I visited this lovely restaurant this past weekend. I ordered garlic naan, chicken curry and chicken biryani. Everything was so fresh and delicious! On a night that we were craving Indian food, Meateater Hubby suggested Flamin Curry which he's had his eye on for quite some time. I was down to check it out but had some concerns due to its location. Lo and behold, my concerns were validated when I discovered that parking simply sucks in this area. There were some veggie items that I asked if they were vegan and he said that certain pre-cooked items were not vegan but that they can cook a vegan batch if I had time to wait. Small mom and pop shop with a handful of tables and chairs but since the pandemic seems to do better with take out. Parking can be tough on the street but you can park a few blocks down in the neighborhood. You can also call ahead and place your order so you can run in and run out. I got the two item combo my choice was Chicken Tikka Masala and curry cauliflower. Chicken tikka Masala is Boneless chicken skewer that is Marinated overnight with blend of yogurt and different spices and smothered in their curry. Curry cauliflower is their cauliflower cooked in yogurt and different spices. Garlic naan is warm and soft yet crispy in all the right places. Veggie samosa come with 2 pieces it is basically A Crispy pastry filled w/mashed potatoes, peas with herbs and spices. Enjoyed my experience here and wouldn't mind coming back to try more items. Very authentic I believe, but my only issue is that they are not very upfront about costs (it's not a 3% cash discount...like their small sign by the register says...but actually 3% SURCHARGE for using your credit card...and it's rly not usually a big deal but they don't tell you that until you get your receipt). I don't appreciate when small businesses try to get away with false advertising. Lastly, calling ahead does not mean when you arrive your order will be ready to go. Their butter chicken is extremely yummy and who doesn't love the paneer cheese in palak paneer?! My Indian roommate says their palak paneer tastes traditional so if that fancies you, great! The 2-3 combo will come with naan and it's so delicious!! And of course I will get the mango lassi since I have no spice tolerance haha. But on the real, the mango lassi is so addicting. So glad I came here! Tried the Chana masala and Paneer tikka masala- both were on point. The Paneer Tikka Masala had just the right amount of tomato and cream ratio; the paneer was soft and creamy.
