Customer service at Flatbread Company is top tier! Our host gave us plenty of recommendations and overall just made us feel so welcomed. We went with the Mama Mia! and The Forager. Both were delicious and comforting. The Mama Mia was my favorite of the two, the hot honey might be my new favorite pizza topping because of this. The saltiness of the salami with the acidity of the red onions and olive are a gastronomic combination on this flatbread. As a mushroom and scallion lover, The Forager was a must order but it was very herb heavy more than it was mushroom tasting. Still good, but the Mama Mia was the standout pie of the two. Prices are on the higher side but expected for area. I suggest you eat this while it's still hot especially if you don't have a way to heat it up later! Nice big place on the road to Hana. We hit up this place on our way back to Lahaina. We ordered a Pesto Pizza. Perfect for 2 people. Good flavor , not to heavy with the cheese either , very tasty. Our server was very attentive and got our order in quickly, and brought our drinks out quickly too. The only downer was we were seated near the bathrooms, wish we were seated more up front. Eventually husband and I decided to get a small pizza each instead of splitting one large. Even the small pizza was pretty big. On first look, i was like woah, no way we can finish these. This...this place is a chain? I feel so deceived! Whatever, 5-stars up anyway, way up! I came here twice on my micro-Maui vacation (4 days)...and I love trying new things. They had one of the better selections of Maui beer on tap that I encountered on the Valley Isle. They are a pizza place, most of the pizzas don't have pizza sauce: those ones are called flatbreads. You should look at the specials before ordering off the menu. I got the carne special my first visit, and the kalua pork my second. Both were excellent. The foods not cheap, but it's largely organic and local, and you're on an island: the markups are sane. I'm trying to show more gratitude in November, and to also get better at names, my server (the bartender) was Leah. She was a delight! Friendly, fast, and kind. Literally the best pizza I have ever had. I wouldn't say that lightly. I have had a lot of pizza over my life all over the US as well as internationally. Why? What makes this place, Flatbread Company, so good to me? It starts with the ingredients. All locally sourced and organic. I'm not a big organic, non-GMO, whole food, fresh kind of guy; I just like good food. But you definitely can taste a difference here. This is pizza on another level. All the pizzas are customizable. If you like a pizza and your party likes a different one, just tell them and the pizza will come half your pizza and half the other. We asked for double dough for a thicker crust. They can do that too. Different sauce: olive oil or marinara or bbq, no problem. I'm telling you, it's excellently made. The service is friendly. What else can you ask for. There is a beast of an oven that fits 16 large pizzas in at a time and can reach temps around 1,000 degrees. I believe the server said the oven has been there 16 years. They definitely have pizza making down. The town of Pa'ia is a great town too. After stuffing yourselves with pizza, walk a few slices off and peruse the shops. Or about a mile down the road is Ho'okipa Beach Park; one of the top spots for ocean sports and recreation in Maui. Located at Mile #9 on Hâna Highway. Only been here twice - once for the Nature Center's fundraiser and recently for MEO's fundraiser night. Both nights were great all around in terms of food, service, and atmosphere. I haven't eaten anything bad here yet. The salad with everything including goat cheese and basic salad are both great. I highly recommend the Mopsy pizza and the pepperoni mushroom as well. They also do a veggie curry pizza as a special, very delicious too. What I love about this place is everything is always perfectly seasoned, toppings perfectly portioned, flavor is amazing, texture, crust, and sauce are all just right. Service is pretty fast too even when they're busy. I highly recommend the lilikoi cheesecake for dessert if you still have room - divine! Parking can be a little tricky in Paia of course. The first time I parked at Baldwin Beach on the grass and walked over, and the second time I scored a stall in the lighted Paia town lot at the entrance of town, diagonal from the restaurant and slightly closer. They do offer call ahead seating to the restaurant directly. Don't go through this app, as I tried, but apparently they don't do Yelp Wait-list anymore. I warn anyone new to Paia, you will get the occasional homeless/drug addict screamer in the surrounding area and there have been car thefts before so just be mindful and vigilant. And always feel free to call the non-emergency police line if you're concerned for your safety or uncomfortable. They're great about responding to this area quickly. read more

Did some research, yes, yet again and found great reviews about this place. We decided to take my mother in law, the self proclaimed "pizza biggest fan" while we visited Maui this last week. I have to say that I'm very much a pizza snob myself and boy were we both very pleased with this place. Right when you first walk in you see their majestic oven! Man does its smell delicious! My boyfriend and I shared a small mopsey pizza and absolutely LOVED it. We still talk about it when our Hawaii trip gets brought up and wished there was one closer to us. Their mopsey's pizza has a delicious mango bbq sauce and Hawaii pineapple. I really like the sweet and savory combo so I may be a little bias for pineapples but if you are not a fan, there are so many other options out there! The protein can be either Kuala Pork or Chicken. We chose Kuala pork since we were in Hawaii and felt wronged if we chose chicken! We got this order to go, but I 100% would go again and try this pizza hot and fresh. Love Maui, Paia is a great place to relax and take it all in! After traveling all day to and from Hana we were beat and starving. We had been here before on our last trip to Maui and wanted to give them another try! We loved the flatbreads, great flavors and choices. We ordered and waited, and waited and waited. Grant you they were busy, but we were starving! after a while we asked for the manager. We told her that we've ordered over 30 minutes ago and we haven't received our pie. So, she comped us the first pie and we purchased another! Over all a great place, I would have rated them a 5, but they did let our order slip through the cracks that night. Out of this world type of good. I'm a believer after dining here with the hubs. We ordered the Mopsy's Kalua Pork (half chicken because I no longer eat pork) pizza and two salads for $50. I can't even begin to explain how amazing every bite was -- from the super thin and crispy crust to the tangle pineapple BBQ pizza sauce, it was hands down a perfected combo. Our server was quick and attentive. I read on Yelp that they also offer a house-made habanero and mango dipping sauce at request. The sauce was SO good with the pizza. We loved it so much that we asked the server to pack us a container of some for us to take back to our condo. She literally came back with a cup of the sauce -- loved it and we finished every last ounce throughout the rest of our stay. The atmosphere is fun and hip. Very lively with crowds of all sizes. Stopped here after our bike down Haleakala. We were starving and this was a recommendation from our bike guide. Pizza was pretty good. The marinara sauce is balanced with a little sweetness to it. Wasn't a fan of the pineapple as a topping - didn't taste as good as pineapple elsewhere on the island. It was kind of hard and bitter. We really liked that the ingredients were local and mostly organic. Bathroom could use some TLC, and service was just okay. However, I feel this place is a better deal than most because it isn't simply a tourist trap. Yes, the pizzas are just a little bit pricey - but locally sourced ingredients are awesome. The pizzas are rather large, and they come out pretty quickly even when the restaurant is packed. A small bonus: seeing pizzas in the oven on the restaurant floor is pretty cool. read more

What an amazing treat. We stopped here at the end of a long day from the Road to Hana. Flatbread and their amazing staff did not disappoint, particularly for bringing at the end of their night as well. Service was promoted, friendly, and accurate. Food was excellent. As a pizza snob I was hesitant of trying pizza off of the mainland in an area with excellent sea food. However, my fellow Yelper's reviews lead us to Flatbread who certainly delivered. We had the pepperoni and mushroom pizza along with the fajita. Both were perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and a great way to end an awesome day. We drive to Paia to hang out and my son felt like pizza... we were more keen on trying the local crusine but we decided to settle for the flatbread company to humor our son.... I must say it was a great find..... the quality of the pizza was just A M A Z I N G . Fully intended to take photographs of our lunch at Flatbread Company for yelp but we gobbled up the meal before I could think of it. So tasty! The spot is casual, with lots of seating for parties of all sizes, looks kid friendly, and has a very extensive menu. Our very friendly server pointed us to the favorites on the menu, and she did not lead us astray. Hubby and I shared an individual organic salad with fresh locally sourced veggies and a large Mopsy's Kalua pork flatbread. Wow. It's often difficult to find reliable fresh vegetables while traveling, but this salad was light and crisp. The flavors of the flatbread were incredible--the salty rich pork against the sweet pineapple was so tantalizing.
