Pig feet y congri y boniato

First time we noticed this place. My husband was excited to find pig feet. It's a casual cafeteria where you can see what they have behind the glass showcase. They give you a plenty food. My husband and I happily shared the plate of pig feet and rice. Food was good and congri was seasoned well. I also tried chicharon which was bit hard. Maybe I won't order next time. The ladies who work there were very pleasant and spoke English. The price is very reasonable. We will be back!

Nice looking Cuban restaurant - buffet style kind of like el Palacio de los Jugos. I got a bunch of things including pork ribs in sauce , crispy rice beans, plantains, fried yucca stuffed with beef , black beans , crispy chicken pieces and a fresh squeezed orange juice . It was hit and miss, I wasn't a fan of the pork ribs but I don't really like those kind of spare ribs anyway, the yucca was good, but the croqueta tasted rotten or rancid and everything else was just so so. I don't think I would go back even though they have a variety of nice looking Cuban dishes.

The service was Attentive, genuine, and on point. You can tell the team cares deeply about every table. We felt welcomed and completely taken care of all night. And the food... hands down, every single dish transported us. As second-generation Cuban Americans, we grew up with these flavors -- plates that filled our childhood tables, surrounded by family, stories, and culture. Every bite brought back memories of home-cooked meals, Sunday gatherings, and our grandparents' kitchens. The seasoning, the textures, the presentation -- authentic and elevated without losing soul. This place doesn't just serve Cuban food. It brings our culture to life. Thank you Mikey for sharing your art with our community, you truly created art on this. They have both outdoor and indoor seating and a free off-street parking lot and also free street parking that is almost always available. There is also a small bar area just inside and to the right of the door. I like sitting outside if there is still daylight since it is quite dark inside, and there are fans on the outside patio. The service is attentative, although I've found that I get speedier service when I am inside rather than inside. Tapas Tuesday has 1/2 off select tapas, typically the most common (patatas bravas, croquettas, gambas al ajillo, etc) but this establishment executes them well. Be warned: the patatas bravas have a more... "cubanito" style with sriracha (hot sauce) and a spicy pink mayo. The potatoes are also cut to be circular and "chip like" rather than the usual cubes that are typical of patatas bravas. Still, crispy and tasty. Also, the boqueronitas a la vinagreta are good. What I like about this place is that the portions are larger than most other tapas restaurants. Two dishes for 1 person can be enough to be quite filling. I also liked the bocadillos de jamon serrano and manchego. ONE ingredient that I do NOT think the establishment treats well is the pulpo. Do they cook the octopus well? YES. Perfectly cooked. But the dishes are BLAND. I taste nothing. I get the good texture of the octopus, but no flavor. Even the "guapo del mar- pulpo" with "truffle" tastes just like octopus in oil. To end on a high note, they have a great cocktail list. They have a martini that I LOVE with I believe lillet in it? Either way, when I am craving tapas that wont break the bank and am in the Hialeah area, I know where to go!

Guisella, a Cuban with Spanish roots, actually just came back after living in Spain for many years and wanted to bring to Miami a little of what she loves from her time there... her love for the food and tapas, bar, etc. This humble restaurant is located in an unassuming area in the west Hialeah area... but packing a ton of flavor into their dishes. Croquettes, Paella, chorizo, octopus... and so on... everything was delicious. You must come here if you want to have a good time and a great meal. Prices are on the cheaper side compared to other local restaurants that do not compare on food quality. (LA Tasca G is it!) Pro tip... ask for items of the menu like matrimonio pincho (a bread toast with tomatoes, onion, anchovies with an olive oil vinaigrette) and many more. The ceviche is also great and only $9.00 This restaurant was a great surprise for which I hope I can enjoy many more times. 2 thumbs up

I feel obligated to write a review for this cafeteria/ restaurant based on my own experience…read more I have read some reviews that say service here is bad. In my experience is actually the opposite. Maybe it is due to the fact that this restaurant changed ownership or management a few years ago and things seem to have improved since. Service is fast, friendly and attentive. Other reviews said that they pay no attention to detail as far as food presentation..... "it is a cafeteria" not a Michelin rated restaurant. Having said that, quality of food here is good, it is plentiful and inexpensive. Most clients here are from warehouses around the area and it only opens from early morning until like 6 pm. They bake their own Cuban bread on premises and have lots of daily specials ranging from like 6.50 to 9.00 dollars. Their Ajiaco, a Cuban soup, is delicious. Also very good here is Rabo encendido (oxtail stew) among others. But almost everything is good here... rice, beans, sandwiches and batidos. Having a coffee after lunch? Mary's cortadito is very good.... and it doesn't lack presentation either. Cold beers are always available. Thumbs up.

They came to fill up waters, were very nice, just that they were a little slow. The place is nice and they must have live music because there is a small stage at the corner setup for a musician, maybe a band of 2 people. Now the food. Overall expensive for what you get, except for a couple of things. The appetizers were actually good. We had croquetas de bacalao (cod fish croquettes) and croquetas de Chistorra. The chistorra croquettes were quite good. Each order brought 6 small croquettes for $12 each. So each bite was $2. Fried calamari were ok but way too pricey at $14 for the quality. Maybe acceptable if it was from Dominos pizza at half the price. The grilled octopus was good but at $24 for one 8-inch tentacle, it's a bit much. Overall, appetizers were good. For entrees we ordered Sardinas fritas at ajillo. These were good and for $14 I think the price was fair. Fabada Asturiana for $13 was not good. It felt as it was made a day ago. The fabes were overcooked and mushy. The morcilla was not of great quality. It had a piece of pork belly fat that was not very appealing and it didn't have neither the taste or traces of lacón (ham hock). The Callos à la madrileña were also a letdown. Not enough broth. It was made with garbanzo (chickpeas) which is not traditional. It has chistorra instead of chorizo. And the tripe did not taste great and at $18 it was even worse. Lastly we also got the grilled chicken with potatoes. $24 was a bit much. This was probably worth no more than $14. The chicken was cooked ok, but they left a lot of the nerves, fat, and cartilage so it was not a great experience eating it. We are of spanish descent and eaten great Spanish food. This restaurant unfortunately was not a great experience in the food quality. Some things were good, some just bad, and overall was way to expensive for what it is. I probably won't be coming back.

There was deliciously fresh complimentary bread (and complimentary water too, which was amazing to find in Miami). The bread was still hot from the oven, and it was nice and crunchy but still soft. The table had olive oil for the bread too, but I don't think it necessarily needed it because it was so good by itself already. The Valencia Paella had chicken and seafood in it, and I honestly loved the combination. The chicken was cooked perfectly so it was nice and tender and also well-seasoned.
