This place was recommended by our hotel attendant. We just drove in from a 12 hour road trip- tired, hungry and a bit overwhelmed. We were told their wing and Korean riblets were ridiculously good. However, I found that the wings were incredibly good (sauced with hot). They were crispy, well sauced, and came out piping hot. The ribs, on the other hand, we're not - in my opinion- ridiculously good. They were good (not the best I've ever had) But they - fell off the bone and were hot. I wasn't pleased with the mango habanero sauce. Not as spicy as I was expecting. We got fries as a side. The fries were very very good. Super crispy, crunchy and well seasoned. Love this place!! My favorite menu item to get is the 1/2 ribs combo with the Bbq Chiltepin sauce on the ribs and I get the Buffalo Ranch fries!! It's always so good. The sauce is a little on the sweeter side and not so much spicy but I love that it has actual small chunks of mango in it. I've tried the corn ribs with the Chocolate Chiltepin sauce and they were very delicious. The only way I can describe the taste, is like Mole (the mexican dish). It was still so good and I really enjoyed them! The one thing I don't really recommend doing is take out. I've done it multiple times and each time the food just doesn't seem great. Of course with takeout it all depends on your situation but every time I get my food it's cold, kind of soggy and I somehow end up with all the fat in my ribs. I recommend dining in for the best experience! The service is always so great. The people taking my order are always friendly and answer any questions I have. The food also gets served very fast! The ambiance of this spot is very relaxed/casual. A nice place to dine in although the area isn't very big. Music indoors is good but might lean on a little loud. Our favorite sauces were the mild and hot, Al Pastor wasn't bad, just ok, but give it a try yourself! Looking forward to trying their other sauces, they have all the standards plus include other local flavors such as recipes that include chiltepin. Very cool! Their menu also has options for the wing haters in your circle, burgers and ribs among various other other sides. Seems a silly complaint, but the ranch/Bleu cheese is an important part of a wings meal in our family. The ranch they serve is pre-packaged, Ken's steakhouse ranch. The wings came out crispy and perfectly seasoned with garlic parmesan and large wings compared to some other wings joints. The side of ranch was not needed but definitely nice for additional dipping! The half rack ribs were cut into smaller pieces for easy chewing and the mango habanero flavor is delicious. The fries taste fresh and are crunchy, but lacks a bit of flavor.
