I highly recommend Travis Bowen for his great work, dedication, and awesome business model. But I…read morewill only trust him. My first visit is with Bryson Donaldson, he over quoted and way under delivery. His quality of work is like hiring a guy from Craigslist. He replaced two laundry valve both with the same color and a shower stopper, all parts value under $100 and spent less that 1 hours, he wanted to charge $800, that $700 for labor.... Laundry panel was broken but he didn't even bother to replace it, which would cost about $40 including the two valves. Secondly he cut open the wall to install the new tube, said that's not his job to fix the wall as he's not a sheet wall guy. ... Could have told me before he started. I'm doing this review because I don't want anyone to get rip off and unprofessional quality work. I will include pictures so people can decide. Good thing I called the owner Travis and he came out and re-do everything, pictures included for comparison. I will never do business with anyone at Bow Tie Plumbing unless it's Travis and the bill is half what it was with exceptional quality. I know that every great business sometime higher bad employee. But what good is the owner understand and is willing to fix and that is a great value in a business. And I'd like to thank Travis again for his awesome work and willingness to correct his employee error.

What initially created the need for the call was a gas fireplace that would not ignite I had previously tried ChatGPT, called a chimney sweep company, and even called the previous owner of my house, all to no avail. Within a few minutes of of arriving, Jordan was able to locate the hidden shut off for the gas fireplace and get it working pretty promptly. While here, he was able to notice a couple of other things that needed attention. My tankless water heater had been installed incorrectly by the previous plumber, and the technicians from Hukill's were able to manage that. And also, when it came to a clogged sink in our master bathroom, they were able to address that as well. By the end of our time together I had heard some good stories from Jordan, I was able to practice my French with Joseph and most importantly had a lot of small annoyances cleared up (literally) leaving my home in better functioning order than when they arrived. Gas Fireplace working Tankless water heated sorted Master bathroom sink I would recommend these guys for the following reasons: * Expertise * Friendly, personable and professional service guys * On time * Fair prices Again, big shout out to Jordan and Joseph. Great service and overall good experience. Thanks for increasing my trust in plumbers.

Today Jordan and Chase did the work on my kitchen sink. I was very pleased with their work and with the service.

They were quick to respond and arrived on time, which I really appreciated. The technician was knowledgeable, explained the problem clearly, and fixed it efficiently. Pricing was fair, though a bit higher than expected for the repair. The job was done well, and everything has been working fine since. I'd use them again and would recommend them, with just a little room for improvement on pricing transparency!!

The price seemed fair, but what I didn't realize is that I'd also be paying in stress, delays, and outright neglect. Communication was almost nonexistent. Jacob rarely answered his phone, and when he did, I got the same rehearsed line every time: "We just need to do this and that--we'll get it wrapped up this week." That "week" turned into over a month of chasing them down with calls and emails that were mostly ignored. When they finally completed the work, they left the crawl space a disaster--burying my cleanouts and leaving the access hole open. After more prodding, they came out to address those issues, and I thought we were finally done. I was wrong. They had also left all the cast iron they replaced under the house, along with filthy plastic sheeting that had been soaking in stagnant water. The result? A disgusting smell now coming up from the crawl space. I contacted Jacob again, and--true to form--he brushed me off with vague excuses before disappearing for good. I even gave him a chance to respond and take responsibility, and he didn't have the backbone to reply. This is not a professional plumbing company. They're unreliable, careless, and dishonest. If you have a serious job that requires any degree of follow-through or integrity--look elsewhere.

Based on the exceptional reviews, I called Schrader to come out and fix the problem. They sent technician Michael Badgley. I was initially given two quotes, one for roughly $800 and the other for $4,000. After a quick inspection of my home, Michael determined that he would have to dig a hole in the back yard at a cost of $5,700. While I didn't really understand how the quotes kept changing, I agreed to the scope of work as I'm not a plumbing expert and needed to get the stoppage resolved quickly. Bewildered, I later sent the receipt to my neighbor, who informed me that my house was pier and beam, not slab as it indicated on the quote. I recalled Michael asking me where the crawl space was and I wasn't able to identify it (my fault as an uniformed homeowner) although I showed him the area I thought it was in inside the master bedroom. He passed right over it without a second look. Later, after speaking with my neighbor, I was able to go over and find the crawl space myself easily. Michael fixed the pipe under the toilet in the main bathroom and then proceeded to tell me that I would need to replace all of the pipes at my house at a cost of $30k. He couldn't even assure me that the problem I had just handed over $5,700 for was fixed. The icing on the cake was the $100 bill that I had tucked into my lunch tote on the kitchen table in view of the technician, and when I returned later it was missing. That was certainly my own fault for leaving it unsecured. I was concerned about the entire process and wrote to the owner, John Schrader. I waited several days with no response to my email or phone calls, which spoke volumes to me as a customer. After my third attempt to contact him, I was finally passed off to a service advisor. I explained my concerns to him, that the crawl space was never properly identified and that I wasn't sure that the repair that was done was necessary. He offered me a refund of $750 "to remove my bad review" which I hadn't yet written. Less than 2 months later I experienced the same stoppage. I called Schrader again and was told that the pipes needed to be replaced. I finally called another plumber who identified the source of the stoppage, this time to be at the front of the house instead of the rear. They fixed the problem for only a fraction of what I paid to Schrader. He explained that the first repairs were unnecessary. If you like being robbed, by all means give Schrader Plumbing a call. I absolutely feel violated and taken advantage of as a single female homeowner. If you want to save your hard earned money and get the job done right, get a second opinion.
