was the guest. His professionalism and hospitality were incredible. He was patient and friendly with my 3 little kids running around as he prepared the meal. The love FoodNetwork and thought they were on TopChef! Such a treat for a mom to not worry about her kids screaming in a nice restaurant, COVID or not!!! Hired Trevor for a 50th Bday with 14 guests, chose the 4 course dinner with wine pairing and ordered additional services (rental chairs, tables, linen, plate and glassware, the whole nine yards). Communication and planning with Trevor up until the event was seamless. Trevor and team arrived early/on time on the day of event and wowed our guests. Professional, personable and food with wine pairing blew away our picky guests. I was so incredibly satisfied, we want to have another party just to have this dream team back!!!
