However it was soft, floppy and very oily. If that's your thing you'll love it. If you're looking for crispy crust that holds straight when you lift it then look elsewhere. Great place. It's located in downtown North Conway walking distance to the park and Zeb's general store. It's located in an old hotel with plenty of parking. If there's a wait you can hang out outside, shop at neighboring stores or visit the hotel lobby. There probably will be a wait since this place is very popular. We were seated near the kitchen and it was fun to watch them rolling out flatbreads. Some of the menus had hand drawn covers by children which was fun. The flatbreads were all great. The kids in our party even ate the crust which they almost never do. I especially recommend the Kalua Pie. It was sooooo good. They cut the pies grid style which unfortunately led to a few pieces that were mostly crust. Also there was a pretty big error on our receipt where on pie was charged at $145! So always make sure. You check your receipts. They fixed it fairly quickly. But the food it so great here and the waitstaff was friendly. 5 stars. read more

I paid $44 for a custom made to order pizza to go, that came with missing ingredients: no sauce, no cheeses, and only a few mushrooms. The sausage and caramelized onions came through with nice flavor however, paying for the other ingredients and not getting them on my pizza was definitely disappointing. With so many other pizza locations in North Conway, I won't be returning to Flatbread for my next pizza. Lesson learned, check your pizza before leaving the restaurant. read more

Mimsy and I have been to the flatbread in Portland a few times. It's right on the water and they do great, all-natural, locally sourced pizza. This location in North Conway has all of the same great food and service, plus, if you're lucky enough, ringside seats at ground zero of the action, housed in a massive granite-and-oak beamed open-concept kitchen. Luckily, this California boy has a friend that lives a few minutes down the road and he recommended that we try this place. We both ordered our own pizzas. My friend got a custom with pepperoni and sausage and I got one with mushrooms and herbs. The ambiance is fun since the oven is right in the dining room and you can watch them cook the pizzas. They're all cooked in a wood fired oven. Tasty and filling for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and there's a lot going on with the decor. We're locals and so much wanted to love this new location for this restaurant, we took some out of town friends and could not have been more disappointed with their pizza. I just don't understand how you can specialize in "pizza" and miss the mark so badly!! Granted the pizza is very thin - that's the style and not what i didn't like about it. They put the absolute bare minimum topping on the pizza regardless of what type you order. Our guest ordered the special which was supposed to have about 5-6 different toppings on it. They could barely locate and identify half the ingredients that were supposed to be on the pizza. It was literally about 40% less than one would expect !! I just had a pizza with a couple toppings - same thing on mine. What they do give you is a ton of bland crust that we couldn't even choke down. See pic of the crust left over from two pizza's. One might think for what they charge and how thin the pizza is, the least they could do is put an appropriate amount of toppings on. I would be remiss if I didn't say the service was great! The staff throughout the restaurant was very pleasant! When our guest told our waitress their disappointment, she offered to make them a new pizza. Unfortunately, it about as thin as their first one on toppings and again mostly crust. Apparently that is their go forward strategy! Turned around and drove past it again. On the third pass, I happened to spot the sign. It is in the Eastern Slope Inn building, to the right of the Inn. Food and service were outstanding. Covid-19 Takeout Review I wouldn't consider what they offer a pizza. Of course, growing up in the New York/New Jersey area, there is only one classification for pizza... New York Style! So, let's just go with the name Flatbread. Ordering and paying by credit card was easy over the phone. We ordered the Jay's Heart, Pepperoni & Mushroom, Happy Valley Community Flatbread and Mopsy's Kalua Pie. The Good: The ingredients are fresh and the flatbreads are tasty overall. They are very light because of the thin crust, so you don't feel as full as you might after eating a standard pizza. The Bad: There was way too much crust on a number of the pies. They really could spread more toppings and cheese across the flatbread. The Happy Valley barely had any caramelized onions on it compared to the mushrooms. The Jay's Heart was burnt on side. For $20+ per flatbread, I would expect to not receive a burnt pie. read more

We came in with a group of 9, we knew we loved the flatbreads on the waterfront in Portland so we went in. They sat us at a large table and we sat down. We figured we'd let the waitress know ahead of time that we'd need three checks. 3 checks for nine people. She acted very out of sorts and seemed not to understand. She acted a bit out of sorts every single time she came by. It was uncomfortable. We tried to make it a bit easier for her and that's when she said we normally don't split checks at all.... Which I did read on the menu but like, Why? It's not that much harder to run a couple extra cards. I do it at my job all the time. 21 is the highest number of split checks ever! The food is always good at flatbreads old port and we figured the same for this place. We were right, the pizza and salad were absolutely delicious. As usual, the food here doesn't disappoint. However if I could change one thing about flatbreads North Conway, it would be to add your chicken bacon ranch salad with ranch dressing and cage free eggs to your menu!! This place is hard to find if you have never been here. It's literally connected to a hotel and has little lighting and the signage is not great. If your GPS took you to a hotel you are in the right spot the parking lot is on the left side of the building if you are facing it. Our waitress must have been having an off night because she was not engaged and brought us the wrong drinks and then took 25 minutes to comeback to place our food order the same thing when waiting for our check. Now on to the food: The harvest flatbread pizza was so good it just needed more of the toppings, but when you found them it was the perfect bite. Roasted butternut squash and some amazing sausage. The pizza is fired right in front of you and the guys making them do a great job! The place is super cute and I would definitely go back. This place could never get less than 5 stars, for me! What a great chain. The pizza crust is so amazingly perfectly CRISP. Biting down on it is a delight!! The flavours are so good. The chicken mango bbq is awesome! A little on the sweet side of the flavour array, I enjoyed adding the red flakes to it for some spice. All their desserts are incredible - I do have to insert 1 caveat, though - I tried the apple crisp for the first time, and I didn't like it at all. It won't change my rating, but it tasted like something out of a can, it was not good. Never enough ice cream, that I will say is universal. That being said, their salads are INCREDIBLE. I do find it extremely disappointing that I get charged $3 for adding kalamata olives, which the vegetables definitely need, including the $4 upcharge for the necessary and highly delicious goat cheese... makes for an unncessarily expensive salad that I rarely order. If they changed their menu to include this combo as a more cost-effective item, I would order it more, and be thrilled! It is so tasty. You can't go wrong here, everything is so good!! I come here regularly. So far, best pizza place I've found in North Conway with a great cozy atmosphere. Service is great and they'll seat you fast enough on a busier night. I love that you can see the pizzas getting cooked in the giant pizza oven centered in the dining room. They have outdoor seating and are open for the evening. It's a great place for a date night and there are things to walk to around the restaurant like the train station, other shops, or the play house. read more

We stopped here for dinner after an afternoon on the Conway train. Although, busy, there was plenty of seating. We ordered their homemade lemonade. It was pretty sour. For dinner we ordered a cheese pizza and one with mushrooms and sausage. The pizza was very good. Hot with crispy crust. The restaurant itself was dirty. The men's bathroom was covered in urine. We told our waiter and someone went to clean the mess, but it ruined his experience. We found the restrooms in the hotel adjacent to the restaurant to be a much better option.
