Our standard order is mango salsa, mild salsa, Flacamole, two bags of tortilla chips, and a bag of sweet crisps. This place unfortunately receives ZERO stars for us. We recently learned about this location and called ahead to confirm availability for tamales which they confirmed they had some availability for purchase. We drove down before they closed at 3PM Sunday to find out not only they had no tamales but the only person working the store and most likely the person I spoke with five minutes early lied to my face claiming not sure who you spoke with but no tamales for sale. This review is only for the chips and salsa. A coworker told me about this gem in Livermore. This stylish small specialty take out store has some basic needs for a Mexican night! I came for the chips and salsa today but looking forward to trying their tamales next time. Chips were fresh and crunchy. The Mild Salsa was also very fresh. It had a bright vibrant tomato color. The mild flavor still had a slight kick to it. Bummer, I had to minus 1 star for the price. $17 for a bag of chips and salsa. read more

I was walking through Downtown Livermore and stumbled upon Flaca's. The line was out the door, so I knew it was something to try. It's a small, to-go style shop with AMAZING tamales! Tamales are my favorite & I was so surprised I haven't been here already. I got 2 orders of pork and 2 orders of chicken tamales. As well as a bucket of the red sauce and spanish rice. The lady working the register was lovely, and provided me with the directions to warm the tamales when I was ready to eat them. Flaca's offers outstanding chips, salsa, guac, and queso. They also have great tamales and Mexican soups. They are only open a few days a week and even on those days hours are limited. They often sell out of popular items so you need to get there early. The staff is very friendly. For any one who likes Mexican food - and who doesn't - Flaca's is a must. read more

All I have to do is drive past Flaca's and my mouth starts to water. The guacamole is the best. Their tamales are to die for with the delicate masa and moist filling. Wow, great homemade tamales. Had the spinach mushroom and Chile cheese. Microwave 35-40 seconds, flip and another 35-40 seconds. Texture of the masa was tender and flavorful. Plenty of filling and savory. Also bought the pork but too full to have that yet and will freeze. 5 stars and I'm sure the pork will be just as great. Albondigas soup is beef broth with meatballs, potatoes, rice, carrots and celery. Delicious!! Love her chips, thick cut but yet light and crunchy. Do be warned that the hot salsa is hot, I loved it but a little too hot for the wife so will get the mild next time. My go to for tamales from now on. read more

I heard about Flaca's salsa's and chips for all the raves on social media. Flaca just opened her first store front business this last weekend so I thought I would give it a try. We purchase mild salsa and a bag of chips..........OMG.........Seriously these are the best chips and salsa I have ever had. We ate the whole bag of chips in two days and now I have to wait for her open again on Thursday to pick up another bag. From going from selling at the Farmers Market to an actual store is awesome, especially during these Covid times......I am a true Flaca fan and I know once you try her salsa's and chips you will be too......She also has hot and tomatillo salsa, Flacamole, and tamales too.....Check her out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I live in Oakdale and love to stop by Flaca's when I'm in the Livermore area. I've had their chips, salsa, guacamole and tamales. I like to pick up a container of the tender shredded chicken. Flaca's is a staple in our house. The salsa and homemade chips are hands down the best I've ever had. My summer favorite is probably the corn salsa although the mango salsa on salmon is another must have. Her tamales are absolutely LOADED with the goods. Hard to find them with the right ratio of meat/stuffing to masa. Flaca's always have a generous filling for that perfect balance. What could she do better? I would LOVE to have those cinnamon/sugar ice cream bowls offered once a month! or at least every holiday? That was a special treat for 4th of July. Went to Flaca's on First Street, yesterday. The person in the shop was so helpful answering questions about the different items that were available. We purchased the Pork Tamales, Chicken Tamales and the Green Chili Cheese tamales along with tortilla chips and mild salsa. As it was our first time there, she gave us a bag of Sweet Chips with cinnamon and sugar, which were delicious. We had the Chicken and Green Chili Cheese Tamales last night with the chips and salsa. So good, we are definitely going back! Looking forward to trying the Pork Tamales tonight and purchasing the Spinach and Mushroom Tamales in the future. Prices were very reasonable at $8 for a 2 pack of tamales and some of the best chips I've had; and I do mean better than restaurant chips. read more

'm not one to share bad reviews - but i just had one of the worst customer service experiences! The cashier who checked us out lacked a sense of empathy. A bag of chips fell from the counter and we essentially grabbed another bag, because of course why would we want cracked chips? As we got another bag- the cashier proceeded by telling us- "oops sorry, you will still have to pay for those chips even if they fell from the counter." This didn't set well with me and we asked to speak to the manager- who was Flaca herself. The cashier to be Flaca explained to her that we dropped the chips and in turn have to pay for them. The cashier had so much attitude that it was getting extremely annoying. Such shame that due to a bag of chips- they lost a patron who has visited quite frequently. I understand they are a family run business- but the more they should be chasing loyalty. 0 stars- never coming back! Don't waste your time! You'll get better food with better customer service elsewhere! read more
