Been coming to this flame broiler for a few years now. Never had a problem with them, however the below reviews seem to be true about not getting enough of the portions. I always ask for less cabbage but they don't listen (nothing too crazy). The parking is great, I usually call ahead and my order is always ready before I get there, and it's never too busy. I only have two issues but they're minor. One is that I wish the sauces would be on a different side, people always block that area so it's hard for me to get the sauce I want or even get my drinks. The second issue is that the lady that picks up the phone in the evening kinda has bad english..so when I order my chicken bowl she says "chicken veggie bowl" which makes no sense and my order gets messed up. read more

Not bad... I ordered the tofu plate. You get a decent about of food for the price. The tofu was a bit rubbery tasting. I think it was overcooked. It had good flavor though. I like the Flame Broiler sauce. Portion size wise, it was a good amount. Lots of rice, veggies and tofu. The plate also came with half and orange and a side salad. The salad was kind of meh. Just not my favorite. The orange was fresh and yummy. Overall, the meal was 7/10 for me. It's not something I would be craving to having again anytime soon. Service was good. She was fast with taking our order and making the food. Food came out very quick. Ambiance was empty inside, and I think we were the only customers. My husband ordered a beef bowl with rice. He enjoyed it a lot. He rated his bowl around a 7/10 also. Could have been better. But not horrible. read more

So I ordered from this particular store for the first time. I did not get what I asked for and so I returned to have it remade. The staff at the front argued with me and said they had to cancel out the first order first but their iPad wasn't working. So as I stood there for about 10 maybe 15 minutes, they called the store manager (I assume that's who it was), and they were still trying to figure out how to void out the old order. Meanwhile, my new order which was made correctly was just sitting there because they wouldn't give it to me until they fixed their issue on their side. So finally, I called Grubhub support which is who I ordered from and they gave me a full refund right away and I left. So not only did they provide awful customer service, they wasted two meals. When coming home from school, I tend to go to this one more than the one on Chapman. They have speedy service and the food is delicious. I usually opt for the chicken bowl with extra chicken or sometimes on the side which is a little more. The chicken is always juicy and tender. The hot sauce matches well with the meat. I always wanted to try the bowls with the veggies, but never came around to it. Must try one day. I also noticed that this Flame Broiler is cheaper than the other ones. It's only $4.99 for a chicken or beef bowl, where other places like the one in the city of La Palma on Valley View are .30 to .40 cents more. With any franchise, there's slight differences at each location. This converted Walgreens now houses the Flame Broiler, complete with a drive through. The menu is the same but compared to the other Flame Broilers, this location charges you extra for brown rice. Its not much... 50 cents, but add it to a family of 4, and that's a buck extra. Also, in the drive thru, they won't provide you with jalapenos. They make you park the car and come inside to get it. Umm.. sort of defeats the purpose of "driving through". I'm not sure if the price is the same as the others. Probably not. The food is good, the staff is average, and they offer a side of Kim Chi for $1.85. 4 stars for their nickel and diming me of the brown rice. read more

The Good: One of the best teriyaki bowls you can get. You can get chicken, beef, chicken and beef, chicken and veggies...the possibilites are endless! And they also have plates, which come with salad, for those with bigger appetites. The Bad: This location is small, so I'd suggest taking it to go. Try: the chicken bowl with brown rice. Brown rice is good here. Trust me. Don't Try: the brown rice if you don't like brown rice. But you could still try it. read more

Flame Broiler, one of the best places to get teriyaki chicken/beef. I discovered this place when I was working at a vet nearby, it was love at first taste. I'm not big on teriyaki but Flame Broiler is definitely an exception for me. The orange looking hot sauce they provide in the pump is awesome, it kind of reminds me of a more sour version of Tapatio sauce. They also have their version of teriyaki sauce called "Magic Sauce," and that is good also. I'm not a big fan of the beef because it has a weird texture to it, ehh. Not bad at all. I mean honestly I was expecting something really Americanized and horrible. I was expecting super dry meat, over done rice, and a sauce that is loaded up with sugar because that's what I usually get at quick chain restaurants like this. Let me say that I was pleasantly surprised. I got a bowl because I wasn't super hungry and I didn't want to be left with a huge plate of food half eaten. I got The Works bowl and it came with plenty of meat, vegetables, and rice. I dumped my Magic Sauce on top of everything and it was a solid meal. I don't care for the salad they serve on the side here but it seems like a nice place to grab a meal when you're in a hurry or just don't want to cook. 4/5 read more

Golden Bowl, eat your heart out. The Flame Broiler is the new best place for fast-food teriyaki beef/chicken. With the exception of the Rib Plate, all the portions are very generous. The chicken is consistently excellent and the best of all the meats. The beef good but the chicken is better. Though they don't give you much rib, the rib is surprising tasty. If you order the Rib Plate, order an extra side of rib. The rice is good, everything is good. The Euclid location is rather small so I always order to-go (in advance by phone). Love how they give you extra green onion when you ask for it. You can't go wrong with The Flame Broiler for a fast, relatively healthy meal. read more

I have to say, I had a local that I was working with tell me we need to go here for dinner...as it was quick and we were working and needed to get there and back pretty quickly. We actually in and out before I could get me a couple of cups of the extra sauce and a hot sauce. So, we got back to where we were working and this thing was HUGE! I atually needed to get a plate to transfer this onto. I got the chicken bowl with brown rice with veggies and I have to say, the Chicken was off the hook. I usually visit the one in Cypress. However, last week I was in Anaheim, and I went here to get a chicken bowl and chicken salad to go. The bowl was ok, but the chicken salad was... cabbage. I get lettuce and iceberg at the Cypress branch, but here, I get cabbage. Moreover, the portion was significantly small than the one in Cypress!?!?! What the Hell??? And YES, the price WAS identical. I was SHOCKED when they told me they would not omit the broccoli and onions which I cant eat. I went here as an alternative from Yoshinoya and it was certainly not bad. The restaurant is relatively clean. Menus are pretty simple as well. The base prices aren't bad but some of it doesn't make sense to me. The drinks are a bit pricey and who charges $2.50 for kimchi? I can buy a small jar for that price and take some home for later. That's silly. I ordered a chicken/beef bowl. The chicken was at least a good cut and not slimy. Problem is there was no flavor and it was basically very boring. Even the Magic Sauce couldn't help it. At least not compared to the beef which was smoky and had a great grilled flavor. I did enjoy their "Magic Sauce," it did enhance the flavor, but alternatively, it also changes the flavor. Honestly you don't really even need it, I thought the beef was tasty as it was. The spicy did make things more interesting, next time I'm sticking with that. Presentation is pretty unspectacular and very basic. You get rice, a bed of meat, sprinkled with green onions. Portions for the regular bowls were pretty good. I saw what the mini-bowls looked like and honestly they look like a complete waste of money. Stick with the regular bowls. The service was all right, the cashier seemed unhappy and like she didn't want to be there. The food came out after about 5-10 minutes, odd to me since there was no one else in the restaurant but I guess it's coming out fresh? I'd still come back here but service could use some help and adding some more veggies on or with the bowl wouldn't be bad. If I had to compare this place to anyone else, it'd probably be more like Panda Express, and in that case at least Panda has more variety of entrees to go with the bowl. read more

My fiance and I have come here a few times and we actually really like this location. The serving size of the bowls are actually really decent too. You get a lot of chicken, or beef with your order and you can take as many sauces as you want to go, a luxury that is unfortunately not available at every location. The only problem I have is with the size of the restaurant. It's very small and I am not too fond with the location either. In addition, every time I've gone, I've never been greeted or talked to. Not bad at all. You can actually see the cooks preparing the food and most of the time the counter tops are really clean. The area is not the greatest, but the food is what matters, I suppose. The sauces are tasty and not overly salty like other places I had teriyaki from. The veggies are steamed good enough and I think you can also substitute the white rice with brown. If you are a health freak, you can pick your brain with their nutrition facts they have hanging on the walls at this location. read more

I'm super upset because of what just happen at this particular location. I order a chicken bowl with brown rice. My order comes out and put hot sauce on it to realize it was white rice. So I go and ask for it to be switched out. They then proceed to give me a brown rice on the side and I'm like how am I supposed to eat it like that. They're like nothing we can do you already put sauce on it. Excuse me you guys were the one to make the mistake not me. She gives me a plate and I'm like seriously.
