I always come here and the service is always on point. The ladies there work very fast and efficient and maintain great customer service even during rushes. The rice and chicken are portioned very well and pair nicely with the chopped onion. I'm not a fan of the vegetables as I find them a little too firm but that's just my personal preference. I came with my husband for my lunch break. As he's eating his food he bit something hard. Upon inspection we realized it was a small rock and his tooth was starting to hurt. We went back into the restaurant to explained what happened, the cashier Jackie told the cook Arlen what we found and she starts laughing and shaking her head as if she's calling my husband a lair and proceeds to do this the entire time we're trying to figure out what we want to do. We decide on a refund for the 1 bowl as the cook Arlen continues to laugh and nod her head. With reason we are extremely upset and request a manager/owner to speak to because we are uncomfortable and upset with the employees' actions. The cashier denied giving us the contact info and just states to call the store the next day. We are not ppl that like to complain or cause trouble or even leave reviews. The owner said to me (who's a customer almost once a week for the last 3 months of my pregnancy craving for flame broiler) "if you're going to come here everyday at least know how to order correctly" This is how I ordered, "Regular Bowl, chicken, with brown rice please" - he interrupts with his are onions ok? question, I say "yes onions okay, and carrots and broccoli only please". and that upset him. Apparently this entire time I've been ordering incorrectly, but he felt like today was the day to correct me. If I come here "EVERYDAY" (like it's a bad thing for his business) how about you know my order then? or help me out so I can make your job easier. He goes on to tell me how my order looks like a mess on his screen, reads it to me, making me feel stupid over a chicken bowl order . All I have to say is then help me, so I can help you. God forbid that what really ruins his days. Bad customer service is usually typical with him (the owner I think is the older man with the pony tail) he's not friendly especially with phone orders to go, twice he has hung up on me after i placed my order. This flame Broiler randomly closes, you never know when it's going to be open, went there at 5pm on a Friday the girl was inside cleaning the counters and the door was locked, she just looked at me and said we're closed, the hours of operation on the door said 10:15am to 8pm, and several other times I've went there on a Saturday and it was closed. This is one of the best flame broilers around! It is franchise owned and the owner and his son have always been very nice! They actually fill the bowl almost spilling over with extra veggies and rice and they give you a large portion of meat, unlike the others around here like off Mc Kinley they are company owned and suck. They also cook the meat differently and it tastes so much better than the other flame broilers. Flame broiler is amazing in general! Cheap and healthy. Bummer because I love Flame Broiler, I don't get the young guy at the 6pm shift at this location, I get the old dude that works the lunch time shift, and he's very manic. He can be super cool, or a super jerk. One time i ordered 8 bowls (for my company) and I asked for an extra bag for all 20 sauce containers, and his reply was "really..... why? I guess man if you reallly need the extra bag..." I was about to say ef you buddy, here's $0.13 for the plastic bag. I've probably spent easily over $100.00 here on bowls, and outt of the 20 bowls, the same thing every time, chicken bowl, green onions, they've messed up 20% of them.... When you have only 10 things on the menu it shouldn't be that hard. It takes forever too... Their credit card scanner is still using 56K modem, so you have to wait super long time to sign your bill, and if there are other bowls coming out for the other customers, you will have to wait until he hands out all the bowls until he hands you his 1 pen he keeps in his pocket. Severely under staffed for a lunch time shift. Go to another FB location at lunch if you like to be in & and out of a place in under 30 minutes. read more

FOOD: 4 stars Tastes healthy and they do pile your bowl to the brim, which I like. Most other flame broilers don't pack it in as much as they do here. If you don't care for service, then this is probably one of the better Flame Broilers I've been to. SERVICE: 2 stars The older gentleman who works there on lunch shifts is hit or miss. Sometimes he's not too bad, other times he seems like he has something stuck up his ***. I've heard several others say the same thing so I know it's not just me. Personally, I don't have a problem with him which is why I keep coming to this place. But I know of others who vowed never to go again and will even drive to a farther Flame Broiler because of him. I went in today and ordered 4 bowls and 1 mini bowl. After ordering I went outside to get fresh air and noticed a sign that said 3 bowls for 21.00 (can't recall the exact price but it was a great deal) so I go back in to ask the cashier Tania kindly if she had given me that price. She said in a rude tone "No bc you didn't mention the special to me and said I can't remember all the specials the store has." After she said that to me she immediately went to the back and started speaking in another language to her Co-worker. Probably talking about me? Ok fine but did you have to say it rudely like it was my fault? How is a customer supposed to know what specials you have? Most businesses give you the special price.
