The portions were generous, with a great curry-to-meat ratio, and the quality of the meat really stood out. The goat pieces were thick, fatty, tender, and juicy, while the chicken was cooked perfectly and wasn't rubbery or dry at all. My only minor criticism is that the goat curry was a little watery and could have been thicker. The chicken tikka masala was also on the milder side, but I noticed they sell red pepper flakes for $1, so you can adjust the spice level yourself. The mango lassi was delicious too. Some restaurants make theirs extremely thick or overly sweet, but this one was smoother, refreshing, and tasted like it was made with fresh, ripe mangoes. Overall, everything was really good, the portions were satisfying, and the meat was tender and well prepared. We would absolutely come back!

After several wrong turns and dead ends, we finally found it. At first, the prices seemed a little on the high side. I ordered a biryani, can't remember if it was lamb or chicken. Then the food arrived. It was an ungodly amount of food. There was no way I could have eaten all that in one sitting without getting sick. The amount of food I received was enough for two large meals. If you're wondering about the quality, the cold leftovers the next day were still really good. Definitely a great value for your money!

We'd been wanting to try Kamal Palace for a while since it had been on our radar, and of course we decided to go on Mother's Day for lunch -- fully expecting a long wait. Kamal Palace is tucked away in the Marina Pacifica shopping center in Long Beach, right along the Los Cerritos Channel. Even though it was pretty crowded when we arrived, there were still plenty of tables available, and we were seated within about three minutes. We specifically came for lunch because they offer a lunch buffet seven days a week. When it comes to Indian food, I always want to try a little bit of everything, and when we order à la carte, we usually end up with way too much food. The buffet was perfect because we got to sample a variety of curries and different dishes without overordering. I can't even remember all the names of the curries they had, but every single one we tried was flavorful and delicious. My favorites were definitely the shrimp curry and the mushroom curry. Of course, we both ordered mango lassis, and they paired perfectly with the meal. The ambiance was lovely, and the customer service was incredibly warm and welcoming. We're definitely adding Kamal Palace into our regular lunch date rotation.

This was walking distance from the hotel. I stopped by Wednesday evening after the dinner rush. Was pleasantly greeted by a friendly gal. I mentioned I wanted to order takeout. They do have a very spacious dining room, but I wanted to get back to my hotel room before dark since I was walking. I had already pre-browsed their Yelp page for dinner ideas - so opted for an order of Butter Chicken (which comes with a side of rice), and an order of Garlic Naan. Requested the butter chicken to be mild (or "as mild as possible"). Wait wasn't too long, there was another order ahead of me. My takeout order was well packaged - everything in its own container/wrapper to ensure they stayed hot and fresh. The delicious aroma was tantalizing on my brief walk back to the hotel. Holy moly. I'm no expert on Indian food - but everything tasted amazing! The garlic naan was hands down the best garlic naan I've ever had. It was warm, fresh, crispy in all the right places, and tasted equally great on its own - as well as dipped into the rich and creamy butter chicken sauce. The side of rice is perfect for one person - and the butter chicken had generous cuts of tender, delicious chicken. Spice level still had a kick to it - but it was manageable. Prices are fair considering the area, and quality of the dishes. Friendly and attentive service! I'm honestly contemplating coming back on my last day in the area for another round of dinner - I'll probably opt for a mango lassi next time to help balance out the spice. Like seriously considering going back here tomorrow night. All the portions were perfect - not too overwhelming, and I finished every last drop - saved some sauce to enjoy my last layer of garlic naan. Honestly, if it wasn't so far away from "home" - Amaravati would be my favorite / go-to Indian food restaurant from here on out. Plenty of parking spots at the time I went - but the stalls are kinda tiny. Luckily, I'm staying nearby, so within walking distance and didn't have to worry about parking.

Yum! What a great find in this area!…read more All the items we ordered were delicious. The paneer tikka masala was flavorful and creamy, the chili chicken was spicy, perfectly seasoned, and the chicken wasn't tough or rubbery. The samosas were excellent and came with both styles of chutney. Our order also came with a small side of rice which we appreciated. My only critique would be that the garlic naan was a bit flat and bland, but the former could be because it just didn't transport well since we ordered takeout. Overall, would highly recommend this spot and it holds its own against some of the more established spots in Artesia, Long Beach, etc.!

Staff is super friendly & food tasted fresh, delicious, & - the best part - healthy! I tried the soup sampler trio & the mix & match taco trio. All were tasty! I truly struggled to pick a favorite of each. I also had the iced lemongrass Chai & the turmeric ginger immunity drink. They offered me a sample of the Chai before I ordered it which I thought was very nice. The only suggestion I would offer is to add more lime juice to the immunity drink has its turmeric heavy (obviously) but missing some tang from the lime. Focused on healing the bodies through food is something everyone is needing more of. I have always been mindful of what i put into my body, and truly believe the art of healing ourselves through Whole Foods! Appus Tumeric Cafe checks all of those boxes, with Chefs VRs goal to educate and provide a place where people can enjoy great food with having no cost to their own long term health. I came in on a random Thursday to try it out for the first time and I was the only customer there. Greeted by the Chef and owner himself I was happy to share a conversation with him as he prepared my meal. Like in any new places I go to I tend to panic order and simply asked for his recommendations. I decided to go with the item that will be good for on the go as I needed to eat quickly before jumping to my next work call. I went with The Maharaja Burrito one of those items Cher VR recommended as well as the Yellow Lentil Soup. Along with the burrito came with a yellow curry sauce to also add more flavor to the burrito. Both dishes were fabulous! I truly enjoyed the flavors from both dishes, however I kind of wished I went with their garbanzo soup to add more spice to the overall meal. I will be back for sure to make my way through his menu as everything sounded delicious .

The Yelpers didn't disappoint with the high ratings and reviews of this place. We were excited to see that Flamin Curry 2 had a fast food option in which you can choose 1, 2, or 3 combo as well as Ala carte. We were able to choose what we wanted to eat and sample each other's choices. I was doubly elated when I asked if any food contains any nuts as one of my daughters is highly allergic to some nuts. I was told that in other restaurants, usually the sit down full service Indian restaurants, there may be nuts, but not in this "fast food" Indian restaurant. Our server said all the food in their restaurant has no nuts at all. All 3 of us chose a 2-choice meal which had basmati rice and naan bread included. All of the food we chose were tasty, flavors were authentic, and had satisfied our cravings. I especially enjoyed the naan bread and thought it was the best one I've ever tasted. It tasted so fresh. I loved the texture and butter flavor in my mouth. I chose chicken curry and tandoori, one of my daughters chose butter chicken and black pepper chicken, and my other daughter also chose butter chicken and palak paneer. My daughters also ordered mango lassi (which we were told were made by hand at the store even the yogurt used for the drink) and I had coconut water. The service was wonderful. The servers were very friendly and helpful especially as they found out it was our first time there. They were very open and patient answering our questions. They also seemed to have hand-made and delivered the best naan bread I've had to our table. The ambience of the place is very casual. It was a small place, but had enough tables that people can sit and enjoy the freshly-cooked meal. There was also a TV in which a FIFA World Cup Soccer was playing, so I was able to enjoy the food fresh and even watch the soccer game. What a winner!!!! I would definitely eat there again when I get a chance to and will highly recommend it to all my friends.

The food here is VERY authentic compared to what I ate in Nepal, and even possibly better! They have some great super authentic Nepali options on the menu that I have not seen offered in other Nepali restaurants. The veggie momos are probably the best ones I've ever had in the US! Texture and flavor of the filling was 10/10. Also served with an unbelievably tasty dipping sauce. My Chana masala was also outstanding; the sauce had the perfect rich flavor, creamy texture, and amount of spice. Even the rice was flavorful, delicious, and had a perfect fluffy fresh consistency. If I'm eating basmati rice straight out of the bowl you know this place is legit. Service was great and friendly, and loved the cute boat shaped dishes as well. We will definitely be back.

My only suggestion is that the volcano momo should be redesigned. The flame is too big for the silver platter and it can cause things/people to get burned if not careful.
