I got new tires from here in May 2025. Tread life was 70k miles. Well, I am back just shy of a complete 12 months. And the tires now have 66,000 miles on them (yup 66k in one year). And the only reason they are being changed is because one of the tires have a bubble in it. And I'm not one to replace 1 or 2 tires kinda guy. I got to do all 4. They don't have the exact same tires. But they have 4 that's a step up on quietness and comfort. So for a couple extra dollars. It works for me. It's a tire joint so I don't expect super clean sitting area. But the waiting room will do to keep our the cold. I like that they are thorough in the job they do. They back their work and they got very good prices. I paid over $11,000 to FlatHouse Tire for a 4.5" Rough Country lift, 37" Falken tires, and Fuel wheels on my 2022 Ford F-350. After the installation, the truck became unsafe to drive. It shook badly over 60 mph and handled unpredictably on uneven roads. I returned the truck multiple times and gave Rodrigo every opportunity to fix the problem. I was repeatedly given promises that were never fulfilled, and communication was often evasive and unprofessional. At one point, I was told the truck had been test-driven, but I later learned otherwise. After months of dealing with the issue, I had to take the truck to another specialist and spend thousands more dollars to correct the problems. I went to FHT Tires for tire installation and rim repair. I paid a $400 deposit. Before installing the new tires, the shop installed a loaner rim on my front wheel. Within about a mile, two lug nuts came off completely and the remaining three were loose, which created a serious safety hazard. Volvo's inspection confirmed the front brake backing plate was damaged due to improper installation. The tires were never installed, the service was never completed, and the shop has refused to refund my deposit. I have filed complaints with NJ Consumer Affairs and BBB and am pursuing small claims. I brought my car in for a 4 wheel balance and alignment but once taken off I had bent rims n uneven wear. This explains the violent vibrations at higher speed. Rodrigo the service manager was very tentative despite all the other cars already in the shop worked out a great deal and fixed my damaged rims, balanced and alignment. They test drove the car and brought back in for another adjustment. The car rides great now so giving Rodrigo and his team a huge shout out! This will be my place to go to from now on. The labor cost would be $477.73. So I dropped my car off the next morning around 8:30am. Later that day around 4pm my wasn't ready. In fact it wasn't at the location. FLATHOUSE tires outsourced my car to local auto repair shop. Actually drove it there. Come to find out the local auto repair shop ONLY CHARGE $200 for the labor. Ok well 1 st and last time I will do business with this place ! I see this company and owner had mix reviews! Against my better judgement I should stay away , working as a law enforcement I should known better . I contacted via yelp for pricing in my local area for a wheel alignment I received a few responses, I decided to take it to Flathouse ties based on distance to my home . Since I had a falling out with Mavis for being shady ! Well guess what here another shady business and owner must be something to do with tires and minor Car repair shops in New Jersey with being dishonest or shady with their business practices. One when I contacted Them for a quote they quoted a price of 75 dollars which I thought was fair or a average I see they have a special on weds and Thursday for wheel alignment post on their entrance gate for 49.99 wish he would told me about that I would came the next day shady once again ! So I text back and forth with the owner himself which I wilL post them messages. So I pulled in to the lot which had five employees whom only speak Spanish and I had to talk to the girl who seemed to be running the shop name nel who talk English and Spanish . I explained I was here for wheel alignment and I did contact them via yelp she said ok told the employees why I was here and what service I i wouLd need in Spanish. About 30 mins later I was told my car was completely done I was processed it came out to 82.22 and I paid cash ! I look over the receipt it states there a 3.0 percent surcharge on my bill . When I inquired what's that for she saId it's for the guys like a mandatory tip ,that for bad business !that's because he must pay them under the table or very low pay ! This place has TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I bought two sets of brand new tires. One set for my car $800 and change the other for my truck $1,650 and change . Both times I had a 2-3 hour wait to have them installed while they gave more attention to customers buying single used tires. Not to mention both new sets of tires I purchased were supposed to come with free balance and rotation once a year but for some mysterious reason that agreement magically disappeared from their files and computer. The worst tire place I have ever been to. I have dealt in Perth Amboy the last 20 years in used tires and never a problem. I go to this place because l thought the service was going to be of quality, but they fell well short of the mark. I had a flat with my tires within an hour. I have the picture to prove it. They have so called Managers that couldn't manage a McDonald's. At least in McDonald's if you have a problem they refund you the money or replace the item no questions asked. By and large these guys do good work, however, one of the employees, stripped and tore out my TPS sensor on my Toyota during a tire repair and said that it was faulty rather than take ownership. It was a $75 TPS sensor during a $40 tire patching.... Taking my cars to a regular tireshop going forward. Aggravation is not worth the savings. read more

1. I waited for almost two hours just to have two tires installed. I also told the staff member to be careful and not to brake my TPS monitor from off of my tires because they have broken it in the past. 2. When the tires were finally installed all of the sensors were reading on my tires except for one of them. I brought the issue to Rodrigo's attention and he said that he would check the tire, but I would have to wait an additional 15-20 minutes, remind you I had already been there for almost two hours. After the staff member checked the tire, come to find out, they had broken my TPS monitor from off of my tire once again. Rodrigo told the staff member to install another sensor that he had in his shop, but I refused that sensor because it was an after market brand. I have a new car and I specifically told him that I wanted him to purchase the sensor from the car dealership. Once I said that, I was told by the owner, which is Rodrigo, that I would have to come back the following day. 3. Also I was quoted a price for the tires by Rodrigo. When it was time for me to pay for the tires, I was not allowed to use my $10 off coupon even though my purchase was over $100, which was the specified amount to be eligible to use the coupon. I will never do business with him again!! This place does not even deserve a one star!! 4. Rodrigo is VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL . He has TERRIBLE customer service skills. He treats his customers, employees , and the manager like SHXX!!! He talks to the employees and manager like they are a piece of SHXX!! He also likes to argue with the customers. He is also a BIG LIAR!! I also witnessed him kick a tire at the manager as well. I was floored when I saw that. If you want TERRIBLE service then go to Flat House Tires!! However my initial review was not regarding this issue, my problem was the way YOU demanded the key for my vehicle "I need the key of your car, because you are on my place of business, if you don't like it you can take it elsewhere because this is MY business" unfortunately, this kind of attitude towards a customer is not taken kindly, specially coming from the owner of the place, which is a shame, because your employees provide a better customer service than you do. Also, the time before I went to your establishment, I purchased a NEW front passenger tire, that I never made a formal written complaint about, I had bought another new tire for my vehicle about a month before, and I. Wanted the matching tire so both of my front tires were matching, which I believe it's not an uncommon request in your line of business, I had to order the tire because you guys didn't have it in stock, which I was ok with it, the issue I had was when I came back to install the new tire that was order I found out I was not getting a matching tire, YOU told me the tire u sold me a month before was no longer in production therefore you couldn't sell me the matching tire for the other side, which I understand, but at that point as a customer it's MY decision if I want to purchase a different tire, unfortunately YOU never call me to tell me this and I found out this information once the tire was already installed in my vehicle ... which again, it's not the time to find out this information ... at that point I had to take it as it was and keep the tire because YOU gave me no other option. You tell me Rodrigo, would you go back to this establishment after all this?!! But wait ... there's MORE!!! And now you finally reply back to my review with nothing but lies to my review?!! You lack of integrity ... unfortunately where your business goes wrong is with your ownership, you do not own your mistakes nor really try to fix them to your customers standards. I've been patronizing Flathouse Tires since they first opened. I was a satisfied customer and went to them for used tires at least once a year since. Over that period of time, the customer service was between good and decent with the last 2 years getting poorer because of unnecessarily long wait times for simple 1 or 2 tire replacements. This past Saturday, December 7, 2019, I had THEE WORST experience EVER from any business at Flathouse Tires. 3 hours to change 2 tires, the manager Rodrigo openly disrespecting his employees in front of customer by talking to them with demeaning words and tone, getting the wrong tires, them taking the wrong tires (the good tires) off my car, them putting the wrong tires on the wrong set of wheels, being charged 150% more that the requested service cost, them not fixing it when it was brought to their attention twice prior to the work starting, and then being offered a free service valued at 50% of their original cost of what I requested. Horrible! When I go back Monday for them to address that they put the wrong tires on the wrong location and I still have a flat. Rodrigo flat out lies and tells me that they did a tire rotation. I know that's a lie for 4 reasons; My flat tire is in the same place; right rear. My left rear is still worn. The valve caps I removed prior to their work are still off of the same rear tires (because I have them). Lastly, the smudge marks from them handling my rims are only on the front wheels while the back wheels are clean. After I negate his 1st lie, he then he tells me another lie that he personally inspected the tires and the front tires were worn on the inside and that's why they changed those. I tell him that's not true because I bought these tires from you in June and since then I did my own tire rotation and before I brought the car I inspected all my tires, plus your employee looked at all my tires and said the back tires were worn. Plus a business shouldn't do other work that's not requested without tell you and then let you leave with the same problem you came for them to fix. That's stupid. Systemic dysfunction, incompetence, and lies. The manager Rodrigo refused to give a refund of the difference in the overcharge and then refused to replace both bad tires. He doesn't have the professionalism nor the operating capital to consistently deliver good service nor to properly address and correct errors he made, let alone the work ethic to do the right thing. read more

Last weekend I had the VERY FORTUNATE experience to have my car serviced by FlatHouse Tires. I needed to replace two tires on my 2011 Nissan Murano STAT! Given my dire situation, I went to a local tire vendor in New Brunswick who totally ruined my car. They placed the wrong size tires on my vehicle and then tried to convince me it would be ok to drive around with two sets of different size tires. Ugh!!! Needless to say, me and my Murano were not amused! Anyway, I still needed tires and was advised to go to FLAT HOUSE TIRE in Plainfield, NJ to get affordable quality tires. After my experience in New Brunswick, I was skeptical about going to anyone but the dealer. So I did a little research and immediately I saw the ratings and read the reviews for FlatHouse Tires. I was impressed. But what really sold me was the fact that when I called the shop to ask about their inventory of the tire size my car needed, I didn't have to give them the size. Once I told them the year, model and make of my car, they told me what size I needed and confirmed they had it in stock. This was so different than what I had experienced with the vendor in New Brunswick. I immediately made an appointment for the following Saturday. These guys ROCK!!! As soon as I arrived they assessed my tires and got to work. I was in and out in under 30mins! I purchased used tires that looked so good that it was hard for me or anyone I know to tell they were used. Josh (.he's very handsome btw!), even backed my car out onto the street as any gentleman should do for a lady. Recently went here to have tire replaced on my Lexus is250. The employee who put on the new tire did not properly tension the bolts. This caused 3 of the 5 bolts to come loose during driving, which ultimately lead to my car needing a new front wheel hub. Owner would not acknowledge fault in this incident. read more
