Avoid at all costs! Things that other 1 star reviewers say are 100% true. My new X5 is so severely damaged now that I have to get the whole door painted. They don't use OEM paint and refuses to listen if you question them. I am not suing because he's an elderly and trying to make a living but please avoid them at all cost. Spray painted the whole door including the door handle (who does that) which is now so rough to the touch, I was an idiot to trust him, please don't be me. Update1: Please don't listen to the reply, this review is for this company. And I really hope people don't get their car damaged by this person. read more

John came right to me, was friendly and easy to work with, and did as good of a job as I could have hoped on a very difficult dent repair. It wasn't a perfect fix, but given how challenging the damage was, I'm very happy with the result and would definitely recommend him. read more

John responded quickly with low quote. The price quoted ended up being higher than originally given more than doubled ... So far work was less than average.. waiting for the paint to cure for final decision.. read more

Update: After John responded to my original review, I didn't receive a phone call from him -- instead, I got a private Yelp message in which he made personal comments and called me "nasty." He then sent me multiple follow-up messages insisting that he had refunded my husband and that my husband had given him gas money. This never happened. He's now even claiming we never paid the $600 for his service in the first place. Is he just a very convincing scammer, or has he genuinely lost track of events? Either way, it's clear we're not getting paid back, so I guess he got us this time. Hopefully, this review will help prevent others from going through the same experience. read more

I don't often leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hopes of saving others from what I went through. I hired John to perform some straightforward body work on my vehicle. What I received instead was a troubling display of carelessness, poor workmanship, and broken promises. To start, the paint job (which presumably would have been the most straight-forward part of the job) was done without even bothering to clean the surface beforehand. As a result, dirt and debris are now permanently sealed under the paint, visibly marring the finish. It's not just unsightly--it's sloppy. Even more baffling, overspray ended up on the tail lights, a mistake that suggests a complete lack of attention or pride in the work. Somehow, he also managed to knock the trunk out of alignment--a problem that did not exist before. It now sits unevenly and no longer closes flush, which is as disappointing as it is frustrating. The fact that something as structural as this could be affected during cosmetic work is both troubling and telling. Perhaps most disappointing of all, he originally quoted a much lower price--a number that mysteriously tripled when he arrived, despite having sent him multiple photos to use for the quote. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed, trusting that I'd receive professional service. That trust was misplaced. To his credit, he did acknowledge that the quality of the work fell short and assured me he would refund a portion of the cost. That refund never came. No follow-up. No accountability. It's disheartening to see someone treat their work, and their word, with so little respect. I sincerely hope this review encourages more transparency, honesty, and care in the future--for his sake, and for anyone else who might consider hiring him. read more

Responsive dent repair specialist. I had a car delivered where the delivery created a dent on the rear part of the SUV. The specialist came to my location in lower Manhattan and was able to repair the dent quickly. He was also honest about the location of the dent and possibly requiring a more in depth repair for more money to get it perfect. We elected the lower cost option and he was able to make it look nearly 100% like new. We were happy with the repair. read more

Kept me informed of the plans we've made. Quick and easy. Very friendly and professional.

My Grand Cherokee had a 1.5 foot scratch with rust that needed repair: John was very responsive - even calling me from his vacation with his wife to ensure he got my VIN for the correct paint match. Came to my house and completed repair quickly in my driveway. Offered a variety of additional services for more $ but respected my decision to stay with originally quoted repair / price with an additional $50 for the area's dent repair and door paint blend. When finished, after a short back and forth he agreed to apply my $100 deposit to the final cost of the project as he had originally promised - making it a very fair price for the work. Only accepts cash / Zelle. Good value for convenient service. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews for individuals or business but DO NOT use John! He is not a man of his word & does very poor work. When it comes to redoing it or giving you back your money, GOOD LUCK. All the recent negative reviews reflect my exact same experience unfortunately. His price goes up once he gets here & the value you get for his work is non-existent. I'm ashamed I got conned by this guy as now I have to take my car to an actual shop & spend more than what I should have in the first place since there's overspray near the areas he attempted to repair as well as on my windshield hindering my view. I gave John plenty of chances to make this right & he has failed to do so with excuse after excuse. I have all the communications to prove it and will be reporting him, SMH. AVOID THIS GUY AT ALL COSTS AND SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE !! read more

The dents in my vehicle were a little more complicated than originally anticipated in the estimate. However John (and his wife) were very kind and worked with me on a fair price that the additional work would require and did a great job overall. He drove over an hour to my location and was efficient and cheery despite it being 32 degrees out. I'm sure my garage will ding my car again so I will be sure to use John in the future! read more

John and his wife are incredible!! They flagged us down on the highway to fix our dent! They charged us half of what we had gotten quoted for and fixed our large dent in literally 10 minutes!! I feel like I'm just repeating the experiences quite a few people had with mobile John here. Typical same old crap story. Show me pictures. I show him pictures. He quotes me 1 price. I get there? The price jumps. BY ALMOST DOUBLE. Extraordinary. the pictures look different. blah blah blah. I'm on the phone with my wife as I am on site and my wife is home. As I'm negotiating price with John, he starts to drill holes in my car. When the job is done, I'm telling john, it's not right. fix it. HE DENIES IT DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT. HE SCREWED UP THE BODY CONTOURS. No accountability. He doesn't tell me he had no clue what he was doing. His paint job comes out like a piece of crap junk heap. Dull, flat, dead, The metal completely wrong, out of sync, over extended. I'm telling him, it's all wrong. he argues with me. Ok? Oh... COME OUT TO ME AND I'LL GET YOU TO MY BODY SHOP AND I'LL PAY YOUR GAS AND TOLLS. Uh..no you weren't going to pay any gas and tolls, you have no body shop that you deal with. Scam after scam, lie after lie. Ready for the bad news? I had no choice but to bring my car to a professionally acclaimed body shop. They laughed. THEY ACTUALLY LAUGHED I've never seen this before. It took them 6 days to fix this unmitigated mess. Undue everything he did because the 1st attempted repair, the paint just flaked off. I should have just put a claim into my insurance and paid the 500 deductible and have this crap on insurance for 10 years. That would have been better. Go ahead friends and neighbors, use him, read more

We reached out to a few different dent repair companies, and no one was able to offer the complete services that Fix It Mobile Dent Repair was. We sent the company a picture/video as requested; we were given a quote that we were very satisfied with. The owner, John picked up the paint necessary to fix my dent and was able to come to me within 2 days. John came to my house and worked conveniently in my driveway, showing us all the different phases of the repair. It was so ideal not having to leave the house to get my car repaired. John did an excellent job on my dent/paint job - we were so impressed we ended up having him fix a dent on my husbands car while he was still at the house. Both cars look brand new and it was well worth it! He saved us so much money with avoiding a body shop! We highly recommend this company. read more

John is a nice guy doing nice work, right in my driveway. Quality was good, and he and his partner finished in record time at a fair price. Five Stars! read more

Had to get some body work done a couple months ago as I was moving soon and had gotten side swiped. Was quoted $600, soon as he came price almost tripled to $1500 to which I was unwilling to pay from other extenuating circumstances until we negotiated $1050. Quality did not reflect the price. There is overspray everywhere, paint difference is extremely visable, bondo wasn't even properly sanded and smoothed out & is very uneven to which he said it was normal. When I discovered the overspray the following day, I let him know and he said he would come by to clean it up. He was 30 minutes late and I had to leave asap. He did not remove all of the overspray at all, there is still some on and I've been stuck trying to remove it myself. In addition, his wife kept on trying to do readings on me for a price and have me purchase rocks. I was very naive and overwhelmed hearing this price and was extremely disappointed on how it looked afterwards. Only reason I am posting this review now is because the bondo literally fell apart in one spot and now I have to drop hundreds of more $ to fix this. Furthermore if you look at his recent reviews you will see I am not the only one who got treated like this, their are many other recent reviews of him giving a reasonable quote, then once he comes he will spout nonsense and proceed to try to milk your money for cheap work. Please take my review and other people's review seriously and do not go to him unless you want a poor quality job and drop 2-3x more then expected. He will take advantage of you, you're much better off at a auto body shop. Do better. read more

I reached out for mobile dent repair, and initially, the tech confirmed a 10am appointment. But after a few basic questions about the business (like confirming his Yelp profile and sending photos), I was met with sarcasm and defensiveness. Then he told me the appointment was suddenly taken -- even though I had already confirmed. It felt unprofessional, rushed, and confusing. I'm sharing this for others who may want more clarity and respect in communication. read more

John does Great Work. He was both professional and personable. We communicated from the beginning to the end of the job. His Wife, Betty assisted him, she was very nice. I shared with John, it was truly a hardship situation financially on my end because I'm a Senior Citizen on a fixed income with major health issues and a lot of medical bills. It was a major sacrifice of my savings but my finished car was worth it. Overall Very Satisfied with the Results. Would definitely recommend John to other potential customers. read more

Highly recommend John for any dents/scratches you may have! Noticed my car was hit on Friday morning and immediately reached out to John who was able to stop by 11AM on Saturday! He kept me informed the entire time, answered my questions patiently, and had very reasonable pricing! read more

I had a dent, missing paint, and paint smears on my front end. Body shop said it couldn't fix the dent, so I'd need to replace a panel, and all told added up to a large expense. I didn't want to make a claim on my insurance, so I tried Yelp for mobile dent repair. John replied right away, and came out promptly. The dent didn't faze him, nor the slight misalignment of two body parts. I have a pearl finish, but John made the paint look great. Car looks like nothing bad had ever happened! this is an unbelievable story! I reached out to this gentleman on a Saturday morning. The people who clean my house parked precariously in my driveway when I pulled out of my garage. I hit their car. I felt very badly. They said don't worry about it, but I did. I googled dent repair. And I got John's information. I texted him on Saturday morning about 830. He was in Queens. He was at my customers house around 11 AM. Fixed the project perfectly was extremely reasonable and did not know who I was or how he would get paid. He then drove to Westchester County to pick up his money which I had waiting for this! Nobody in this day and age can't put that much trust into anyone. Let alone a complete stranger yet he did the job before he got paid and then drove to pick up his money. I will keep him in my contacts and I will share his information with everyone I know. God bless you, John happy healthy Thanksgiving! read more
