Ordered via Grub Hub (thru Yelp). Food we got was good, but we were missing a dish, and the sauce we received was pretty skimpy for the 3 kabob platter we ordered. Also no cutlery or napkins were included, and it was delivered to a hotel, not a residence, so obviously i needed forks. I reached out about it to the grub hub driver via text, but he didn't respond. We end up getting food from here several times a month! It's so good! I can't say enough good things about the food and the sweet people that work here - they are always accommodating to our toddler and stop to chat with us even when it's busy. If you're not familiar with Persian food, you can play it safe with kabobs (chicken, beef, etc). Or try one of the Persian stews - "khoresht". My husband LOVES the khoreshte gormeh sabzi (tons of greens with kidney beans and melt in your mouth beef served over rice), and I often get the khoreshte gheymeh bademjaan (tomato base with eggplant, yellow split peas, and beef served over rice). The food is amazing. The service is awful. This is the 2nd time that we have had to leave with no food, both because they were too busy to serve us (the restaurant wasn't even full). We had sat down and had ordered our food. It is Ramadan and my wife and I were fasting. About 5 minutes later, the waitress told us that our ordered wouldn't be made because it was too busy in the kitchen and that we would wait well over an hour to be served. My family has been going to flame kabob for years and years now, and I can say that this restaurant is one of our absolute favorites in Raleigh. The food and service is always fantastic and has been consistently high quality since we started coming probably 7 years ago. I always order the beef and chicken kubideh with salad or lentil rice and it is always delicious! About a week ago , my husband called and made a reservation for 6 . When my party of 4 arrived , the owner put them in a really bad table. A table near the grill and it was not even for a party of 6 it was a booth for 4 ... When my dad requested to get the table that was in the middle and had 2 extra seats total of 8 . The owner was really rude , and very unprofessional he told my dad "okay... good night" as kicking them out. Flame kabob lost our business we used togo every other week as well as i used tto always order online for over a 100 dollars . Lastly , I always brought food from them for my corporate event . I like this place. Like another reviewer said this place was pretty much empty which is sad. We almost didn't go in because of that but I'm glad we did. Was a weekday evening. Interior is pretty spartan but clean. No beer but the owner was kind enough to go next door and purchase some for us. I went for the beef kabobs. They have the usual Greek salad and rice served with the kabobs. The salad's ok, but the rice real very good! I love their bread as well and the meat was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. Delicious! I had no idea what this kind of kebab was until I tried it. The Kaabodieh chicken was excellent, soft and tender! The seasoning I think is really the star of the show here, it was spicy to the right amount. I was recommended the half and half when it came to choosing the rice. I got the half lentil and half white. I only discovered during the end of the dish how delicious then chicken was when it was wrapped around their nan bread. The chicken was so juicy and the rice is AMAZING!! Their homemade salad dressing was so fresh and light. On top of the good food - the service was even better. Absolutely incredible! Don't let the cheesy sign or other bad reviews fool you - this food is the real deal. Our service was spectacular - owner was so friendly as was our server. Perhaps the servers are hit or miss judging from other reviews, but who cares? Where are you from that a blinking sign out front and dishes less than $15 are synonymous with four star service? This is where you go when you are starving and want to be deliciously satiated, not pampered. We ordered beef dishes with rice and lentils. We also had the hummus which was clearly freshly made. Then for dessert, we had the rosewater/pistachio/cardamom ice cream which was OUT of this world! It also seemed freshly made and my breath literally smells like roses. The level of authenticity in many ethnic restaurants in the Triangle is depressingly low, and my heart is warmed by the fact that some places are keeping it real. Wanted to try a new spot for delivery so we ordered from here on Doordash. We got the appetizers plus combo, the beef kabob with rice and a pita sandwich. My favorite part of the entire meal was definitely the appetizers! The hummus was so flavorful, really smooth and creamy. The eggplant dip was my favorite. So savory, slightly sweet and really tasty. The feta was the best I've ever had! So creamy and you could tell it was definitely homemade with love. Unfortunately, the main entrees were disappointing. The beef kabob didn't have much flavor at all. It tasted like a piece of grilled beef on a bed of rice that desperately needed some seasoning. Other than a side of grilled tomatoes, that's all that it had. The pita sandwich was lacking a lot of flavor as well. It came with meat, lettuce, tomato and onion. Luckily, I had just made shawarma myself at home so I had a lot of leftover garlic sauce and tzatziki so I was able to add it on. I looked over the Yelp reviews of Flame Kabob before going there, and noticed a lot of one star and five star reviews! I was a little skeptical walking past this small restaurant and seeing it virtually empty, but I was intrigued enough to give it a try. One can only handle but so many wings, burgers, nachos and beer; that what some of the surrounding food places offer. My experience was somewhat in the middle of the other reviews. I don't really understand the five star reviews and I don't get the one star reviews either. I ordered the one kabob lamb platter. The wait was to receive my food wasn't too bad. Maybe 15 minutes. The (one) waitress did bring me my tea and bread prior to the arrival of my entree. The tea had a mint flavor to it. Not nearly as flavorful and refreshing as the mint Moroccan tea I had at Sandwich in Chapel Hill, but it was ok. The bread is of the Pita family (Nothing special there, and not much flavor). The lamb kabob was good, but small, and not very big lamb chunks. It wasn't tremendously flavorful either, but the dipping sauce they provided helped (I liked the dipping sauce). They give you a ton of rice, maybe too much. The rice was ok, but I would have preferred more meat, less rice. I am glad there is a Persian kabob option at Brier Creek. It wasn't the best kabob place I have ever been to, but it was filling and different from my norm in a good way. read more

It is nice to now know that there is a delicious Persian restaurant near me! I ordered the chicken kebab sandwich along with my mom. My dad got the cotlette sandwich. I preferred his but they were both very good with great flavors. The portions are very generous and you will probably end up spending between $6-$11 dollars; not a bad deal! I also want to mention there is complimentary Persian tea which is an absolute must. The service here is also fantastic! I was so disappointed! I wanted some good Persian food. So we look for some on yelp and flame kabob has some really good reviews... it was a no brainer that we must try this place out! So we ordered the kashmek badejoon, beef barg, beef koobideh and chicken koobideh. I feel horrible in saying this, but we were just so hungry that we ate as much as we could to get us going, and then we got going! ;-) I really could not get myself to finish the food. It is very rare for me to go somewhere and not want to take my leftovers--this was one of those places... The staff however is super sweet and nice-- servers get a 5 star! read more
