Last weekend I had the VERY FORTUNATE experience to have my car serviced by FlatHouse Tires. I needed to replace two tires on my 2011 Nissan Murano STAT! Given my dire situation, I went to a local tire vendor in New Brunswick who totally ruined my car. They placed the wrong size tires on my vehicle and then tried to convince me it would be ok to drive around with two sets of different size tires. Ugh!!! Needless to say, me and my Murano were not amused! Anyway, I still needed tires and was advised to go to FLAT HOUSE TIRE in Plainfield, NJ to get affordable quality tires. After my experience in New Brunswick, I was skeptical about going to anyone but the dealer. So I did a little research and immediately I saw the ratings and read the reviews for FlatHouse Tires. I was impressed. But what really sold me was the fact that when I called the shop to ask about their inventory of the tire size my car needed, I didn't have to give them the size. Once I told them the year, model and make of my car, they told me what size I needed and confirmed they had it in stock. This was so different than what I had experienced with the vendor in New Brunswick. I immediately made an appointment for the following Saturday. These guys ROCK!!! As soon as I arrived they assessed my tires and got to work. I was in and out in under 30mins! I purchased used tires that looked so good that it was hard for me or anyone I know to tell they were used. Josh (.he's very handsome btw!), even backed my car out onto the street as any gentleman should do for a lady. I loved it!!! :) And, to add to their stellar level of professionalism and customer service, they followed up with me via text message a few days later to see how my car was running! Who does that?! PROFESSIONALS who care about their brand... that's who!!! I AM SOLD on FlatHouse Tires! They will definitely see me again and again. Their professionalism and quality service has set the standard. Not to mention their awesome prices- which are absolutely perfect for anyone on a budget. I totally recommend this be your first and only stop for your car needs. Love this place!! Needed to get all of my pads/rotors changed for my '14 Audi S5 and the dealer wanted an insane amount of money to replace with OEM pads/rotors even though I told them I really didn't like the brake feel of the stock system. Was referred by a friend to Rodrigo at Flathouse and he took the time out to listen and really understand what I was looking for. After talking about 30 min, he gave me some options and I could immediately tell he was a real "car guy" who knows his stuff. Wound up going with his suggestion for EBC's Stage 5 Kit -which includes (4) dimpled and slotted rotors with along with "yellow stuff" pads- which matched by aggressive street driving style. Been about 3 weeks and I have to say they did an amazing job - no squeaks, no noise - just fantastic and I love the brake feel. Was advised by some of the Audi boards to not go with EBC as the bed in procedure was supposedly a nightmare and to be prepared for a ton of squeaking- for at least 1000 miles. Whatever Rodrigo did, I didn't have any of that. Take this review for what it's worth, but I'm not on here to hype them up or drop some type of B.S. review-just hoping to give some good advice to fellow car enthusiasts who either don't want to get ripped off by the dealer or who just has a car they really care about. read more

Recently went here to have tire replaced on my Lexus is250. The employee who put on the new tire did not properly tension the bolts. This caused 3 of the 5 bolts to come loose during driving, which ultimately lead to my car needing a new front wheel hub. Owner would not acknowledge fault in this incident. read more

Beware of this shop. Took my car for alignment no sensor light on. When the car was out of alignment all speed sensor light were on. Owner claims it was already broking when it was taking to shop not true! Took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer inform me the speed sensor was torned of when the alignment was done there was no way possible it could have been damaged on the road other than being pulled of. Stay away from this shop deceptive practice. read more

I went to Flat house to purchase and to get a used tire put on my vehicle and they did a great job. Recently I went back to get a brake job never went there for a brake job but since its always busy decided to get the job done there. While driving the pads were squeaking. I though it would subside but it didn't. I drove for two weeks with my brakes squeaking so I called and brought my car in. They replaced the pads and he showed my a cracked and missing piece of pad that was on my car for two weeks. They said "a rock was maybe on the pad". Drove my car after the replacement and it continue to squeeze when I turned and stop for traffic. Its not a soft squeak but it loud enough to get anybody's attention. I spend over 250 dollars to get this problem fixed and I have to go for the third time. I would no longer go here for any service due to what I'm going through. read more

Honestly everything was going great until I went to get my two back tires replaced with used tires and half way through the process I realized they were switching my tires with completely different tires that didn't match and when I told the owner to stop and that I'll go to another store he was hesitant and charged me extra for both tires and the labor despite the fact that he didn't let me know he didn't have the right tires before starting. After I confronted them they said it was our fault for not asking before they started. Very reliable, friendly and competent service. Always busy but that's because they are a great local service. Never usually a problem finding correct tire sizes in stock and additional services are reasonably priced. Focus on customer service is evident as well. They will always try to accommodate the customer. I've been using them for years at this point. read more

As a previous happy customer I am now avoiding this place at all costs. Previous manager was great but new management is a thief. Look at previous reviews for yourself, be careful these guys do not care about their customers anymore only money and even manager himself told me they don't need me as a customer. I stopped one of the guys to tell him how much used tires were and if I was eligible for the discounted price that was on the sign for $35.99 for each used tire and free alignment, and he said "yea sure that's what the sign says we will give it to you" I happily agreed since what I needed fell under the category of that sign. One hour later the manager rings me up for $50 each tire!!! He tells me yea they are used, but more new than used which is why it's more money, so I told him that his guy quoted me the price before for a used tire and then this manager tells me something different up front after they are already installed? I can sue these guys for false advertisement, used falls under the category used so why charge me more? Manager was not considerate at all and basically told me oh well they are on now, that I have to pay or leave the car there. Please anyone who reads this stay away from this place, it's horrible now, they will charge you for every little thing, advertise something and then come up with something else when you're about to pay, that's how these assholes work. read more

I tried my best to get it back running , but it took some time for it to reboot ... She got aggressive at this time very irritable and out of control ... Other customers in the shop were trying to calm her down and inclusively she was rude to them and called them bad names and told them it was none of there business .. I was trying my best to accommodate her as such as possible ... Still she was not satisfied and not understanding of the situation ... I had just called a friend of mine to find out how much his place would charge for New tires. He asked me and how many and i said two, he told me that his tire guy said $500.00. Imagine how relieved i was when i found out that Flat House did it at way less than half that price. The young man who greeted me was friendly and his warm inviting demeanor captured my wife and I's business immediately. Needless to say he found some other things wrong and was more than willing to explain it all, tell us where to find the parts, give us a quote, and all in the same breath offered us a free oil change. My husband and I Stopped in this place due to a flat tire it was interesting but spoil by being barked at by a rude employee who said he was the manager Tall white male name Piero And that is very unacceptable. A nice gentleman I believe gave me prices for the tire. I Then proceed to go in the office to make a payment towards the service that I got and I hear this uneducated rude male bickering with another client in the facility I look up and it so happens to be the man that has the title of a manager. His behavior was very offensive to not only me but my husband his constant rudeness and insensitivity made me sick especially the way he was talking to a young female who was the front desk girl who by the way was brilliant great energy and self assertive she was the only employee who made my visit very very Pleasant, I will be contacting the BBB to let them know how horrible this business is and I will never return to this place hopefully the owner of this business knows that reflects badly on his company, and it also raises a measure of doubt within my mind as to whether others should continue doing business with your company. read more
