I finally resisted the wafting scent of the pretzel stand and tried Juan Taco at Flagship Commons for lunch today. The chips and queso were just what I was looking for, but the chicken quesadilla was a little bit of a letdown - served super hot, it took five+ minutes to cool down enough to eat, and when it was, I felt like I was really missing the cheese. Unfortunately there was also a piece of gristle in my quesadilla. It happens, but it's definitely a turn-off when it does. I'm not chomping at the bit to return to Juan Taco, but it's likely I'll eat there again in the future. I really enjoyed the craft sodas available at the soda fountain for the same price as the old standbys. I tried both the cola and the cream soda (yum!) and picked up a cupcake from Aroma's for later. I'll definitely check out a few of the other options in the future. I'm admittedly a fairly picky eater, so, sadly, some of the spots just don't have much for me. I'm all about upscale food, which I consider a good number of these places to have, but I always appreciate some simpler options on a menu for the 12-year-old diner in me. I dig the atmosphere - reminds me of some places I've been to on the East Coast. It's a refreshing move for a mall in Omaha. I look forward to trying a few more things there. read more

Had the ramen, fantastic! Went on a Friday night and there was live music playing with strung lights--did not seem like we were in the middle of a shopping mall. Coming from Arizona and visiting here this was a huge surprise. The tacos here are fantastic. I had the carnitas tacos with beans as well as the green chili rice. Still can't believe I had one of the best tacos that I have ever had...in Omaha. The order comes with one taco but you can add another. One might almost be enough but your taste buds will be asking for more so you might as well. My son loved the steak quesadilla too! read more

It was good. The flat bread is really the highlight of the sandwich. It's crisp and delicious. The feta fries were a fun explosion of flavors. Service was fast and friendly. The only citicism I have is the size of the food which could be good or bad depending on how you think of it. You're definitely not gonna leave hungry. But you're definitely paying for it also and most likely wasting a lot in the process. Only suggestion I have is for them to consider smaller portions at a reasonably smaller price. I hate wasted money and wasted food. It was good though. Something a little different. read more

I ordered a steak "bowl" that was served to me in a cardboard tray. The steak was dry and the portion was tiny for the $8.50 I paid. I ended up taking the food back and was reimbursed. I could get a better steak bowl at Taco Bell for $5. This is the 3rd time I've tried this place and I have never been impressed. I won't be back. read more

So, I am not sure how to rate this place, as a food court or as individual restaurants. This place is billed as elevated food at the mall, so I was excited to give it a try. My wife and I went there during the week for lunch and the crowds were manageable with plenty of places to sit. On the weekend it is a different story. Adopting a divide and conquer strategy, my wife went to Weirdough and I visited the Yoshi-Ya ramen stand. I ordered the standard pork broth ramen bowl and the pork buns. The ramen noodles were cooked well but I found the broth to be flat and under seasoned. The pork buns were fantastic, highly recommended. From Weirdough, my wife ordered the Boomer and Pistachio pizza. The boomer was dried out, likely from being under a heat lamp. I am quite sure these pizzas are frozen then reheated, booooo. The Pistachio was made to order which was better, but the greens were dressed with so much oil it was off putting. As we were striking out we decided to see if Juan taco could save the day, it didn't. We ordered the chicken tinga and fried fish taco. The chicken taco was just "there", not good, not bad. The fried fish taco has a good crunch, but was unbalanced with too much acid, needed a bit more sweet in the sauce. Overall, my disappointment level depends on how I view this space, as a food court or something more. As a food court in a mall it is not bad, but individually, these shops need some work. For now I would just stick with Amsterdam until the other places work out the kinks. read more

For being my first time eating ramen in Omaha, NE...all I can say is my meal left me satisfied. I ordered the Tonkotsu Deluxe, not knowing what it looked liked or how it tasted. If it is your first time eating ramen, you can't go wrong with the Tonkotsu Deluxe. When I received my meal, I liked how the different colors of the components were set up because you could easily identify what was what. Overall, I would come again. read more

I can't stop eating this pizza. It's unusual, it's basically a flat bread with pizza topping, but it's SO GOOD. The way to do it is to buy by the slice. I'm a big guy and I only need two slices to be more than satisfied. Prices are not bad, pizza is very fresh, and overall I don't have anything to complain about. read more

It may be in a mall, but this is not your typical trashy food court! As someone who has worked at this mall on and off for over six years, i can honestly say I'm SO happy that my food choices for my lunch break are no longer taco bell and burger king. The blatt has bomb burgers, they are big and fancy and you can get eggs and bacon and different kinds of cheeses added to them, which is how i like to roll with burgers. I also love the feta fries at amsterdam, I don't know what all is in that creamy garlic sauce, but i want to be buried in it. The salad place has HUGE super green, really fresh salad ingredients that they mix up in a big bowl right in front of you. The chips and queso at the taco place is pretty average, i have not tried anything else there yet, but I've been told the tacos are pretty great. The sushi place is the same menu as blue, so if you like blue, you'll be fine. They also have these noodle bowls on the menu, as well, and the korean bbq one i had was awesome. I've been to Tokyo several times and this ramen place has the most authentic japanese ramen I've had here in the midwest. I read reviews where people complained about the noodles here being 'chewy' and I'm like, dude, they're supposed to be. If you want mushy noodles you can go eat at olive garden. The gyozas are bombbbbb too. Long story short, every time i walk in here i see lots of smiling faces and i see people trying new foods that maybe are foreign to them, or maybe ordering things that they wouldn't typically eat....and that's awesome. Omaha is breaking out of it's boring shell a little bit with this place, and that makes me happy. read more

Tried the Amsterdam falafel and the Fresh green place. While the decor is decent and the food is good, the young (teenager) crowd is a turn off. They are loud, uncouth and selfish. Not the best environment for a decent meal, post movie. Doubt I'll be going back. read more

I'm sorry about the rating, but this is really all it deserves. Inside the place is cool with tv's and a full bar but that's were it ends. The food was very disapointing i went to the kabob place and got the beef and lamb plate and after spending about 11 bucks I was hoping to get something awsome, but it was terrible, ice cold and the meat was tougher then beef jerky, and the fries were floppy and gross. After about 2 bites I thought I would try my luck with the taco joint and ordered a fish taco that was five bucks and what I got was a taco bell size taco with a sliver of battered fish and a very wet slaw atop the fish that leaked all over when you tilted it. Get that ripped off feeling each time I eat here. I much preferred the old food court. Amsterdam is tasty but seriously overpriced. Just had maybe 1/4 cup each of cabbage and tabouli salad with a small portion of meat with a drink over $12. I'll choose to eat before I shop next time. read more

Friday night probably isn't the best time to go if you're not all about hanging out with the high schoolers, but all in all impressed with what they've done here. Great selection! We've tried Juan Taco, Blatt, Yum Roll and have always been a fan of Amsterdam. More expensive than a normal food court in a mall, but quality is certainly better. read more

The new food court has less than half the seating of the original. We went on a Friday night expecting it to be crowded, but it was insane. Not that there were more people than usual, but because the place is poorly designed. We finally found a rickety table near the door (it was 20° outside) and felt like the chairs would break under us (I'm not a large person). The place was very loud and confusing. The food was fine, but not at all family friendly. Our dinner was over $40 for two adults and two children. It's definitely a place for single hipsters and pretty much no one else. read more

We went over to Juan Taco and the young man wasn't very thrilled to be working. We have never been there and he wasn't very helpful at all. He sold us items and declined to advise us that the drinks weren't included and he wasn't helpful in ordering. They were very understaffed. We ran our card a few times b/c we werent very informed of the menu. My little girl wanted a pizza so she ordered from the place next to Juan Taco. She also wasn't very friendly and helpful in ordering. Frankly I also feel as though they should put as much effort in training as the building of this area. It took us an hour to order b/c they weren't trained on the menu. Or (if) they were they weren't helpful. If I wanted to be treated like crap I would've rather gone to McDonald's were I would at least expect not much from them.At the very least a friendly face. Tried Amsterdam and Weirdough (not sure on spelling). I agree with others that the prices were higher than we expected for a quick lunch at the mall. My sandwich meal (no drink) and my 4-year-old's came out to just over $20. Even though it's pricey, the quality of the food is better than your typical mall outlet. The falafel was delicious and i can't stop thinking about them. The curry fries? OMG...delicious!!! Make sure you try them with the mayo, they are very good. I had a bite of my hubby's pizza and it was tasty and fresh. Lots of gourmet ingredients, not just the usual stuff. To sum it up, you get what you pay for and it's great to have healthy options when you're out at the mall and hungry. read more

Something for everyone. It is more pricey than your fast food mall food court, but the quality of food is great! I am vegetarian and love the classic falafel from Amsterdams. I had not tried the vegwurst from Blatt until Flagship and it is heavenly! The vegan ramen from Yoshi Ya is a must! read more

I love this place!!! This is always my last stop after I shop. If it's your first time here and you can't decide where to eat, I highly recommend Yum Roll. They have very filling and yummy Yum Yum Bowls (hence the name). They are basically rice bowls with toppings of your choice. I also love their Philadelphia roll with salmon and cream cheese goodness. Finally! Maybe Clever Greens wasn't the most anticipated addition to the flagship commons line up but it was the most necessary. Straight forward, exactly what you think of when making your own salad. Portions are great, so you don't feel cheated out of anything when eating a salad as a meal. The steak add on is already cooked (not done to order) but hot proteins aren't a must have for me on salads anyway. The variety of greens they have for the base of your salad is nice. I love arugula salads, even if I did have to shell out 60 cents extra for it. They might wanna think about bigger mixing bowls for their salads though...the sales are so big it was almost comical to watch them try to toss everything together. In a vacuum this place would get a 3.5 or a 4 but gets a 5 because it's in a mall... in Omaha, NE. Flagship Commons is trying to reinvent mall food, the logo is right above Clever Greens stall, the most game-changing eatery in the bunch. Not a coincidence. read more

Flagship commons is an interesting foodcourt in Westroads. Although the choices of places to eat seem nicer than the normal fast food food court, I think I would miss having those options. My boyfriend and I both decided on Yoshi-Ya for their tonkatsu deluxe ramen with the bacon chili oil. Although kind of pricey, it is really good and fast. We've also been to Ika in Benson and thought it was good but the ramen took a long time, and you had to buy water. Since it's a food court, you don't feel as compelled to tip also. During happy hour (Sunday-Thursday, 7:30 PM-Close & Friday & Saturday, 8:30 PM-Close), the ramen is $2 off, and I think that's a pretty good deal. read more

SO DISAPPOINTED!!!! Ordered from Door Dash and food quality was TERRIBLE. The curry fries were by FAR the worst!!! The delivery wasn't super quick. But, there is NO WAY the fries were even close to fresh when they were picked up. There wasn't a suggestion that they'd been warm this century and they were like chewing a nasty piece of rubber!!!! I didn't get the sauces that I asked for. The Cobb salad ranch dressing tasted watered down and added very little flavor. If this was my first impression of either of these, I would definitely NOT be back. Ordering these items for delivery from DoorDash is pretty expensive. I'm not sure if I will do it again. read more

The thing I like about the Commons is that it is the perfect place when you and your dinner partner can't agree on what type of food to eat. I have now tried several of the restaurant choices. I just need to try out the last two that they have to offer. The dining area is large and can get pretty noisy. You are at the mall after all. They keep this area nice and clean. I always see at least one person cleaning and picking up. They also have awesome soda fountains. Overall a much better experience then the old style food court found in most malls. read more

I spend 2-4 nights a week at Westroads Mall while my girls practice VB at a nearby fitness faculty. I love and hate Flagship Commons. Hate: Annoying wi-fi that forces you to Facebook as soon as you open safari......I'm sure you can circumvent vent this but it irritates me so I just skip the wifi when I have work to do. Overly pungent stench of curry upon entry. Love the upside is all the food court vendors I frequent serve booze if you're so inclined to purchase. Decent greasy spoon at The Blatt. Try the chicken strips. Overpriced tacos. Dry pizza. Love the ramen joint. Want to try the sushi restaurant but I hesitate simply because it is a "fast food" establishment. If I want to get sick, I'll pay 1/2 as much at a place like McDonalds. Just wish Canes and Panera were there. Life would then be complete. read more

Bland food, terribly organized and overstaffed. I received a gift card to all Flagship Restaurant Group and they would not accept the card even though Yum Roll is listed as a Blue Sushi grill. Really pissed about that. The sushi rolls tasted bland and were falling apart. Blue sushi is one of my favs so I will no longer be coming to this 'affiliated' restaurant. Also, the ramen sucked too! I went to Juan Taco and had the chili con queso w/chips and a carnitas quesadilla. Both were really good. I've never had a carnitas taco or quesadilla before and it was great. Realistically the chili con queso was definitely a full meal for one person, or something to be split between 2 or more people, and it should be because it was $5, wasn't amaaaazing, but it was a lot of food. Next time I'll probably get two of the carnitas quesadillas. Interested to try more places. Be warned that the ramen place's line was at a 30 minute wait time the entire time I was there eating my food. read more
