I have been without a dishwasher since early February in a new home that wasn't even a year old…read more Southwest Homes will not take my texts or return my phone calls. I am so angry at them I really feel my review should be minus 5 stars. I have been told parts would be in sometime in July, then this week, and I just heard the end of August. I told Caleb to get off my property at one time I was so angry with him. They never listened to me. I would see a light on late and go to the house and a workman was putting a glass shower door on the wrong side. That repair involved more granite work to change. I walked in late on an electrician about to hang lights on each side of my stove. I said hi and he said "We were just discussing where to hang the lights" I told him I was the owner and I'd like to tell him where he would hang them. Siegert AC were a disaster from hell to work with. I looked at a toilet that was installed and it was not correct nor the other 2 that were sitting in the living room. All were eventually changed. The windows I look through each day were not what I ordered but they were much better I was told and I wouldn't be charged extra!!!!! I walked in when they were opening the cabinets from Kent Moore Cabinets and they looked like really bad trailer house trash. I asked them NOT to install them. Well, you guessed, they installed and it took about 6 visits from Kent Moore to stain them so they half way looked like I had intended them to look like. I had to fight Southwest Homes every step of the way to get what I finally have. Which is NO DISHWASHER IN A NEW HOME.

He truly listened to what we wanted to make sure we were 100% happy with everything. There was always a work crew there each day and they completed our custom home in less than 6 months. We couldn't be happier and the home is exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend Southwest Homes to anyone looking for a home builder in the College Station area.

I recently contacted Jeff to represent me as a Buyer's agent to purchase a fourplex or duplex in…read moreCollege Station. Rather than represent my interests and help me buy an investment, he immediately referred me to one of his own listings. He was not initially transparent about it and I had to ask him to clarify. Nonetheless, I did like it and thought it was great so I asked him to write up the offer. After weeks of waiting, back-and-forth, and document preparation (the documents he sent over had several mistakes), he ultimately said that the seller wanted to back out of the deal. We had agreed to the deal in email and verbally and there was never any question that we had a deal and would close. I passed up other deals and dropped other negotiations that I was having to buy other properties so I could focus on this one. Jeff caused me economic loss. Throughout the process, Jeff was difficult to get ahold of, and I think he did not operate in good faith and was not transparent with his maneuvering behind the scenes. He lacked professionalism and attention to detail. Perhaps worst of all, upon backing out of the deal we had in writing (email) and verbally, he simply disappeared. He could have called me, been professional, and helped me find a different property. I still have cash and want to buy something! He could have even just went back to the Fourplex I initially wanted to buy. I suspect he disappeared because he was ashamed of what he knew to be unethical behavior. I'm surprised a reputable firm like Century 21 would allow Jeff to hang his broker's license there. I've done several deals as a buyer and seller. For investments and to live in. My mom is a broker in Oregon and I've been around the business for over 25 years. I was even a licensed broker myself for over a year. I respect the profession and appreciate how hard brokers work - but I've also seen my fair share of good and bad brokers. Jeff is not one of the best. I'm really disappointed.

Do your homework before you hire Chris and Aggieland Contracting to do your remodel work. I hired…read moreChris to demo a shower and build an ADA compliant shower. While the finished product is beautiful it turns out he is a cheap skate. ADA laws are not in effect for residential buildings, and I understand that from the research I did. However His original quote stated specifically ADA compliant and all standard practice procedures I found were to include grab bars in an ADA compliant shower/bathroom for residential use. Chris refused to install the grab bars unless I paid an extra $615 on the back end of the originally quoted cost. This shower is for a 72 year old widow. How horrible that he would be not only deceptive, but also refuse safety and peace of mind to an elderly woman. In addition to the shower, he was also to install a custom steel front door to the residence as stated in the quote. His crew installed a fiberglass door which he claimed to be superior to steel. That is possibly accurate, but still not what I asked for. A week or so later he installed a flimsy box store steel door that I could probably bend with my bare hands. He told me that I would need a new quote to get the door that he said he would install originally. The new quote was for an additional $4500. Chris doesn't care about his work. He only wants to deceive you so he can squeeze you out of as much money as possible. By this point I was sick of working with him so I told him to paint it and get the job done. The third problem I had with Chris was his worst of all. During one phone call I had with him about the front door He stated "you are being too frustrating to me to have my crew install a different door." I understand that there will always be incompetent companies out there, but how can a decent business owner stay in business if he chooses to insult his customers? As a small business owner myself, my number one priority is making sure the customer is happy. Chris doesn't care what his customers think and his insults are proof of that. All that said, Angel and the rest of the workers were wonderful. If a problem arose they jumped to make it right without question. For instance during the demo they discovered some wood rot and had it replaced within a couple hours. At the end of one day they discovered that the drain was installed incorrectly and it was replaced first thing the next morning. Chris However only cares about collecting his payment. Your satisfaction will not be a concern to him. If you love to shell out money and don't care about getting what you paid for go ahead and hire Chris and Aggieland Contracting. Just understand that you will probably have to hire a second contractor after the fact to finish the job.
