I recently backed into a friend's car and filed the claim with my insurance company. Cosmetic damage to my car and a small dent to the friends. We both received two estimates and both shops were within $50 of each other. Since Flair was on my insurance company's preferred list we both chose them. The first problem was encountered by my friend. Because of employee and scheduling issues, it took Flair an additional 2 days to repair the small dent in his vehicle. He later received a call from Enterprise that the Flair was refusing to pay the additional 2 day on his rental car, even though it was their fault the vehicle was not ready in a timely manner. I contacted my insurance company who then contacted Flair and worked it out. Flair will now pay the extra 2 days. This should have never been an issue. I dropped my car off for the repairs and when it was time to pick it up, the actual bill for the repair was nearly double that of the estimated. Flair's comment was the overage would go to the insurance company and not out of my pocket. To me, that is not the point. They are the professionals, so how do they miss the actual cost of the repair by 84%. There was no body or hidden damage to my car; only paint. Given the fact that I had 2 estimates that were very close, I have a difficult time understand why it nearly doubled. It's for reasons such as this consumers are skeptical of the auto repair industry. Hopefully I will never again require the services of a body shop, but if I do, it certainly will not be with Flair. read more

Flair Body Works Experience Being a longtime client of USAA, I am confident that I will be looked after when it comes to banking, accidents, claims, etc. My personal experience came when there was a fire raging out of control in Munford, OK (Creek county). Traffic was redirected around the fire by police and fire crews, when my lucky number came up that fateful day. A very large tree that was still on fire decided it wanted to hug my truck doing considerable damage. With that being said, I filed my claim with USAA and was quickly accommodated with a rental car (I'll mention in a following review). The adjuster came the next day and assessed the damage. I mentioned to a friend that my truck was damaged and I was looking for a body shop and she recommended Flair Body Works | (405) 330-4883, 913 S Broadway Edmond, OK 73034. A few days later I found myself driving the truck to Edmond to turn it over to the body shop. Fairly easy to find off the main drag, I walked up to the counter and was immediately greeted with happy, caring people. My service contact was Dale, who accept me and my truck as his own. We looked over the vehicle, the damage, and then I turned my baby over to him to get fixed. I was very hesitant at first just handing a very expensive truck over to someone I just met, but I was reassured that the truck will be fine, that it would look like new when I got it back. I later took this survey about the service and the company as a whole and here are my answers. 1. Overall service - 10 out of 10: The truck looks great and was returned to me like new. 2. Customer service - 10 out of 10: I was treated with respect and they understood all my needs. 3. Vehicle ready when promised - NO: It took about a week more to finish the truck but it was worth the wait. 4. Keep me informed - YES: They are extremely good at email, texting, and calling the customer throughout the entire process. This has to be the best this any company could ever have for their customers. 5. Cleanliness of vehicle upon return - 10 out of 10: Very satisfied. Was even detailed. Love that. 6. Recommend to a friend or family - 9 out of 10: The reviews I've heard in the past made them seem shady but I didn't have that problem. I think maybe the customers whom used them in the past were just too picky, demanding, and who knows what else they can be, but in my experience--a 9 out of 10 only because of the rumors. 7. Return for rework - NO. The vehicle looked new again. The floor mats were lost in the process; however, they did send me new ones to replace the old ones. How cool is that. I must say that my experience with Flair Body Works was more than satisfying with their customer service, work, attention to detail, and overall care for the customer. I need to mention that even though rumors can fly around with the advantage for other customers to make a quick judgement of a business, I recommend doing your own research rather than following the complaints of a family or friend. Rude and never submitted my claim! Walked in to the shop and the front desk gal never looked up. I told her I was there for an appointment and she curtly informed me someone would be with me shortly. The women that came out to take photos and do the estimate was polite but addressed the male that was with me instead of me (my car, my appointment, speak to me). I had to point out a dent on the rocker as she didn't even open the damaged door to check the inside. She exclaimed, "oh I would have missed that!". Waited 8 days, followed up with USAA since I hadn't received a check for repair and was informed the estimate was not submitted. They called Flair and were told it "slipped through" and they'd submit it right now. I determined at my estimate appointment that I wouldn't be using them but failing to submit the paperwork is what earned them a Yelp. read more

Took my vehicle in for an estimate over two weeks ago. Set an appointment to bring it in for the work on Monday this week. I also asked for an estimate for additional work that I intended to pay cash for. Now it is Wednesday and they are telling me to come and get it, refusing to do any work on it at all. Insurance was paying for the accident damage and I was paying for some additional work. The owner had his estimator give me this info instead of doing it himself. I recently took my 2012 Jeep Liberty to Flair for body work incurred in a fender bender. About $1800. I called on a Monday and emailed my estimate from Liberty Mutual. I had an appointment for the next Monday and left the Jeep. They estimated a week and a half. Four days later - Thursday afternoon - the Jeep was ready. Looks brand new. Would recommend them highly. First of all, I have used Flair for well over 10 yrs. +, and in the (5 occasions) past had found them to be reasonable, professional and priced fair. My last experience, (which is still not resolved, 45+ days later), leaves me with a terrible feeling about Flair, just sickening. I went in for a "tailgate replacement", trusting and hoping to get the same quality workmanship and customer service I was used to from prior visits. I was wrong, it is terrible. First , after leaving my truck for 10days, (for a tailgate replacement), I went to pick it up, and it was filthy, inside and out, covered in paint dust all over my black leather seats, and the tailgate looked as if it had been "chained and drug" on the street for a few miles. wrong emblems, wrong stickers, just a pathetic showing form a once respected company. Now more than 40 days later, my vehicle is still not repaired in the manner they agreed upon, and I have made dozens of phone calls, always with a promise to send someone out....false promise. Then It is uncovered one of the GM's basically lied to a person in the business office about his "attempts" to call me...lovely customer service, to call your customer that.!! I would never recommend them to anyone, not even to paint a tricycle.. just terrible. read more

We took our daughters car here after a hail storm. The quote we received was the same as what the insurance issued a check for. While they had the car a submittal for an additional $1200.00 Was sent to our insurance company, which was approved and two days later the car was ready. When picking up the car we had the money for the original quote, they expected us to give them the additional $1200.00 they requested from our insurance 2 days prior. When we told them the insurance was sending that check to them, but would snapshot them a copy they got extremely upset and very hateful! We had them check their email and when they received the message from our insurance company it seemed to aggravate them more. Ronnie was very rude as was the lady at the front desk who continued to roll her eyes and make rude comments as well. We had planned to take another vehicle next week, but that won't happen. When we got home we pulled them up on the BBB which they had a D rating. Had we known before hand we would have never taken the car there. Yes, the car is whole again, but there are many paint and body shops capable of repairing your vehicle without all of the grief. I'm only giving them 2 stars because the work performed was done satisfactory, in fact Ronnie was so upset over the $1200.00 he wouldn't even do a walk around with my husband. Nice folks and the body work was completed well but the communication with me during the repair process was below average. When I initially dropped off my car I was provided a form to check how often I would like updates on my vehicle. I indicated I wanted updated two time per week. I never heard from Flair once. Over a two week period I had to call every time I wanted an update. I called on a Wednesday and was told the car would be ready the next day; it ended up being ready nearly a week later. read more

I wish I had read all these reviews about Flair Body Works instead of relying on one recommendation! I got nothing but excuses from them. After getting estimate, I took the car in for repair on the following Monday and asked for a quote for some extra work on the car. I was quoted $400.00 for the extra work and I said, Lets do it! I was told the parts for my car were in and my car would be ready in three days. By Friday I had not heard anything, so I called Flair Body Works. I was told the parts were delayed by the Tsunami in Japan. (Where are the parts that were there on Monday?) Now they say the parts will be in on the following Monday. Five days pass. On Friday my insurance company calls me to see if I am happy with the work they have done on my car. They were surprised to hear that I did not have my car after two weeks. The agent called them to inquire about the status of my car. A little later, I got a call from FLAIR telling me the car was ready (2-WEEKS not 3-DAYS later). As soon as I arrived on the lot I walked to my car and saw that they had not done the work that I had been quoted for $400.00. When I questioned why they did not do the work, I was told, I do not remember that conversation. This is just the most ridiculous excuse I have heard. When I dropped my car off, and asked for the extra work, why didn't he write it down? Now if I want to do the work, I will be without my car again. This was the point of having them do the work now! I will tell everyone I know and post this information everywhere I can think of. The work they did do is nothing special, they can't remember what they are supposed to do and they LIE!! Took my BMW there 12/21/15 for hail damage. They said it would take a couple days to fix which was fine because i went skiing the rest of the week and thats when everything went wrong with this company not only did they keep changing the pick up for almost a full week but when i got my car back it was trashed on the inside physical dust and crap all over the interior of my car, the steering wheel, both driver and passenger seats were moved which i'm not sure why they would have the move all that stuff to fix hail so i am starting to wonder if some of the employees were joy riding it. Also the radio was turned up and on a station i don't listen to. Along with all that they seem not to care about you or your questions it seemed like my questions and concerns were an inconvenience to them. I don't recommend this place to anyone. If you drive a nice car and care about like i do mine expect to get your interior detailed and cleaned up like i have to do now to keep it looking nice. read more
